RAM is just a vibe. We make this a weekly stop and bring our dogs. There is something for everyone here. The outside lanes are devoted to local food vendors and food trucks respectively. Tons of great bakeries, produce and coffee selections. Inside, art, jewelry, and on stage, local talent weekly. Some of my favorite food vendors are 1748 Bakehouse and Mixed Fillings. The art vendors differ week to week and we've made a few purchases. Most importantly, this is THE highlight of the week for my dogs. They get to mingle with other dogs and people and they smile the entire time we're there. This is THE event to start your weekend in the Jacksonville area. After a few samples I decided to purchase a few things. I have been trying to find a Yellow Watermelon for sometime and I finally got one and it did not disappoint. I also grabbed some colored bell peppers some super sweet juicy peaches and a few plum. I didnt think it would be what it was but I was pleased with the market and all the friendly vendors. The mushroom man was there; he grows them himself. Then the vegetables from the actual farm, they were picked yesterday. They have greens, so mustard, collards, kale and turnups and these are young turnups, they are all white. The greens were only $3.00 per bunch. Make sure you look at every leaf front and back ( if you know, you know) They harvest their own honey, they have a bee farm in the back! You can tour the farm and the bee farm; you can also volunteer to help harvest the produce. I really like that. And then those crackers.......Lort have mercy! These ain't for the children kind of crackers, not even for the teenagers! These are for the grown folk! They are like chez-it with a lot of flavor. Man, everyone I tasted was chef's kiss! Man, this will be next level on your Charcuterie Board! The Jalapeno one, it has a kick, after you have eaten about 4 of them, so if your heat sensitive beware They had other desert items on the table, I didn't even want to taste them, they would have had all my coin! There were a lot of folks walking up and down -- it's up a hill and down a hill checking out all the booths. They have food, produce, art, plants, jewelry, clothing, honey, spices, flowers, micro greens, oyster mushrooms, mosquito repellant, candles, etc etc. So there's a lot to look at. As we were visiting and staying in a hotel, we didn't buy any of the produce (from local farms), but we did get some locally produced honey. It was fun to browse and talk to the people. Here today, it seemed quite a few commercial/business vendors, there was one produce (which we were looking for tomatoes, they had none), a Greek vendor (we got delicious spinach pie and Greek gyro), cheese sticks, bread for sale, several plants, cheese vendors, etc with a musician on the guitar. I'd say the vendor market was 60%-70% full but not alot of customers but it was close to noon so maybe they already shopped?
