I called to get estimate on fixing my 2 sagging gates that won't latch properly. I sent them pictures as requested. They sent me an email estimate $150 with caveat it could cost more depending time/materials. I sent email reply asking to speak with a manager on specifics. Days later, they sent me the same estimate/invoice asking to go forward. They COMPLETELY ignored my phone request. Superior has a zombie office where their internal process is all that matters. Their repair estimate is just a site visit minimum $150 fee with open ended charging on back end. This is not a viable repair estimate. Superior presents as another greed driven company with ZERO customer focus.

I want to be clear: our sales representative, Harold Dumas, was the only positive part of this experience in the beginning. He was friendly, professional, and communicative up until the project was ready to begin. After that point, communication completely fell apart. My husband would receive early morning calls saying, "We're ready to start," with no prior scheduling confirmation and no reasonable timeframe given. We have neighbors with children and pets who require notice for safety reasons. Instead, crews were ready to show up before we had even been given the opportunity to inform anyone around us. It was inconsiderate and completely unprofessional. Not only that, but because the initial work was not done correctly, the crew had to come back out and redo sections of the fence. That meant coordinating schedules, notifying neighbors, securing pets, and rearranging our own work obligations all over again. This entire process had to happen twice because the job wasn't done properly the first time. When issues arose and we were trying to get things scheduled and confirm days, my husband called and texted Harold and received no response. When I called the office, I was told I needed to speak with Harold -- the same person who was not responding. We were sent in circles trying to get answers about a project we had already paid thousands of dollars for. As for the workmanship itself: I will be posting photos. Corners were literally cut. Nails were sticking out of the fence. Some boards were missed entirely and never nailed down. This is basic installation work and there is absolutely no excuse for that level of carelessness. The "cleanup" was just as alarming. Trash was left on both our property and our neighbor's property. A stack of nails was left sitting on top of our A/C unit where they could have fallen in and caused damage. Nails that were ground off because they were protruding were left scattered on the ground. Children play in these yards. Dogs run freely. The fact that we even have to worry about someone getting injured because of leftover debris is outrageous. At this point, the biggest issue is trust. After everything we've experienced, I am already questioning the integrity of the work behind what we can't see. When visible details are this sloppy, it is hard to feel confident in the structural quality of the rest. I regret convincing my husband to use this company. We expected professionalism, quality, and accountability. Instead, we got poor communication, substandard workmanship, and a drawn-out process that never should have happened.

I had Armstrong Fence in Jacksonville construct a wooden stockade fence at my home in Jacksonville…read more4 years ago. I'm attaching some pictures that show that the bottom of the pickets are rotting and disintegrating. Since the lumber warranty is for 15 years, I had the lumber manufacturer's representative (Great Southern Wood Preserving) send an agent to inspect. We removed one of the yellow tags that are attached to the pickets, clearly showing that the lumber is marked "Fencing - No contact with Ground". The installers constructed 7 sections of fence where the pickets were actually buried up to 2 inches deep, voiding the lumber warranty. So now I have a fence that should have lasted 15 years that needs significant repair after only 4 years, due to improper installation. That's about 60- 70 feet of fence. I had the original salesperson come out and inspect, and his only response was to offer to sell me lumber to repair the fence, not to take any responsibility for their clear disregard of proper installation requirements. Although their website says "Armstrong Fence is committed to serving all customers from homeowners, government agencies, corporations and more with the utmost respect and integrity", this is certainly not the case. I have twice emailed the owner of the company requesting that they correct their faulty work, with no response at all.

Richard did a great job installing our black aluminum sliding gate and fence in 2022. Recently a vehicle didn't make it through our sliding gate before it closed and the gate sustained damage. It took a while but we finally received a quote ($495.00). Richard was on site to fix our gate but the fence was left exactly how he found it. With the exception of moving the bracket partially off the post. I gave payment to Richard before examining the repair. We paid for a service that was not rendered. I have emailed and called Michael a few times requesting a refund or that they make good on the repair. I have not heard back from him or anyone at the company.
