These are things that should be highlighted during the walk through process. When I moved in, I could clearly tell I had an irrigation system because they walked me over to the irrigation system unit inside the garage. However, no one told me that there were no zones in the main part of the back yard. Really? Why plant grass back there? Someone should have highlighted that. All of the other new construction units beside me do not have zones in the backyard as well (just the front). In addition to this and possibly the worst part/ surprise was that no one informed me to check the settings on the irrigation system unit. Since it was new construction and they had just laid sod, they had those sprinklers set to go off for 2 hours every morning prior to my waking. I had NO idea at all. I found out after I had personally used 44,000 gallons of water and owed $800.00 for the month. CRAZY! When I called ACH and JWB (the contracting company), no one was able to assist to either matter and I was told I had to take care of it on my own. Horrible customer service. When I asked to speak to someone higher, I was told he was too busy and that I could not speak with him by a lady named Jessica. Come to find out, American Classic Homes is notorious for doing this with new construction. I really hope if you are buying from ACH that this will help you. I wish I had this advice.

Our final walkthrough with Joey and our super Geoff uncovered only one 'blue tape' issue (in contrast to our previous home that had a couple dozen). We completely agree with the below poster in saying that ACH construction is significantly better quality when compared to other builders in the area. The fastest email response I received from John Anderson was he trying to collect a disclaimer from me, asking me to voluntarily give up the HVAC warranty. For the latest request, the latest update I got from John Anderson was from 5 weeks ago. Today I tried to email him again but received an automated message saying he's no longer in the company. Then Anna Larsen became the representative, and the nightmare continues. Not only was the transition messy, but also Anna was unable to understand the situation in a rational way. Our conversation was like: Me: Puget Heating charged me something that should be covered by warranty. Anna: John said you need to pay for it. Me: But that's something you promised to do in an earlier work order and the contractor just didn't do it for no reason. Here's the proof. Anna: But John said you need to pay for it. No more argument. Case closed. Go pay for it. We're not going to cover.

Wise Choice uses a platform for selecting materials and so forth that was great in theory, rather questionable in practice, and our wires got crossed more than a few times. The time issue was simply that the projects took a bit longer than we'd planned. The time problem though was at least partly our fault (changing our minds about design, etc), and that was compounded by suppliers actually sending the wrong product on occasion, so certainly not all a Wise Choice issue. Other than that, they were great to work with, very pleasant people all around, very conscientious (cleaning up work spaces thoroughly every day), and the entire project came in under budget! We will definitely reach out to them again for our next remodel.

We first learned about Wise Choice through Yelp, and although we were initially nervous about choosing a contractor for such a large job (they gave us the best estimate, by far!) without a personal recommendation, we couldn't be happier with our decision. They were great to work with throughout the entire process, from architectural and engineering plans, permitting, and the actual construction. The project manager, Sergiy, and foreman, Bogdan, were very honest, helpful, and responsive every step of the way. The project was completed pretty much on budget (with only a couple of unforeseen issues outside of their control) and on time. We bought our home in June and it needed some serious TLC so we asked Remont to quote the job along with several other contractors. David and Vicktor arrived on time, they measured, took detailed notes and were incredibly knowledgeable, plus they were able to do the work in our crazy timeline. They had their quote back to me that evening, which is what they'd promised. After receiving the other quotes and experiencing the professionalism of Remont Construction we decided to go with them. They painted the entire interior of our home and did a great job. At one point the painters painted one of the bathroom ceilings the same color as the bathroom (yikes), after telling them I didn't want any ceilings painted. I called Vicktor and he made sure it was fix with no fuss or strings attached, and it looks great. Remont refinished our hardwood floors and extended the hardwood into the dining room after removing the carpet. They also removed the carpet and old tile in our bathroom, laying beautiful new tile perfectly. We also switched out all the old bi-fold doors for sliding ones, Vicktor's team painted the doors the same color as our trim and did an amazing job overall. If you're lucky enough to get Remont Construction, schedule them immediately. These guys do GREAT WORK, they're honest, respectful and on time. Call Remont Construction, trust me you wont regret it.
