Jason is great. He's super friendly and efficient and very easy to get ahold of when I need him. I highly recommend him. My family was living in a condo, but we were looking for a house. The first realtor we used wasn't very good. We gave him a list of houses we were interested in, but he told us he couldn't get in touch with the owners of the houses, then showed us houses that didn't fit our criteria. Turns out he was showing us houses where he was the listing agent too. Bastard just wanted extra commission. So we told him we were going with a different agent. I met Jason through some friends. We looked on the Internet for houses for sale and then we told him exactly what houses we wanted to see. Jason also asked our criteria for what we wanted in the house. He must have shown us over 40 houses, but we declined to buy at that time. Even though we didn't purchase a house, we became friends. He didn't show any disappointment when we didn't buy. He just told us to call him again when we were ready. Then 3 years later, we decided to look again, he showed us many houses again, but this time we decided to buy. After we bought it, we had a vacation out of the country so could not do the home inspection, so Jason took care of that and made many notes for fixes, definitely things that we would have missed ourselves. After we closed, Jason organized the move from our condo to the house. He told the movers what to do and helped with all the many boxes. My wife told Jason what she wanted done and it got done. I just watched, because that's all I'm good for. And I want to keep my hands soft. Don't need them calloused from moving boxes. The move went smoothly. We didn't pay him anything extra for organizing the move. It took several hours. Then we had Jason organize the clean up and painting of our condo and he sold it for us. It took a couple months to sell, but we got a decent price, close enough to what we were looking for. We still call Jason if we have any issues with the house and he helps us to resolve it. If you are short on time and looking for a condensed version, then YES, I would HIGHLY recommend him to be your agent. Simply put, he is the gold standard in which all other agents should be like. Whether be in business or personal life, I wish I have more people like Jason around! So here comes the long version of why I feel he is exceptional at what he does, and why he is a cut above the rest. First off, I could be rather critical when it comes to service as I'm in the service industry myself. Therefore, I know what it feels like to have to manage expectations, and go above and beyond the client's needs. Second, I could understand if I was looking at a property on the high-end, and that resulted in me getting the special treatment and added attention. However, I can assure you that this is certainly not the case here. Third, after living in NYC for close to two decades and doing real estate part-time for fun during a stretch, one really gets a lot of insights behind the scene on the business side of it. One of my biggest pet peeves is dealing with incompetent people. Therefore, finding a good agent is a lot harder than you think. Being an out-of-town buyer, I knew I was looking for an agent that was more than a paper pusher, simply knew how to get keys to open doors, and do a search on the MLS. I was looking for someone that has perspective and experience on the investment side. I needed someone with the ability to negotiate well, and have the connections to get things done. It's clear to say that I had the bar set pretty high. So Jason had his work cut out for him long before I even met him in person. Right off the bat, being out-of-town, he OFFERED to scout out and record videos of the places that I knew I was interested. He anticipated my needs and actually made the process a lot smoother because I was able to get a feel for the places long before my actual visit. I had scheduled to be in Vegas for two days thinking I would spent the first afternoon to check out the five places with him, and then use the remaining time to familiarize myself to the area on my own. However, I ended up spending both days with Jason as we went as far as meeting up with contractors, and checking out supplies and materials so I could get a sense of cost for the area. He was exceptional in being proactive and finding out answers to my questions whenever I had one. Jason was outstanding in the way he communicates with others, and being able to get others to open up to him. Whether be the agents on the other side or building managers who have great inner knowledge of the properties, he was able to get answers that were vital in my decision making process. Also, because he has extensive experience in both commercial and residential market, he was able to ask intelligent questions to the contractors that I simply didn't think to ask. The feather on the cap is his commitment to customer service. I had rented a car thinking I would be by myself majority of the time during my visit. After spending the whole day with Jason, he took it upon himself to offer me a ride between the rental car drop-off and the airport, so I could save 20 minutes from my commute in catching my plane. Even the other review had mentioned he helped her move...which agents do you know would do that!?!? I could certainly go on with more examples, but I think you get the point. As it's the same for my business, there are probably plenty of agents out there that could end up helping you find a place. However, due to his intellect, great understanding about the local market, and his uncanny ability to make others feel welcome, he took great care in attending to the details of my journey in reaching the destination. That is something you don't find often. Lastly, because I got the chance to spend so much time with him during my trip, Jason is a genuine individual and truly authentic in how he treats people. Again, coming from NYC, real estate could be quite a sleazy industry. Therefore, I'm extremely thankful to have ended up with him as my agent.
