I found Crims Golf online and gave Leland a call. He spent at least an hour more, like an hour and a half, analyzing my swing, using his swing meter, and taking into account my age, which is 60+. Leyland fit me with an affordable set of new clubs with the correct degree of loft for my height and swing. I couldn't be happier with the set of irons I received. He entertained me and then proceeded to help me with loft, shaft stiffness, and desired trajectory. My experience with this store was amazing. If you go in understanding how you play and what you need. The associates can help! If you just want a shiny new club order it online or buy it at dicks sporting goods. I on the hand being the person needing confidence in a big purchase... am pleased on the help of the staff. We walked around for another fifteen minutes and we were not greeted again. After the initial offer to apply for a credit card two feet inside the front door and my order pickup we were practically invisible. Another note that is irritating. I live in Simpsonville so I have to drive twenty minutes to this store. Upon arrival at 10:40 am on a Sunday the doors are locked! I always check first before going to any business on Sundays and their website states they are open at 9 am on Sunday. You go here for the variety and selection of gear. If you check their website before driving in you'll find they have a good one with up to date info and prices. All the walking and I've lost about 35 pounds the last two years so I needed some new belts. They have a brand called Laze which I like. Lot's of variety, decent prices and the seem to last. I also like that you can 'join their frequent purchase' program and save some cash. They really don't put much of their clothing on sale during the season but that's to be expected. You will find they will be stocking the latest and greatest in most all the golf gear you're looking for, especially golf balls, you will pay a bit more because the won't be available at a discount on Amazon yet. I like to get there "EARLY' because it gets very crowded on the weekends. It was well staffed at check-out and I was able to get in/out real quick without a wait in line. The associate told me that they didn't have enough money in the register to give me a refund. I asked if she could put it back on the card it was purchased on and she couldn't because I didn't have the card, but I had the receipt. I asked if she could give me a store credit and she couldn't because I had a receipt. If I didn't have my receipt, I could have gotten a store credit. She told me to call before I come back to see if they have enough money to do a refund. Don't deserve a 1 star.

We have received record amounts of rain lately so the course was cart path only. The course was wet in places but very playable and fantastic. Overall the course is in great shape and beautiful to the eye. We enjoyed the first 18 so much we played another nine. The staff here is friendly and accommodating. Clubhouse is nice and accommodating also. Tom Jackson designed a gem here and the staff has made it a must play with their conditioning. Treat yourself to a beautiful course that you will want to play again. We plan to return soon and enjoy it all over again!

I went in to get my new Taylor Made irons fit for me. Dwayne was very helpful in the store and…read moreinstead of charging me $500 to put all new shafts he recommended a set of Adams irons and hybrids which he said he was going to add 2" to. I picked them up that afternoon and there was still grip take roughly sticking out from under some of the grips but beside the sloppy job everything was great. I hit better with them and am glad I got them but I re-gripped them last week with oversized grips (which was never suggested in the store although I'm 6'8" and have huge hands). Dwayne told me that he added a couple extra wraps of grip tape to make them bigger around but he didn't tell me that I could buy larger grips. When I took the old grips off I realized that NONE of the clubs were extended 2". They were sparsely extended between 1.25" and 1.5" although he measured me and had me swing and told me that 2" was what I needed. I am playing better golf than ever so I can't really complain, but so am still disappointed in what I found when I took the grips off and found that I didn't have what I thought I was buying.

I was wary of taking golf lessons at a golf equipment store at first. I originally went for a swing…read moreanalysis and was pleasantly surprised. Being an age 60 plus golfer I wasn't sure if I could improve my swing after so many years. I met Tim Fuhrer, one of the instructors and we began the process. I was a little intimidated by all the details of the swing analysis, but it soon came together that swing speed, spin rate, angle of attack and more all had a direct impact on where the ball went. Suffice it to say, I actually began to see improvement. I reduced my handicap from 16 to 12.2 after only 6 lessons. My last round was a 79, shooting an even par 36 on the back nine. I can honestly say I'm a believer in the GolfTech method. I'm looking forward to my continued improvement and fully expect to lower my handicap to single digits.
