We used to be die-hards for Jax Donuts in La Habra, but I would happily make the drive to this Donut Star in Fullerton. Their classic old-fashioned, double chocolate, crumb, and blueberry donuts are some of the best we've ever tried. They always have a great selection, too. And don't forget the milk! The "mean" woman who works here has always been so kind to me. She remembers me when I come in, asks how I'm doing. I can tell she works incredibly hard and puts in long hours. The cinnamon rolls here are coated with a good amount of glaze but it isn't overly sweet so it is good. They don't skimp on the cinnamon either. My wife had a Bear Claw (her fav here) and could only eat half so I had to do my duty and finish it. The thing melts in your hand when you even pick it up. The bear claw looks big and heavy but it is light, soft, and just plain good. The apples inside are just a bonus. Prices range from .80 cents, .85 cents, .95 cents, and $1.25 for donuts. You make your purchase at the window (no inside entry) and they clearly display all the fresh donuts they have at the moment in the window. There is some seating outside if you are lucky enough to grab a spot from one of the regulars but I have eaten most of my fair share right in my own car in the parking lot.
