I wouldn't recommend this company to pump a bicycle tire! Liars, thieves, and rude a well!!…read more Called the Pulaski, TN location to come pump our septic; we purchased our home 4 years ago and it needed to be addressed. Elgin comes out, partially uncovers the tank, discovers that at least one of the lids was in need of repair, and informed my wife and son that we needed to call someone to come out and fix that because *they didn't do that*, and when we had the lids replaced they would come back out and finish things up. Note that they advertise themselves as "repairing septic systems", but apparently this doesn't include septic lids. They did a half-assed job of partially pumping the tank through the broken lid, left debris from inside the tank laying in the yard, took their check for $350, and left. We called a competitor to come out and check the lids. They completely uncovered the top of the tank (which Elgin failed to do while servicing the tank) to discover that 2 of the 3 lids needed replacing, and immediately placed the order to have them cast, as well as pricing a riser to be installed so that we would not have to dig to service the tank in the future. When my wife called Elgin back to go ahead and come and finish the pumping and cleaning - since their competitor had been gracious enough to completely uncover the tank for them - she was informed that in order for them to return to finish the work they had started, it would cost more money for them to come back out. When she reminded them that the job was not completed the first time, she was told that they had done all they could do so she was going to have to just get the lids replaced and "let it go and see what happens." When my son called back to discuss the issue, he was effectively told the same thing. When he asked for the corporate number to lodge a complaint, he was told that he was "talking to the mother@@@@ing CEO and he'd already told him what was going to happen." I have rarely encountered such blatant unprofessionalism. I would not recommend ANYONE use this company's services, especially the Pulaski office. Fortunately, we were able to find a professional company to not only repair the tank but one that would clean and inspect it once the repair work was complete. I am SORELY disappointed,

We would highly recommend Powerhouse Plumbing. I've never felt like their prices are too high for what we got either.

Disappointed with what I found after Powerhouse Plumbing Pros left…read more The plumbers were in the crawlspace installing plumbing for an addition. The installation of the new plumbing required the removal of some of the existing plumbing. Rather than placing a bucket or catch pan beneath the sections being cut out, they simply allowed the water to drain onto the plastic membrane in my encapsulated crawlspace. When I went into the crawlspace to inspect the work after they had left, I was greeted by puddles of standing water. There was clearly no attempt to catch the water as the pipes were cut, nor any effort to vacuum it up afterward with a shop vac, as I ultimately had to do myself. Another disappointment was finding that the cut-out sections of plumbing had simply been discarded in the crawlspace rather than removed from the work area. It gave the impression that they assumed most homeowners would never enter the crawlspace to see the mess left behind. Although I'm not a plumber, I'm at a loss as to why two additional 90-degree turns were added to the cold-water PEX line when the adjacent hot-water line was installed without them. While it's only two extra elbows, they appear unnecessary. In my opinion, two additional crimped PEX connections create two additional potential leak points. Details matter. A little more attention to workmanship and cleanup would have gone a long way.
