Reasons for the 5 stars: 1. Super sweet baristas! 2. Every flavor Syrup you can think of and also MANY sugar-free! 3. Open until 6pm!!! 4. Lots of seating AND...Kids welcome! In town... so, I came again. Food good, lemonade good, the wifi works good. The place is nice and clean and I enjoy led the comfy sitting and options (couches, cajita, tables)). The ambiance is peaceful. My ONLY disappointment was the fact that I told the guy that took my order that I had signed up for the "points" on my prior visit and he said basically: too bad, make sure you tell me ahead of time next time and that was it. I can't help to feel "not appreciated as a customer". In reality I don't even know that then"points" do. The principle of being offered something and then not be given... is the issue . Anyways, I said to him: you didn't even ask me about it. He basically just said sorry, and that was all. Again.... Please know the food was good and the place is nice. And this minor detail is the only thing that prevents me from giving the full 5tars. read more

This place is a gem! I was traveling from Indy to Louisville and needed a cup of joe. Java Station 56 is just off the beaten path and inside a neat historic building. Inside you will find friendly staff, neat decor, and an extensive food and beverage menu. I had a polish sausage breakfast sandwich and a Mocha Latte. Both of which were made promptly and tasted great. I can't imagine finding anything better in this area. read more

Great little place we happened upon while on our back from Patoka. Ton of menu options, much more than I anticipated prior to walking in.. sandwiches, ton of drinks, cookies, etc. I got a cold brew and a cookie.. both were very good. Cookie was soft and the cold brew hit the spot. Only minor complaint, some grounds at the bottom which caught me off guard while drinking thru a straw and driving. I planned on just grabbing a cup of coffee, but ended up staying for lunch! This relatively new restaurant/cafe/coffee shop offers a lot more than just coffee. There are many beverage options including coffee concoctions, smoothies, and seasonal beverages. They also offer some breakfast and lunch food options. I decided to try the Chicken Salad Wrap (comes with choice of chips) and a cup of coffee. While I waited for my order, I checked out a shared space next door that had a variety of shopping options. There was a wall of themed socks, some shirts and jeans, and some Christmas gift type items. Soon, my lunch was ready and it was brought out to where I had selected to sit. (I had paid at the time of ordering.) The wrap was served in a paper lined basket, but fortunately, the wrap had already been sliced diagonally to facilitate eating (and avoid the need of trying to cut it on the paper.) The chicken salad was really tasty with sliced grapes and plenty of chicken. I forgot to mention that all wraps come with a choice of wrap type. I went with a sun-dried tomato based wrap. There is a children's play area near the counter and restrooms, so if you are here to work, you may want to sit closer to the entrance to avoid the activity of the kids. It's located in a corner in Scottsburg downtown. These buildings looks so retro & cute! I had dry cappuccino and cinnamon roll. Both are good! It's a large space with nice seating area. It'll be my work-get away place for sure. For me, if they have a good relax music like jazz in the store I would give 5 stars! read more

If you live in Scottsburg you know about this wonderful coffee cafe, But for those that don't it is a hidden gem to relax in. While my daughter and I got to Scottsburg hour early for her drivers test at the BMV, we stopped in here and got 2 delicious smoothies, The place was very busy and everyone seemed to have smile on their faces since this relaxing atmosphere. there are booths, tables and comfy chairs to sit in to enjoy your drinks or food if you order off their menu. We plan to stop by next time we are in Scottsburg. read more

Pulled into the station on my way home from a work trip and grabbed an iced DARK chocolate cafe with decaf (it was late in the afternoon, I know I know) It was delicious and they had a lot of fun things to occupy your eyes while waiting on your beverage. Worth the stop! read more

Not Java Station, but Time Zone Arcade attached to Java.. they have the absolute best pizza in town! The pizza is fired and amazing. Not too greasy, not too heavy. This is the pepperoni with beer cheese (also delicious). On top of their food being worth the trip, the staff and owners are kind and helpful! If you're ordering to go, know that there usually is only a 10-15 minute wait for your pizza. read more

Popped in here while driving south and wanted to support a local business. Easily found Java Station around the town square. Cute historic building, lots of space and a cozy atmosphere. Ordered an iced chai latte from a woman with no mask which was disconcerting. When I picked up the drinks I noticed they were made by someone with no mask. The drinks were overly sweet and a bit pricey for the area. Probably won't be back. read more

I have been here before and would have given it 4 stars. This time I ordered a BBLT which is a bagel, cream cheese, bacon, lettuce, and tomato on an ASIAGO bagel. I got the sandwich... no cream cheese. The bacon was undercooked for my liking but cooked. She put cream cheese on the top of the bagel after I ask her to. I go back and sit down...it is a plain bagel. I ate the bagel, lettuce and tomato. I visit this town every few months and used to love coming here. I don't think I'll be back. Disappointed after 13 hours of driving when I was just hungry and needed coffee. The dark haired woman with glasses was complaining about sales being down...I wonder why.... The Carmel macchiato was fine.. too sweet but I should have said less Carmel. read more

My family comes in every Saturday morning and orders bagels and coffee. We typically spend approximately $43.50 not including our week day visits after school. Lately the cream cheese on the bagel has been very skimpy. Today I ordered and paid for extra cream cheese to be added to my bagel. When I got my bagel there wasn't enough cream cheese to cover a single layer across the bagel. Not wanting to eat a dry bagel and choke I asked for more cream cheese. The brown haired girl with the glasses didn't even bother to turn around and acknowledge me just shouted she measured it out and if I wanted more I could get in line and pay for more again. If I'm going to pay for it the first time I expect to receive it. I threw the whole dry bagel away. I'll go else where moving forward! read more

I honestly love coming here but the last time i went was not a great experience. i had asked for cream in my iced coffee and when the barista called my name it was black, so my boyfriend asked her if she could put some cream in it. When he asked her she said " well it was not on the order" and gave the tiniest amount you could think of. mind you her and another coworker were talking the whole time and gossiping. read more

I have only been here 3 times & all 3 times have been the past 3 days in a row. I enjoy the cold brew. The staff have been friendly. Today, I actually got to enjoy some food. I had the breakfast wrap (I think it was called a trainwreck). I did say no tomatoes but there were tomatoes on it when I received it. I don't like to send food back so I just picked them out with a fork. My 2 year old daughter always accompanies me which she enjoys to play with the children's train table. I did order my daughter just plain milk which they had to call I'm assuming the owner because they didn't have a button on their computer for just milk (which I paid over $3 for a small cup of milk). I attempted to order her a grilled cheese but they don't carry just regular bread. Only tortillas, bagels, & english muffins. Which is odd for a child's grilled cheese. So I ordered her the quesadilla instead which was also delicious. read more

I would love to see more bakery options, especially at a more affordable price. I am absolutely thrilled that we now have a coffee shop in Scottsburg, however I think that the foot traffic into the store could increase greatly by a few simple fixes-- soft music, a warm greeting, and less train noises. read more
