Jaxsons Night Market is another draw to the downtown area of Jacksonville. This event goes down the third Thursday every month, and while the location has moved a couple times during their first few months of events, I think Hemming Park is a great place for them to be. Ran into a few Yelpers and a few of my favorite vendors when we stopped by to check it out. Participation may vary from month to month, but we sipped some cold brew from Vagabond Coffee Co, we munched on macarons from Aster's French Macarons. We perused Food Truck Lane on Laura and scouted some veggies from Black Hog Farm. Local favorite Intuition was on tap with their beers, but I wish they could have had something else to offer other than their standard three (Jon Boat, I-10, & People's Pale Ale). It's not my favorite thing to do, but driving downtown really isn't as bad as I used to make it out to be.

I have been a big fan of Jaxsons Night Market ever since I stepped on the grass lot on the corner of Laura & Adams. The ladies and gentleman who put this together deserve an around of applause. From the jump, I believed the night market was a success and since then it has just grown into its own little monster. Now there are more vendors, more food trucks and music, which equals a great evening to chat with fellow jaxsons. With all that being said, I am glad they moved to Hemming Plaza. It is definitely what the night market and Jacksonville needed. It was getting a little tight in the corner, but the plaza opens the market up to new opportunities.

It's much better at Hemming Plaza. This is a bigger spot so they can bring in more of everything. They have farmer market vendors like Twin Bridges and Black hog farms. They also had a cluster of clothing trucks from Sally Ann Handmade fashions to belle of the boulevard and even a couple more that I have forgotten their name. I did get to talk to Sally and she's says they are coming out with some more male gender oriented stuff. They also had a bunch more food trucks and you know that make me a happy fat guy. The weather was great again not a cloud in the sky. Nice and cool with a little breeze. Oh yea Aster was there with her soon to be world famous macarons. I had to eat one just cause. I know her and things always taste better when you know who made them. So another great night for Mike and Jaxson Night Market.

This is the first one we've been to but it's obvious how much Hemming Plaza and downtown in general is generating local culture.

It looks like it would be full of all kinds of vegetables, but you don't go inside the building. The vendors are outside. It was only 4 vendors. but I loved it. A young lady that sells body products and one is Yoni so if you would like to get your Yoni cleanse, go see her. I love me some mushrooms. all kinds of mushrooms. The mushroom man was there; he grows them himself. Then the vegetables from the actual farm, they were picked yesterday. They have greens, so mustard, collards, kale and turnups and these are young turnups, they are all white. The greens were only $3.00 per bunch. Make sure you look at every leaf front and back ( if you know, you know) They harvest their own honey, they have a bee farm in the back! You can tour the farm and the bee farm; you can also volunteer to help harvest the produce. I really like that. And then those crackers.......Lort have mercy! These ain't for the children kind of crackers, not even for the teenagers! These are for the grown folk! They are like chez-it with a lot of flavor. Man, everyone I tasted was chef's kiss! Man, this will be next level on your Charcuterie Board! The Jalapeno one, it has a kick, after you have eaten about 4 of them, so if your heat sensitive beware They had other desert items on the table, I didn't even want to taste them, they would have had all my coin! They aren't there every week. I think she said every other week. zoom in on the card, and email or check out the website I see myself coming here on a regular basis for sure! I went by their yesterday 1/2/26 it looked like it's no longer in business? I went out of my way to go check it out. The front gate was open, but it didn't look like it was even operational. Should I decide to go back, I will call first. Food None Ambiance no life!

It services a great community and is a safe haven for many adults looking to make a positive impact. I love seeing our progress after a volunteer day, it brings me joy knowing that Eartha's legacy lives through us all who have spent time on this farm. I highly encourage a visit here, go alone, go with family, go during the market. Choose an activity and let the staff teach you the rest. Great learning experience each time I visit.

Not a lot of produce during the winter months. Look forward to a bigger selection once it gets warmer.
