Just got my front brakes done on my truck. I went in for a serpentine belt because I was headed out of town the next day. They said that the belt was not critical yet but the right front calipers were locked up. They could not get it done until the next morning. I dropped it off the next morning and they had it done by 11 am. It was a little more than I hoped for but it was what they had told me that it would be. They used top quality parts and it has a two year parts and labor, 24,000 miles nationwide warranty. read more

Honestly just a typical garage. I had failed an inspection for multiple issues at a different garage which left on the expired sticker. I fixed everything but the brakes so I took it to them and asked for the brakes to be changed and then to do an inspection. They call me to say it's going to be 700 dollars which blows me away since the parts are only 150. I say no thank you and to give me my truck back to which I have a failed inspection sticker on even though I asked for the inspection to be done after the brakes. I fix it myself and bring it back for reinspection where they tell me there's another issue. I had to remind them they can only look at what they originally failed me for. Just not a good place but I will give them a point for being polite. read more

I had rented from Jays automotive for a legit 5 mile move from orchard hills ranson Wv to Jefferson storage next door. The person before me put the wrong amount of gas & me running late didn't change it (also not understanding I can change it) but I go about my rental & at the end I legitimately again as stated above only used 5 miles on the truck and had it it for only 5 hours. I get a call Monday morning Monday from whatever the woman's name is that works there getting smart yelling that "she's guesses I used the self check out & I am missing too much gas" I asked her how much do I owe in gas (obviously confused) she said well "idk it says you only used 5 miles of gas" I said right.... so how would you charge me for the amount owed (btw I'm still Confused if I only used 5 miles... what exactly do I owe????) anyways, she (still yelling) says "I was the last person who put gas so Im telling you you're wrong. I kindly let this woman know if it's wrong and I only used 5 miles... then she was in fact wrong. She hung up on me immediately after. I called back (scared this emotionally distressed woman over 5 miles worth of gas was going to charge me more) I called back.... she still was yelling saying "I said it's my fault I'm not charging you..." and hangs up on me again. I proceed to call back and asked her Why she keeps hanging up on me... she does it again. I'd say, someone had a terrible weekend, made a mistake running out on a Friday (half assed her job) and is mad at me? I can't change miles but I can change your reviews. I never really do reviews, but it's been a few weeks since I visited Jays and I 'm still hurt. I took my car there because it was sputtering. First they said my coils but needed to put my on machine first thing in the morning. They called me the next day and said it was something else and it would cost me 1,700 and change. This is the week before thanksgiving and I had planned on taking my grandkids out of town. I said ok as long as I can take my kids out of town for thanksgiving. I paid the $$ and got my car. I drove to work and the same thing happened that I put it in the shop to get fixed. They said bring it back. Guess what? They said I need a new transmission and said they wouldn't let their wife drive the car out of town. So I'm out of 1,700 with my car sitting in my garage. I wish I understood the logic they gave me for this happening, but I don't. My feelings and pockets are hurt. As a woman, don't take your car to the shop alone. I-got taken for a lot of money. They did great with my vehicle. There was an issue that was not their fault that I easily could have believed was theirs. Absolute crooks. Sent my car in for steering problems (car shaking and difficulty steering) and an undercarriage noise. $1400 later, a new wheel and full suspension, and my car still shakes, I still have difficulty steering, and the undercarriage noise ending up being the plastic flap that covers my oil pan . So they found and fixed two mystery problems and took most of the money I had saved up. Never again will I do business with them. read more

I can't speak for the service or maintenance work but the Uhaul rental is BS. The fat thirty something, young man who received my rental was extremely rude and borderline combative. If you plan to return your Uhaul to this location prepare yourself to be treated with rudeness and like you're a bother. I wanted to punch the guy in the mouth. read more

We found Jay's online and were impressed with the website. We took our cars there for inspections and temperature issues. We took our car in the second time and were hit with an extra $400 cost after a brake job that was not completed correctly and sent me home with smoking tires. The shop refused to admit that they were at fault for not testing the car before sending it on the road and offered a minimal discount. We ended up finding a shop in Kearneysville, WV that was much more honest and caring about their customers. read more
