I'm honestly getting very close to canceling my full-service monthly plan. This morning around 7:40 a.m., there was only one employee working, which already set the tone for a slow and less thorough experience. While he was very nice, friendly, and professional, the quality of the work just didn't match. It looked like the towel used on the inside of my windshield was dirty, which left it looking worse instead of clean. I've also tried going to other locations--Birmingham and Royal Oak--but both are consistently backed up, making it inconvenient no matter where I go. At this point, I'm starting to look into competitors because the service just hasn't been consistent or up to par, especially for a monthly plan. I really hope improvements are made soon. read more

Quality at Jax is so awful. Always a disappointment. I hate the fact that they are buying out every car wash they can. You know all the promises they make are just lies. I couldn't even use my free pass at Greenway because the attendant said they were bought out by Jax. Is that my fault? You wouldn't honor a pass just because you changed the name on the sign? Jax claims they take care of people and they'll tell you to talk to a manager to make things right. It's a tired canned response. Every wash I got the trunk of my car was still dirty. Fingerprints clear as day from when I close my trunk. As someone who loves Jax, today's visit was hard to defend. Was at Jax's location for 57 minutes waiting from waiting for my interior cleaning (there was only two cars in front of me) to getting all the way thru. Gentlemen that cleaned my interior did a subpar job especially in relation to the time taken to do the cleaning. Staff on 12/4/25 from 12:00-1:00 was extremely subpar 1/5 for sure. read more

I usually get pretty good service at the telegraph location, but on October 15, 2025 I got excellent service. From the gentleman that works at the booth, the two men that cleaned my car's interior and the gentleman that towel dried my car who went over and beyond my expectations. I returned the following day to get another vehicle cleaned and to give a greater tip to the men that provided such top tier service for my vehicle the day before. Sad to say that they were not there. To my surprise, the gentleman at the booth remembered me from yesterday. I had to drive up there several times after never getting a call back, and each time I was promised another call that would never come. But look how quickly they respond to a bad review. Suddenly this issue is important enough to justify the 3 minutes? Jax had no problem sending me all over town to get quotes on the repair they now insist has nothing to do with them. Unfortunately I have to give a one star because after they were done cleaning the inside of my vehicle I got back into my car and proceeded to the outside wash through the machine when suddenly water started pouring from my sunroof that the employees did not properly close after cleaning the inside. Luckily I was able to close it but a decent amount of water came in all over me and both my front seats. I've washed my car many times and this has never happened because I don't mess with my sunroof before a car wash. The worst part was the management afterwards. I came back and the employee helping me was extremely kind, I wish I had his name because he was trying everything to make the situation better. When he had management come by to apologize and ask about a refund he became very defensive and annoyed I even asked. He even questioned me if water actually came into my car and if I messed with the sunroof beforehand. I would suggest trying a different location. read more

Now a car is probably the second biggest retail purchase someone makes. So maintenance is extremely important. The monthly inside and out car care is a good value at Jax. But, if you've gotten this far in my review your probably wondering why the one star? Well, unfortunately I'm consistently assaulted by the poor service and extremely negative interactions I have continually with Jax Staff! Jax could be more. It's going public as a company and one would think, want to shed the classic car wash identity of back of the theatre trash. Unfortunately Jax staff continue the tradition of treating costumers poorly. The inside vacuum and wipe down is basically an oily rag ran around the dashboard. And a quick vacuum done poorly. I can do a better job in two minutes or less. The drug atmosphere, acrid weed, cigarette smoke together with rude behavior is appalling! There are many other more professional institutions popping up in the area. I will be changing my membership to a cleaner safer business. I live right around the corner from the Telegraph & 12 Mile Road Jax, so it's my go-to spot for car washes. I get the exterior-only wash. It does a good job getting my car clean and the guys wielding the cloths at the end of the line are always fast and thorough. The only reason this isn't a 4-star review is the line - there is always a pretty long line, although it does move fairly quickly. And I suppose the long line is a testament to the fact that it's a good car wash. read more

The person who used the sprayer knocked the tow hook cover off my car. I watched him do it but didn't realize until after I left what I was seeing. When I got home I noticed the tow hook cover was gone but the car wash was closed. I came back at opening time the next day and spoke to a Manager who said they would look around, ask the night Manager, check the traps and call me. No one ever called. Also, when I was leaving one of the employees commented on my appearance. While his words were nice, I think he should have kept his comments to himself. It did not make me feel good. I went online after a few days and looked into replacing the cover. My car was damaged from being pushed into another car while on the conveyor at this location. There seem to be no (functional) anti collision measures and the workers did not respond when I honked to alert them about the hazard. The manager on duty denied accountability and was hostile towards me. He used an abrasive magic eraser sponge to clean my paint after I asked him not to, making the damage worse. 10 days and multiple attempts to follow up with the location and Jax corporate later, and I haven't heard a word back. This is not what service should look like - mistakes happen, but it is important to deal with them properly and promptly. I'm canceling my unlimited membership and will file a chargeback with my credit card if the payment I made is not returned in full. The idiots who work at this car wash don't pay attention and stopped the belt 3 times for no reason and then they input the wrong car number for the track which then caused the vehicle behind my boyfriends to repeatedly bounce on his bumper from behind. We have video footage of it happening and when trying to resolve the issue, Kyle, the manager kept pointing his stupid little finger on the video and trying to blame my boyfriends car for THEM STOPPING THE BELT AND THEN CONTINUING WHILE THE EMPLOYEE JUST STOOD AND WATCHED AND LET IT HAPPEN. The idiots there after it happened then tried to dry the car like they normally do to get us to drive away and I got out and told them to stop because the car clearly got damaged during the wash due to their negligence. There is no professional person to speak to here, and they make up ridiculous excuses to get away from taking responsibility for their negligence. The staff do not pay attention and are complete idiots just like their manager. I will never recommend this car wash or company to anyone because they are a top tier example of failure and responsibility. Absolute careless fools. The car was on the belt in neutral like it was supposed to be and was following along the belt until they kept inputting the wrong car numbers in the system and stopping the belt. Every time I come here the staff and very pleasant and welcoming. With me having two children and always on the go making it to get a inside detail isn't always at the top of my list of to do's. The guys get me in and out in a timely manner. Come in and see then you won't be disappointed. I never ask them their names but i should although they all deserve some kind of acknowledgment. I struggle with keeping my membership active because they either do a lousy job or you get there and they tell you full service is closed for the day. This has happened to me twice during the week and on the weekends as well. And no, it wasn't raining . It's really almost like it's just better than nothing at all. I have 2 small children that make a mess all the time so I have to have my vehicle cleaned continuously. Everytime I'm here, I have to tell them to clean on the sides of the seats or get the spaces by the door handles . They leave crumbs in my vehicle and sometimes don't do a good vacuum either . I literally have to try to do a quick look over before I pull off. It's always crowded so I can never look it over a long time without feeling like I'm holding up the line . I'm gonna look for a new full service location. This one just isn't it . I've asked several times especially once they tell me they're down for the day after I've wasted gas coming there. They tell me another location to try but then once I get there, they tell me they only do exterior . SMH bad customer service all the way around . I may just need to cancel my membership and go elsewhere. read more

Just had the best experience at Jax's car wash on telegraph by 12 mile in Southfield. I had to take my car in there to get detailed it was a mess inside because of my golden retriever it looks like a new car inside no other way to put it they did an excellent job the receptionist at the desk was friendly and competent, the detailers did an awesome job they were polite I would definitely go there again Was a half hour drive for me to get there but definitely worth the trip keep up the good work guys read more

JAX is pricier than other car washes, but you get better quality results, no swirl marks on your paint, attention to special requests, and great service. The first and last visit to Jax for me. I pulled into Full Service, explained that I had never been to a Jax. The clerk gives me a menu to select from. I select the $34.00 car wash and interior cleaning. When the car was pulled out for me to get into, I immediately noticed a peanut on the drivers side floor mat. I said "Oopsy, you dropped one of yourr peanuts". I knew this because he had a mouth full. I then get ready to pull away and my drivers side near the steering wheel wasn't wiped down. I said, no biggie, I can do that later today. Well, I went to the grocery store and much to my surprise, when I opened the back door, that want cleaned either. They did a really bad job vacuuming my wife's grand Cherokee that she paid extra to have detailed. Total waste of money. I shouldn't even be bothered to have to complain about such a basic, objective service. Simply unacceptable. They also gave me a hard time when I tried to redeem a gift card that I purchased there a few years back. Not a great place. They were great back in the day, but not so much anymore. Damita at the front desk is the reason I drove to this location from the royal oak one which is a mile from my home. Her customer service is fantastic! My neighbors dog threw up in my car and I called royal oak to schedule the cleaning. They made me pay for the service up front and said I don't need an appointment just show up. This place is not responsible for tearing up you car! My 17 year old daughter paid almost $200 to get her "new" car detailed by this establishment about 2 weeks ago and they did a great job. However, when she went back to get it washed (fee service) they tore her front bumper apart and NEVER acknowledged it. She noticed it when she found that an item was MISSING FROM HER CAR and went inside to notify management. They told her that they could tear the piece off for her and that was it. When I called they told me that they were not responsible for the damage b/c the bumper was already cracked. Moreover, they said that things like that happen all of the time and they would go out of business if they repaired every car that had damage after going through their car wash. Really?!!
