My boyfriend's mom took her daughter's car there to receive a simple inspection to only be told that the driver side brake light was out when it worked just fine beforehand. I have taken my car there on numerous occasions it is a 2018 every time I take it to Tony's they find something wrong with it I'm not a mechanic by any means but have several friends who are they want to charge 60 dollars for a part that cost 20 dollars and 244 to do the work when there is nothing wrong with my car they rejected an inspection because I would not pay them to do any work then charged me 14 for a rejected sticker I will not be going back there to be scammed this business has really went down hill the last few years read more

More than one occasion of Tony's outright lying to us about things. First time, they changed my oil but it was leaking. Charged me 90 for work and a part they should have put in the first go around. Was outright lied to about things we needed to do to pass inspection. Only to be told by everyone but Tony's that none of the hundreds of dollars of work was needed. So, feel safe knowing you will be lied to by an ignorant, uneducated and outright lying staff. I called this company to check into a "service engine soon" problem as well as a broken ac belt. Initially the conversation went well and I felt comfortable. I was given a time estimate of 2-3 days as well as the cost of 1,200. The end result was a 17 DAY ORDEAL during which we had to continually call for updates. Very disorganized and mechanics don't appear to know what they are doing. Owner is very disrespectful.The day we picked up the car we were handed a bill of over $500.00 more than the price initially given when no additional charges were ever discussed. Drove about 2 blocks and realized there was no ac (belt was never put on) and the engine started smoking due to an oil leak. Brought it back. Took another 1/2 day to fix. AC worked for less than a day. Turns out they put on the wrong AC belt. Still have a problem with oil leak. getting ready to contact Better Business Bureau. read more

Worst customer service we have ever dealt with. Had new tires put on which was fine. Days later, car starts shaking at 50mph and over. Called and asked about it and said we probably need new rims. We asked why that wasn't looked at when we got the new tires. She said the guy is new. Only explanation. Also when we said we may have to wait because rims can be expensive, esp since we just paid $400 + for new tires. Her response.. "not my problem" and then said my husband was being rude. Also, the cursing in this place is unreal. Never going back. ETA - took it to another auto shop. Rims were fine. Tony's put too many weights in the tire. No wonder it was unbalanced. I have used Tony's since 2015 and they still rate 5 stars in my book. I am always treated with respect and they treat my vehicle with care. The entire team from office to mechanics are knowledgeable, fair, and HONEST. I had an issue while caring for a friend recovering from surgery, they drove to my location to assess my car and got me a tow allowing me to focus on her recovery. About 15 minutes of my time then it's done, no bs it's all very legitimate and They're very informed about how everything works and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place they wanted to get their car fixed. I took my car to this shop on a Friday afternoon simply because it was close to my home. The staff was fairly friendly and the shop looked to be organized. I already knew the problem with my vehicle: the alternator failed causing my battery to die. I asked for this specific repair and was given a quote of an hour and a half labor, plus parts. Shop cost per hour: $65. Not to bad, right? Well, once I mentioned that I already had my own brand new parts things changed. Shop cost per hour jumped to: $83. I asked why the fee changed, and was promptly told, "Because we won't make any money off of you." Wow, really? Moving on... I determined that the cost of my parts and their increased shop fee was still less costly than their quote. So, despite the fee increase, and being that my car sat in their parking area with a dead battery, I decided to move forward with the repair. The following Monday morning, I get a call at home. I'm told that the car is now on the lift, and the mounting bolts are rusted which will make it difficult to remove the alternator. So, based on these new findings, I'm told that it will be an extra hour charge for the work. Already uncomfortable with the logic behind the initial fee increase, you can imagine my protest. Long story short, we settled on 1/2 hour additional labor cost for these "rusted bolts." One hour and thirteen minutes later, they call and tell me that the work is done and the car is ready. Hmm, but just over an hour ago, other than putting the car on the lift, the work hadn't even started and the old alternator was still rusted in the car! The original quote was for an hour and a half. Did it even take an extra half an hour to remove these pesky rusted bolts!?! Sigh. So, I head to the shop, pay the fees without a whimper of dissatisfaction. I get in my car and it starts right up, but notice the check engine light was still on. I go back inside and asked if they could clear the code/codes. I was told that it would be $60 to do so. With a smile, I declined and left knowing I will never return. Take what you will from my experience. Yes, I was displeased with the charges. Yet, on the other hand, the work was done right, and in a timely manner, as well. Whether you decide to get repairs done here or not, I hope this information is helpful to you. My dad has been bringing our cars here since we moved to WV in 2002. I don't really know what to say about a car shop, except they must do a great job because my car is still running. And they must offer great prices because my dad is cheap. I do know that they do things in a very timely manner and they take drop ins which is great for me because I drive from the city to get my car fixed here. read more
