The inpatient feels a little prison-ey when you're restricted to unit. This is weird because at other facilities I've been in, nobody leaves until discharged. But when everyone else gets to go outside and down for meals, to the gym, and to the library, and you can't, it feels punitive. I was involuntary because of a 3-day letter, yet I was well behaved. This being said, the therapists inpatient are more helpful than other places I've been. You really get an instructive atmosphere, and participation is optional but highly encouraged. I like that everyone is assigned one of the therapists for their stay, too. You get someone checking in on you daily. The outpatient stuff though, is stellar. Michelle and Brian (PHP therapists) are a credit to the social work profession. I feel seen and heard by them, and they do so much more than read some papers at you. They engage patients, and teach this stuff in a way that's accessible and understandable for all. Plus, it's easy to see when someone is genuine and that they love their job. These 2 people have made all the negative things so worth it. Michelle and Brian (Allie is great too, but I didn't get to know her very well) are life savers. Oh, also, this whole place is super queer friendly. I rarely had to give my preferred name (only with a new to me therapist like 3 times in 2 inpatient and 3 outpatient) and they honor preferred pronouns too! Additionally, if you're within 25 miles of the facility, they will provide transportation for outpatient programs. And they feed you for lunch in the PHP. There's also a crap ton of fidget toys in the group rooms, and you can feel free to bring your own, and color and stuff in group. Like, they get that these things help neuro spicy people to actually pay attention!

After consulting the website and finding a few therapists that had the skills I was looking for, I called in to get set up as a new patient. In the past week I have called 5 times and left two messages. I have heard nothing back and every time I call, I get sent to voicemail. It seems impossible to get in touch with the office staff, and they don't seem interested in getting back to you at all. I did a little searching after this experience to see if maybe this was an off week and color me not surprised that this is a frequent complaint people have, even for existing patients (and for some, the lack of communication means their meds don't get refilled. Hard pass). Since setting up new patients and setting up appointments is the bare basics of what they do, it doesn't make me feel confident in them delivering on their other services if they can't manage at least that. Of course, some of the providers may be excellent, but it's hard to know if the gatekeepers of the phone don't let you get that far. Frankly, there are enough barriers when it comes to getting mental health care, a mental health practice should at the bare minimum not be creating more. There are plenty of other practices in the CLE area that don't make getting the help you need a wrestling match just to talk to someone. I went with one of them and you probably should to. A good provider does you no good if you can't get scheduled to see them.

As i have previously mentioned, when I last spoke to Sebrina (the only person who makes up this place's billing dept) she told me after i had paid, i was all "squared away." I just got ANOTHER BILL FOR $240, dating back to last may, june, and two days in november, the 2 days she told me when we spoke last, the therapist didn't bill me for, which i then paid. The invoices i had received in the mail previously had a huge list of dates from these same months this bill is now saying i owe for. I am livid. And, if they do not drop this BS, since this is all their incompetence, I'm getting a family friend who's a lawyer to go after them. Do not use this place. It's a scam, and they literally are milking people for money. I have never seen anything so unprofessional before, in my life. Ever.
