I can only speak from my own personal experience working with Jay recently and it was EXCELLENT. My first time working with him. He was transparent and broke down how this business and these transactions work and that was supremely helpful for me. It was confusing to have so many companies contacting me saying "we have a truck in your area" which sounded like bs. He was fast, efficient, and I felt like he gave a f. I felt heard, respected, and taken care of throughout the entire process. My car was picked up and dropped off way faster than expected and what I was charged was cheaper than a lot of quotes (but not the cheapest because those quotes don't make sense with current gas prices and the mileage I needed to cover). Personally, if I had a car to ship again in the future, I would go directly to Jay and save myself a hassle and guessing game. Jay is a broker so he looks for drivers for you for $100. Took awhile to find a truck going my way but eventually Jay found one. Price also went from $850 - 1000. I guess transporters are hard to get going from KS to CA. Jay works very hard and explains the process very well. He seems like one of the honest guys. My vehicle picked up on planned date but arrived a couple days later than planned. Arrived in same condition as it was when picked up. Cars Inc driver doesn't speak much, broken English from what I could understand. Overall happy with my transport. read more

Jay was the only Broker I found who was honest with me, and said he couldn't promise shipping dates nor a final shipping price. I respected this after dealing with other brokers who were just looking out for themselves. He explained the whole shipping process including things to watch out for with other brokers. (Which I first hand witnessed.) His commission rate was reasonable and he fought to get the best pricing for my shipment. I had a car to be picked up from out in the middle of nowhere. He got the job done in a few days. Let him argue with the carriers over the right price, that's his job and he is good at it. Contacted on June 11th with pickup scheduled between the 28th and July 1st. My cars WERE NOT scheduled OR picked up as planned. I called to ensure all was well on the 28th and was ensured that I'd get a call 24 hours before pickup only to be let down on the 30th when there was no call. After contacting Jay I was informed per the contract he had up to 7 days after the stated dates to pickup my cars. Excuses and defense but no refund, however, he'd issue me a credit. LOL This was a major inconvenience resulting in me scrambling at the last minute to find an alternative to get my cars shipped before my departure on July 4th. I had a great experience with Jay's Auto transport. I had initially contracted with another carrier (directly with the truck guys) to ship my car from CA to IA. Unfortunately, that truck broke down and I had to look around. I had Jay's quote earlier and reached out to him. He was honest up front to state that he is a broker and that his prices are not inflated compared to other carriers. In fact his quote was the same as the one that I had with the direct truck guys with whom I had signed up for. He also told us that with the 650/ quote there is a chance that some of the truck drivers might pass. I asked him what would be the chances if I upped it to 700. He said that with $700 it has a far greater chance of getting picked up. So we decided for $700 and sure enough, we got contacted the same day by a driver and the car was picked up the next day. It reached the destination a day earlier than what the driver had said so I was obviously impressed. If Jay had given the same service for the original $650, I would have definitely rated 5 stars. With 20plus years in the business, I think he could have influenced the drivers to take our $650 quote :-) I will surely not hesitate to use his services again were I to need one in the future. He takes the "Honest" approach to make you feel good but he will talk over you the entire time and when you try to say anything he tells you you won't get your car shipped since you won't list. I had to arrange a Los Angeles to Florida car transfer. Jay made it simple and was incredibly transparent about how the process works and where the you can easily be screwed by the wrong person. After filling in my transport needs on a website, I got bombarded by calls. I called the one guy who didn't call me and who also happened to be the lowest price by a good margin. Spent 10 minutes explaining the process, was HONEST about the fact that he was a "broker", although had been doing this a long time, thus had very good relationships with the actual trucking companies. Called him on Friday, (Car in Houston), got my car in same condition on Monday evening (Baltimore). No other company was even going to pick the car up until Wed or Thurs. Fast service, cheapest rate, constant availability (answered every time), no hidden fees. The rate was the rate, never changed. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN. My husband is in the military and received new orders to move immediately after just returning from school. We are going from the West coast to the East Coast and only want to drive one vehicle. We thought saving money with this company would be the best bet, but we were dead wrong. He could not give us an exact pick up date and told my husband that if we left before they could pick it up to LEAVE IT AT A DEALERSHIP AND LET THE COMPANY PICK IT UP THERE. WHAT!?!? While on the phone trying to cancel, I could hear him yelling at my husband telling him he signed a contract and that the other company was just trying to get their commission. SO!? When it boils down to it I don't care who makes the money, I just need my car shipped. POINT BLANK. He just did not want to lose his business, which I'm sure happens to him daily. He yelled and yelled at my husband and made him feel like he was an idiot for trying to cancel and go with another company. My husband kept calm and did not yell back. (He's lucky he didn't speak with me but I'm sure he could hear me yelling in the background). After all the yelling and making my husband feel like an ant he FINALLY told us what we needed to do in order to cancel. Then told us to call him and let him know what day they pick up our vehicle because he's "sure that they won't be able to come when we need it". Um I'm pretty sure they will because they don't have any negative reviews and everyone we know has had a positive experience with them. So thanks.... First of all, I was not a customer of Jay's because of how he decided to act towards me. He quoted me a price which was good for 30 days. I made contact and tried to set everything up within that 30 days and he said to wait and the prices will drop and he couldn't set anything up. I finally called today and he tried to feed me a bunch of crap and changed his quote to $900 which is almost 50% higher than his original quote. In short, don't believe his quotes. Too often, people only leave reviews when they have a bad experience. My experience with Jay's Auto Transport was awesome with a few hiccups on the side of the trucking company Zen Auto. After reading a bunch of reviews about other brokers, I saw a comment from Jay on a yelp review letting everyone know that his company was not the same one some of the people were complaining about and not to get him confused with another Jay. I decided to look his company up and read some of those reviews. What drew me in was his willingness to explain the situation on the bad reviews which gave more perspective on what was really going on. When I contacted Jay, he was patient enough to explain everything to me about how things worked. I was concerned that the price would go up on delivery by the drivers, but he explained that it happens when the brokers are dishonest with the customers and try to set a low price with them, while bidding higher knowing that the drivers wouldn't accept offers that were too low. Zen Auto transported my car. They picked it up at 9 or 10pm on Friday night, which was fine. Be aware that I was told by their dispatch Michelle they would give me a call when they were 2 hours out. They called only 30 mins or less before they came. I'm glad I didn't venture off somewhere. They used the light on their phone to inspect it. I gave them money to have food that night as a tip. They told me my car would be there on Monday and it actually was which was really fast! However they didn't deliver it until the next day which caused some issues. My only complaint is that the drivers kept giving times they would be there and didn't show. I know things happen and we should try to be understanding, but when you tell them you can't be there at the new time they've given you for the 10th time, they are rude and customer service goes out of the window. Michelle at dispatch has an attitude from the beginning so I wouldn't suggest talking to her. She seems to wake up in the mornings pissed off. Jay was good about trying to resolve the issue and making sure my car wasn't hauled off somewhere else if my daughter couldn't make their new time for delivery. We made some arrangements she has the car and all is well. I would recommend Zen Auto giving a time window so that people can make other arrangements if they can't be there instead of sitting around thinking they are going to be there are one exact time. The lie of traffic and other stuff only goes so far! I will rate Zen as well. I would use them again, but I hope they get their stuff together... PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. I have never once used such an irresponsible company in my entire life. At first Jay will seem like he is reliable and has good connections but that is a sham! He told me that he would be the one to call me and let me know what company he would use to ship my car, and when the pick up date would be. The first person I hear from is the truck driver that he hired who barley spoke english! He said that he would be around to pick up my car at 1 pm. By 2:00 when he didn't show up, he called and said he would be delayed a bit longer. Then 5 o'clock rolls around and the driver said he MIGHT be coming the next day, MIGHT not. Because the driver couldn't speak english I decided to call Jay, who always said "call if you have any question." My goodness the attitude this man gave for trying to clarify the communication issue that was caused by the company he referred me to! He swore at me, called me names, threatened my car, told me "to sit at a bar and wait for my car to get picked up", then hung up stating that he "needed to go take his pills". Regardless of whatever issue there is, no BUSINESSMAN should ever speak to a customer the way that this man spoke to me. He is beyond unprofessional and should not be allowed to run a business. Furthermore, he assured me my car would reach me in 5-6 days, but it really took 8. He has no relation to the trucking company he uses so there is no guarantee of anything from him. If you want to use a service that has no idea what is happening to your car after he gets his cut, I recommend this company. But if I could do this again I would have rather paid a little bit more to use a company that is reliable and that I can trust with my car. read more
