‼AVOID AT ALL COST‼…read more I had the worst experience with Chi, a so-called hair braider and loctician, and I strongly advise everyone to avoid her at all costs. I initially gave her a $100 deposit, which she told me would count toward the service, only to later claim it wouldn't. I needed my extensions reinstalled, and she quoted me an outrageous $1,400. Since I didn't have time to find another stylist last minute, I agreed, assuming the deposit would be deducted. She then changed the terms, saying it wasn't counted anymore. So the price went up to $1500‼ She was unprofessional from the start--arriving late, constantly leaving in the middle of removing my extensions to chat with colleagues about her personal issues, and taking four hours (with my help!) to remove them. She then washed my hair with cheap, stinky shampoo, and when I pointed it out, she had to borrow a better one from a colleague. I even had to wash my own hair while she was chatting with someone else's clients. The worst part? She refused to complete my service because I didn't want her to post pictures of me online. I am a private person and don't even use Instagram, yet she insisted it was her "rule" (which she never told me in advance). When I told her I don't want to be posted anywhere, she simply refused to finish my hair. At that point, I had already paid her $830 (she tried to demand full payment upfront, which I refused). I asked for a partial refund since she only removed my extensions--a service that costs around $200, as confirmed by another stylist who later fully reinstalled my hair for just $400. Chi refused, started screaming, crying, lying, and behaving like a child. It was absolutely unprofessional. I had to call the police, waited until midnight, and they advised me to take her to small claims court, which I absolutely will. She scammed me--$830 for nothing but hair removal. On top of that, she insulted me multiple times and continued sending unpleasant messages after I left. This was, without a doubt, the worst hair experience of my life. Do NOT trust this woman. I highly recommend finding a professional, ethical stylist instead.

Included in my visit was a shampoo/ conditioner wash and hair treatment. She is super generous with the product she uses and it's all high quality stuff. After washing my hair she cut and styled it. She also offered to touch up my peek-a-boo strand but I didn't have time. The experience was more than just a haircut. It was more like a hair and scalp health consult. We discussed reasons for why I might be experiencing hair loss and she gave me recommendations on what I can do preserve the hair I have, increase growth and how to create more volume now while I wait for my hair to grow. I can't stress how kind and patient Yana was at explaining everything and answering any questions I had. I will definitely be returning.
