Though Dr. Tobin is a fine doctor I hold him in high regards and my family has been seeing him a…read morelong time, the actions of his staff and or PA at a recent attempt to see him, were unbelievably lacking in thought, logic and regards to my physical and mental well being. I made an appointment to see his PA, since Dr. Tobin had no openings, while I was actually in the office on November 15th with a family member for her appointment. I informed them why I wanted to see the doctor and that I had had a negative covid test one week prior. They sent up an appointment for the following week on November 24th, and told me to bring the results of my negative covid test. The office called me two days before my appointment, confirmed my appointment and reminded me to bring my negative covid test results. All good and logical. Now mind you, when I set up the appointment, the staff knew of the date of my negative test and the date of my appointment and everything was fine. When I came to the office for my appointment, I was informed that the PA would no longer see me, due to a two week time frame between my negative test and my appointment. When I questioned the staff member why they are now saying this when they knew exactly my testing timeframe, they didn't give a good response except that covid was still an issue and that I could set up a virtual meeting at a later time in the day, but the PA would not see me in person, even though I was informed the PA was with another patient at that very moment. I have had both covid vaccines and they were aware of this. Now all this was happening as two other patients were entering and going to their appointments. I took a day off and scheduled this appointment to see the PA, and they didn't really seem to care. Are they going to pay me for my time as you have to do if you don't show up for an appointment? Does it matter to them that I made a commitment to see and of course pay the PA for their time? Do they really care about my physical and mental well being? Their actions today say no! Very disappointing.

After a lot of years as a patient with multiple issues, I have come to absolutely love DO's from MSU, even though am a U of M grad with U of M doctors in my family. DO's for general medical and family care are BETTER! They are trained extremely well, think things out and trained to look at your body as a whole being and aren't just saying, "yeah, ok, let's write you a script, and never find the root cause. Primecare of Novi knows how to care for people and children. I also like the fact that there are a few women in this practice. Every one of these doctors is super nice as well.
