It was a pleasant experience speaking with Richard and answering his questions so he could evaluate our case for a green card application. Our first impression of Richard was very positive--he came across as honest, friendly, and professional. His evaluation of our case was simple and straightforward. He clearly explained the green card application process and its stages. There was no pressure or sales tactics used after the meeting ended. We felt at ease and confident in Mr. Wilner's abilities and in his law office's capacity to deliver a positive outcome for our green card application, so we decided on the spot to sign the contract. We met with Chrystal to complete and process the contract. She was also very courteous and professional. It's a good sign when everyone you meet at a law firm seems kind, ethical, professional, and good-hearted. The office culture appears to flow from the top and reflects the vision, values, and policies of its leadership. The next day, we were assigned a case manager. Karina is responsible for guiding us through the applications we need to complete and informing us of the supporting documents required. She is our main point of contact (although we also have the option to reach out to the attorneys directly at any time if needed) and will assemble the full application package to be submitted to USCIS after review by two attorneys. Karina has been a pleasure to work with, and we appreciate her prompt responses to all our questions and concerns. The process of completing the applications and gathering the necessary information (including obtaining a certified translation of the birth certificate through one of the office's referrals) was smooth and efficient. About a month later, on April 14, 2025, USCIS received our green card application package and confirmed receipt both online and by mail. On June 16, 2025, we received a notice that our interview appointment had been scheduled for July 21, 2025. A week before the interview, we had a preparation meeting with Mr. Wilner and his staff, Karina and Tamara, to go over the process and what to expect. Mr. Wilner also accompanied us to the interview. The very next day, the online case status was updated to reflect that our green card application had been approved. On July 25, 2025, the online portal indicated that our green card had been issued and the case was officially closed. The entire green card application and approval process was smooth and fast--it took about three and a half months. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Wilner and his law firm for their outstanding support and guidance throughout the process. It was a wonderful experience with a successful outcome. This milestone would not have been possible without your legal expertise, professionalism, and dedication. From the initial consultation to the final steps, your team was consistently responsive, clear, and patient, addressing every concern and ensuring that all documentation was thoroughly prepared and submitted on time. Five minutes into that scheduled appointment, no one called me. I called the law office and said I was supposed to have a consultation and then they transferred me to someone. Did they forget? Not care? What's up with that? The person I spoke with was very cold. He answered the phone as if he didn't know why I was on the other line. He asked how he can help and that was odd because I had already told the person who scheduled this consult what I needed. The person with whom I consulted was named Victor Franco. Anyway, we went over my case and I had several questions. Victor was cold and detached. He repeated himself multiple times. Well if he said something one way, and I still had a question, why would you repeat your answer? Clearly I didn't understand it the way he said it. Finally I said, after one of the times he repeated himself, "maybe I'm not asking this the right way." And I had to ask it a different way. What did Victor do? Repeat himself, only slower this time!! And his attitude, as I continued with my questions, grew more cold and condescending. I'm not asking to be hugged or be given sympathy or even be treated with white glove service. But it is professional courtesy to avoid sounding cold and condescending to your prospective clients. Victor hung up the phone before I could say good bye. He didn't even have the decency to say "good bye." Awful.

We waited 6 WEEKS for the police report, where the reporting officer found him "at fault" after interviewing JUST 1 witness and the driver, who said he was in the intersection. Not wanting to spend $$$ to retain a lawyer, we waited to see what kind of settlement amount the insurance would offer. We were then bullied by the insurance adjuster who convinced my fiancée that since he was found "at fault", they owed us nothing. We contacted a well-advertised billboard lawyer who told us we had "no case" because he had been found "at fault." Feeling dejected at a low moment of exasperation, my fiancée signed a settlement agreement of $10,000 as he was told "that's all you're going to get because you were found at fault." I literally got home :20 after he signed. I was furious and this let to a lot of fights between us. I found John Rajee of RMD Law on Yelp as a lot of reviews said he handled "difficult situations." He was kind and professional but also understood human nature and the whole dilemma we faced- trying to get a contract invalidated AND attempt to re-settle with the insurance company. He also advised me on different ways MY auto insurance could help even though my fiancée was on a bicycle. Although John consulted other colleagues to discover ways to secure a better settlement, ultimately nothing could be legally done to get the settlement contract negated :( Unfortunately, my fiancée and I had to move forward with accepting the circumstance. Through all these developments, John kept advising us and was professional and thorough. He advised me as an experienced counselor and also just an honest guy who took the time to reassure me that basically it wasn't the end of the world. Frankly, I was very very angry with my fiancée over his moronic decision to sign, and speaking to John just honestly helped me move past my anger and put the whole bad situation behind me. I would absolutely recommend John and his colleagues to anyone seeking legal advisement, and I will definitely refer him to friends and family. Even if you just need an answer or two, PLEASE contact RMD before signing anything, taking action, or accepting offers. They absolutely will help!

When I first met Javier, I had let my DACA expire by about three months and honestly didn't know what my options were. From day one, he was straightforward with me. He never made promises he couldn't keep, and if something wasn't possible, he told me. I appreciated that honesty. Over the next few years, he helped me renew my DACA, obtain Advance Parole, and because of that I was able to see my mom for the first time in over 10 years. That alone is something I'll never forget. After I legally returned to the United States, he guided me through my adjustment of status through my wife. It was a long process that took about 2-3 years, but throughout the entire journey he and his secretary stayed on top of every deadline, every document, and every question we had. They always told us exactly what was needed and kept the process moving. Today, because of Javier and his team, I have my 10-year permanent resident card. To say the least, Javier Pineda has changed my families life forever in such a positive way. Being brought into the United States when I was a mere baby, the dream of my parents was to have a better life for us. However with how the times are going, being labeled as "illegal immigrants" had myself and my family concerned about what was going to happen next. BUT with the help of Javier Pineda and his team, we were able to receive our residency. Mr. Pineda has been there for my family and I for quite a number of years. Mr. Javier Pineda and his staff are an amazing immigration law firm. My father, who has worked and lived in CA for over 30 years had two prior denied cases due to unscrupulous so call lawyers/notaries. Due to this he had lost all hope and trust in the system, but at the age of 73 he decided to make one last attempt. As a family we consulted with various lawyers, but it wasn't until we met with Javier and having a thorough consultation that we knew he would be the one to carry our case. Mr. Pineda was honest with the pros/cons and didn't give fake promises. He remained available throughout the case and provided my father with support every step of the way. Copete turned out to be the biggest mistake…read more After prior representation made errors with my case (that included not serving the proper defendants), Sergio proceeded to also fail to properly serve all parties involved in my matter. Sergio would also constantly complain about being stressed and overwhelmed by the many cases he would take on. That's why it wasn't surprising that there would often be times when he wasn't familiar with important aspects of my case. Sergio also is a very poor communicator. With the English language not being his strong suit, he would struggle when it came to both speaking and written correspondence. As a result, he would get frustrated and lose his temper when not being able to articulate a point, or if he couldn't understand someone else's position. What made matters worse was that Sergio never took any responsibility for his actions. Any mistake he made was someone else's fault, no matter how many receipts you may have on him. Sergio also lacked commitment. For instance, he would just drop off for several weeks and go radio silent during crucial times of my case. Then he would threaten to quit whenever present with concerns. So it was pretty disheartening knowing that I couldn't count on my attorney during a time when I really needed support. But the most painful part about working with Sergio was that he lacked empathy and compassion. No matter how many mistakes he would make, he would always put himself first and had zero regard for my feelings. In fact, there were times when Sergio would behave unprofessional and talk down to me, only to walk away with $10,000 dollars of my hard earned money. So to put it plain, Sergio never made my case a priority, which didn't make me feel valued as a client. So I had no other choice but to dismiss him as my attorney. I just wanted to share my story.
