They were punctual and respectful of our time - which immediately set them apart from other offices. I had two consultations with other attorneys before finding Attorney Pineda, and both were extremely late to our scheduled meetings. The difference in PROFESSIONLISM was clear from the start. The legal assistant assigned to our case was OUTSTANDING. She consistently provided timely updates, guided us through each step, and patiently answered every question I had. After we received the date for our interview the legal assistant reached out to schedule a prep meeting. That assurance alone gave us tremendous peace of mind. Our interview was held on 9/16/2025, and we were thrilled when the officer informed us that we were approved on the spot. My name is Carlos San Roman. I want to begin by thanking God and my family for their support, because I finally have my permanent residency approved and I've managed to cross into the United States... it was a bit complicated, and that's what this comment is about. I hired Attorney Javier Pineda based on a friend's referral. I have no doubt he's a good lawyer, but as the saying goes, "Even the best hunter can let the hare go," and my case was no exception. My case began in 2019 and ended in November 2025. The case progressed, and during the process, I had a minor offense that my lawyer was aware of, which I was fortunately able to resolve with the appropriate authorities. The day of the appointment arrived, and with the necessary authorization, I left for Ciudad Juárez, taking with me the documents my lawyer had recommended. Among them, he suggested I obtain my background check from the county court, which they issued showing no outstanding charges (because I had already rectified the situation in 2023). I sent them a photocopy for review, but they made no note of it. My dissatisfaction stems from the fact that when I was with the consular officer, I wanted more information about the letter I obtained from the court. In short, I was missing the supporting documents for that letter. When I contacted the lawyer's office to inform them of this situation, they told me they could obtain the document, but I would have to pay them for it. Two or three days later, I received a letter from Attorney Pineda stating that his responsibility to me ended on the day of the consular interview. So, if a problem like the one I had came up, I'd have to resolve it on my own? I understand that everyone is responsible for their own actions, BUT MY LAWYER (not the assistants) WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING AND CHECKING THAT I WENT TO THE CONSULAR APPOINTMENT WITH ALL THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS and then some, because THAT'S HIS JOB. As I mentioned before, he's a good lawyer, but in this case, he let his guard down. Let this case serve as a lesson so that in the future, they are more METICULOUS with their other clients. read more

I will be as short as I can on my review, but Javier G Pineda is the best lawyer you will find not only in CA, but also around the country. Without going into specifics, my case to obtain my legal residence was very complex. I asked with lawyers from Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and California to take my case; and all of them had the same answer: There is not even a chance you get your permanent residence, so we rather not take the case. Javier had a different approach to my case. From the beginning he told me what we were going to do and how we were going to do it, and he delivered on every promise he made. Even right before my interview, in which I hired a second attorney just to come with me to the interview, the lawyer that came with me to the interview said that it was not possible to win that case. Words cannot express how thankful I am with Javier, because he made my life reach its potential. I needed an attorney who wouldn't promise what he couldn't accomplish. An attorney who could be honest, dedicated to his passion and who wouldn't charge me an arm and a leg and some! With Attorney Pineda that is exactly what I found and more. Attorney Pineda was able to take on my case although 15 years had passed from when I became a victim of crime. My case was difficult from the get go because so much time had passed by and I had to present proof of everything that I honestly thought my nightmare would never end. Again making my life much easier as we tried to raise 5 children with plenty of bumps in the road. It has now been our 2nd year being able to travel to Mexico to see our loved ones and we are looking forward to many more!
