First of all the female that answers the phone is RUDE and appears to be upset that she chose the cleaners to be her job. Secondly it's been over a week and my daughter is still waiting for a call from the manager or owner named John who apparently doesn't want to speak to us because he messed up my son's boxing shorts. My daughter asked them to only clean the waist but somehow they end up with stains on the patches. My son is a professional boxer and these shorts were expensive. Please don't use this unprofessional cleaners. Save yourself the hassle. read more

Recently tried out Jay Dee cleaners for the first time and I'm so happy I did! I love being able to support this family and locally owned establishment, that's been a staple in the neighborhood for years! The owners son is super friendly and even remembered my name the second time I came in. I got my duvet and a winter coat cleaned here, both came out great and for a fair price. They also fixed a couch cushion zipper for me. I believe they had to send it out, but it came back within a couple of days and looked perfect! read more

Since moving to Ohio two years ago, I've tried half a dozen or more cleaners, and haven't been happy with any of them...until Jay Dee Cleaners. I don't even remember how I found them because they're in Cuyahoga County and I'm in Lake, but I'm glad I did. Their service is impeccable, the friendliness of the staff never fails to impress (one of the benefits of being a family owned/operated business I guess), their pricing is fair, and without exception, my cleaning was always ready on time . This is one of the worst cleaners I have ever taken my clothes too. I am visiting Cleveland on business and needed to have two buttons on my nice button up shirt replaced. I looked on Yelp and saw that this cleaners has very high ratings. I also saw that they were offering a $5 off coupon for new customers. On Jay Dee's website they have their pricing, and I noticed that to fix a button is $3. I decided to give them a try, the first issue I noticed was that the pricing on their website is incorrect. It is actually $6 to repair a button. It is a bit frustrating when business do not update their websites, but I understand that it is not the biggest priority these days and $6 is reasonable. I pointed out the buttons to the clerk and she marked them. When I got my shirt back, I noticed that Jay Dee's only fixed one button instead of the two that I had asked them to do. This is ridiculous, they charged me for two and also the buttons were both clearly marked. I returned the following Monday and asked them to fix their mistake. I was told no problem. When I came back to pick up my shirt, they had replaced the button but with one that was way too small. These people are either super lazy or just do not pay attention. I also saw on the wall of the cleaners a sign that stated "Hate broken buttons? Our guarantee, if we ever miss a button you get $5." I asked the clerk if she would please give me the $5 since they missed the button and also they used the wrong size button this time? The clerk then said "oh, I don't know anything about that and no one here has the authority to issue that." I told her that the sign on their wall clearly says its their guarantee. The clerk did not care! This is a very underhanded and shady business and I would not recommend doing business here! I will now have to take my shirt to my cleaners back home who always does a great job and pay someone else to do the right job. I am just thankful that I only wasted $14.00 at this place! read more

A week and a half ago I brought in my worn and dirty Uggs to be cleaned. I was told they have to be sent out to another company to clean. I was fine with that. I only paid around $40 including tax for the cleaning. Anyone who owns Uggs knows that is well worth it. I picked them up today and was so impressed by how great they look. I am very happy with the work that was done and I appreciated the kind customer service I received from the young man at the counter. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

Great service and patient. I came in right at closing to pick up my daughter's prom dress. I had gotten caught in traffic. They waited patiently as I inspected the gown as Orom was 2 days away. They'd done a fantastic job and not one sequin fell off which isquite a task since they get caught on EVERYTHING. The staff was quite helpful in instructing us how to keep this from happening before prom as well. GREAT PLACE!! read more

I have been getting my son's NJROTC uniform cleaned here all year. Usually he drops it off after school. Today I dropped it off this morning. Some very RUDE older woman without any class has allowed her poor attitude to prevent me from coming here again. My son had been receiving a discount that I asked about and not only was she adamant that the discount didn't exist, she was plain rude! My son has been dropping off his uniform approx every 3 weeks for the year and the discount was given! But it wasn't the fact the maybe someone that worked in the afternoon gave him the discount in error it was the point that this lady was rude. In this day of social media it is a VERY BAD ideal to be rude to PAYING customers. I politely left the store with my child's uniform and went to TOPPS cleaners on Shore Center Dr. not only were they friendly it was $7.00 CHEAPER for the same items to be cleaned! THANK YOU rude old lady! When it comes to my hard earned money I will NEVER spend it in any establishment that allows employees to treat paying customers with flat out disrespect. read more
