You can get a quality, fresh breakfast sandwich here, made by hand with real egg, on a bagel or croissant, and a standard donut for under $10. The two ladies that work here are so nice to regulars and strangers. They have coffee which just about everyone gets and an espresso machine for speciality drinks. I have tried those. Took a day off from work to do some errands, which includes returning some stuff at the Floor & Decor a few feet away. Saw Wendi's Donuts from the parking lot and decided to walk there to treat myself to a quick donut fix. Went there around noon expecting they might be out of the good donuts. Luckily this place still had some good ones left...I bought a chocolate cake donut w/peanut sprinkles & a buttermilk. Both priced $1.45 and as scrumptiously delicious as you would expect. Got it to-go so I can eat at home with some home-brewed afternoon coffee. It was delightful! Lady at the counter was nice. read more

Since my original review, I have been back only a handful of times. I feel they deserve to be bumped up a star. The donuts are always so fresh and delicious! Breakfast sandwiches are cooked to order and mouth wateringly yummy as well. The bacon is perfect! Donut prices have gone up slightly to about a buck a piece. Still not a bad deal for the wonderful variety and quality. Not only do they have flavor-packed breakfast sammies, their lunch menu has some pretty sweet options as well! Quality lunch meats, soft breads, definitely a great place to stop. But come early, they are only there for breakfast and lunch! Also, service has been so much better lately! They must have canned the unhelpful and bored teens, the ladies here now have been super sweet and very nice! Very cheery, which is what you would expect from a morning place. Although small and in a parking lot that is in major need of maintenance and repair, this little gem is well worth stopping by... it's nice to see that there is always a nice flow of people keeping them in business. After our last visit, we've decided we need to frequent a little more often than just every few months. Great job Wendi's, see you again soon! CHEERS!! read more

In case you do not know, donuts are a good friend of mine. I've tried stopping by Wendi's Donuts several times in the past, but each time they have been closed. Finally stepped through their doors a couple of weeks ago. The shop was clean. Service was good. Prices were more than fair. My two donuts tasted good. Got a Blueberry donut and a Custard filled Chocolate donut (my favorite). I'd rate the Custard Filled Chocolate donut 4 stars. At least for the donut I received, the donut to custard ratio was off. There was too much donut and not enough custard. Blueberry donut was 3.5 stars. Overall, Wendi's Donuts is a good donut shop to patronize. I'd be a regular if I lived in the neighborhood. read more

WOW! So I walked into the office pleasantly surprised to find this monstrously large food item wrapped in white paper on my desk. My coworker brought me a ham, egg and cheese croissant for breakfast. What an awesome gesture! I unwrapped that sucker and was quite enthralled when I laid eyes upon that large super buttery croissant, heaping with ham, fluffy egg and oozy cheese. This place is a really a hidden gem. Much cleaner and well decorated than most donut shops I've visited. Most of the food is hand made. There are nice tables and chairs with a good view. You feel like you are escaping the busy work week. I like their lemon poppy seed muffins and their iced mochas. Donuts are delicious too! read more

Wendi's is a locals secret for the BEST SANDWICHES. You get 2-3 times the amount of meat than anywhere else, plus the veggies are always FRESH and crisp. You get what you pay for, I won't buy my son Subway anymore. Their cold cuts are of low quality meat & cheese plus they only put 3 ounces of meat on a 6" sub, then pile high the veggies to make you think your getting more. So I work construction and I'm constantly getting the crew we work with donuts for early jobs. I've been to dozens of donut shops and by far, hands down, Wendi's has the best donuts! If I bring any other donuts the guys complain and we end up throwing half of them away, but not here. The guys love these donuts as do I. Always fresh and always lovely people working behind the counter. The two ladies always are happy and whats a better way to start your morning then with a warm fresh donut and friendly service with a smile. sorry my last batch of reviews arent entertaining. im drained but energetic cause i drove 300ish miles today... wendi donuts/coffee shop has been around a bit. i hardly eat donuts. yeah i rarely do. i go to boston donuts to buy crap for the la habra aarp that meets weekly at la habra tobacconist. i never had food here but it looks good. the coffee is good. they four flavors plus decaf. hazlenut, vanilla, house and something else. the coffee is self serve. they have the hot pots and u fill yerself. i like this method because u can mix and match and fill it up at yer own discretion unlike sbux. the large cup o joe runs for $1.80. better than the $2.60 across the street at sbux which i sorta live at. the owners are kind and friendly. i wish them success and longevity.. encourage all of u sbux folks to patronize wendi. the parking is plentiful. long live proprietorship, booooo cronie capitalism and corporations :D sorry, i cant shut my activism off that easily. read more

Gluttony, here I come! The cheapest and the best donuts in the OC. Sandwiches aren't much, but oh-my-god-the-donuts! Get the sprinkles and the ones with the cherry filling, freakin' delicious! Also, the muffins are out of this world. The coffee is respectable too, take the moccha. The place itself is clean and decorated wayyy above any donut shop I've ever been to. This place really has it all - right off Imperial Highway, a little hidden gem in the Best Buy parking lot, delicious donuts in every flavor imaginable, fresh bagels and toasted sandwiches, coffee, tea, and probably more that I'm forgetting. Had a chocolate-glazed donut and part of a cinnamon roll that my partner got (I couldn't resist the smell!). Both were incredible. Warm, fluffy, glistening with sugar. Mmmm! I just went back this morning and tried a glazed donut (just as delish) and I created my own breakfast sandwich. I'm not sure if they're always cool with that or not, but they didn't bat an eye when I asked for a "Bagel with egg and cream cheese instead of regular cheese, plus a tomato". Got the toasted asiago cheese bagel as my bagel choice, and O.M.G. A vegetarian's dream, I must say. Light, fluffy, warm, fresh-cooked eggs that weren't greasy laying atop creamy cream cheese (ooohgod it was good) and on top of that 2 fresh tomatoes! My mouth is watering again just thinking about it. Service was super fast. The sandwich and donut cost me $3 total. TOTAL! My partner got a dozen donuts for $7.99! I mean, you really can't beat that price-wise, and nothing is sacrificed for taste. Sitting waiting for my food, I watched the regulars come in and grab their morning coffee. The smell alone made me want to order some, but as I was getting my food to go (I have coffee at home), I decided against it. Only $1.19 for the coffee though. Good pricing. All in all, FABULOUS! Ami is the greatest, as well as her employees. They offer a fantastic breakfast sandwich selection and great lunch selection of sandwiches. Great prices and always hit the spot! Not a coffee drinker so I can't rate that; but I see a lot of the same people come in and grab a coffee. Always friendly and welcoming, the place they call you by name, to put the morning smile on your face before you walk into work. Oh and the donuts are great, I have had "donut wars" at work and Wendi's has won each time. They keep trying new places, but each time the people choose Wendi's as the better tasting donut. It's just a small place where they remember your name and order; I love when I call in and (caller ID) they answer with my name and my order, it just that... just a great place! I absolutely love their breakfast options! I know it's funny to hear me say it, but I really do love going there for their breakfast menu. I live around the cover so it's super convenient for me and my family to walk down. We love the environment and the vibes that the workers give us. They are super nice to my daughter and always seem so happy to serve! I've never had a bad experience for as long as I've been going there. I work down the street and used to pop by before I'd hit up Mervyn's that used to share the same parking lot. Mervyn's is gone but this place remains and boy am I thankful.
