You get a much better selection than at Walmart, Target, or Walgreens, and it lets you get things that are much more unique and feel more personal. PRICE: $$ You won't go breaking the piggy bank shipping here. If you spend a hundred dollars, you'll need a basket. STAFF: Absolutely, the nicest and warmest people. Everyone was helpful and knowledgeable and went to great lengths with extra help. EXPERIENCE: We were looking for some particular gifts and had to search other stores which they did from the register. We needed to call about 4 or 5 stores to find what we needed and they assisted with all that. We did have to come back to the store because one of our gifts weren't in the box, but we literally walked in and out with the replacement in 2 minutes. Not a problem at all. I came into this store during a snowstorm to look through ornaments and have them held until my husband was off work. We usually go together to Hallmark and I wanted to give him a chance to look at the items as well. I had three things held. At the time the lady was very nice and said they could hold them for a day. My husband was excited to see what I found and decided to stop on the way home from work. The ladies behind the desk, in the meantime, had sold one of the ornaments being held for me. My husband ended up buying one of the items left, but frankly If I was there I would've told him not to bother. He spent $150 bucks in your store and you guys didn't deserve a penny. Is this the way we do business now?? I've shopped hallmark stores for years and I've never had a problem with any store holding items before this. I'm wondering if this is one of the reasons why there's hardly any hallmark stores left. Why would one endure crappy service when they could just buy online and guarantee their items. I don't blame Hallmark themselves, I blame the store and it's subpar service. Shame on you. I definitely won't make the mistake of spending anymore money at this Hallmark store ever again. *** Later this evening I found out this was an independently owned store. The manager or possibly the owner is an extremely rude man. I purchased over $140 in cards. I was shopping for a neighbor who is housebound. I asked for a bag for each of my orders which were rang up separately. He said he would only wrap one of the orders in tissue (no bag for them) and put them in the same bag. I told him that was unacceptable because as soon as I take the ones wrapped in tissue out, they are going to fall out of the tissue and on to the ground when I drop them off. Some of the cards cost $9.99! I will NEVER go to that store again and I have repeated the story of my experience to many people. He had to be THAT rude over a 5 cent bag?? Really? If he's that greedy, he'll have to get his money from someone else. I'm done with that store. I may be done with Hallmark too. You can't buy a card for a kid unless it's Disney related. read more

I really like this location of Jayne's Hallmark. Rarely can I not find a card from their selection of Hallmark greeting cards, but I really like the local flavor of various jewelry, scarves, slippers, and crafts that they sell. They also sell Abdullah chocolates, made here in Burnsville. They accept manufacturer coupons, but they also send out coupons of their own. I consider myself a regular here when I'm in the area. Be sure to arrive right at 9:30, though, when it's cold because I made the mistake of arriving ten minutes early recently and I was told to come back later. read more

I have shopped here for years and the manager/owner is the rudest customer service representative I have ever encountered. Everything he says comes out aggressively. My expierience in this Hallmark is consistent, always disappointing. I actually hate going into this store. I was desperate - needed to find a snow babies ornament. The associate that helped me is the one that I believe to be rude, condiscending, snippy and overall a "stuck up" attitude. I am a store manager for luxury retailers, over 20 years, I know an outstanding employee and a snobby, uapproachable employee. They have never disappointed me in the latter! To be fair, they ALL act like they are doing you a favor to HELP you! I've been a loyal hallmark customer for 40 years, this is the only Hallmark I've found this level of service and candor. Usually I don't do surveys, but I thought this is my opportunity to voice my extreme dislike of this store! I stopped at Jayne's hallmark to return a ornament I had bought at another Hallmark store. I stood in line and when I approached the counter, I wasn't greeted by a smile a hello or anything. Just a rude male with a dumb look on his face who asked, "Do you have a question ?" I explained why I was there. He told me I wasn't able to return the ornament because I didn't have a receipt. I also couldn't use my debit card to prove I bought it at a hallmark for a refund. I stated that I was going to look around for something to possibly exchange it with. I placed the ornament back in my purse and looked around the store for 30 minutes. After about 15 minutes I noticed that he was watching me like I was going to steal something. Over the years, I've spent thousands of dollars on my family members at Hallmark, I will never return to this one again! Jayne, you need to find better employees/managers to represent your store, he is a disgrace! What an embarrassment!! read more
