**CAVEAT EMPTOR*** I was referred to this company by my locksmith. I needed to have a couple of items moved. He was very cordial, on time and did the work. I was so impressed, I had him targeted for other projects. I called him to install cabinets, fix my doorbell and to install shelves in my kitchen. He was late, but I wanted to have it done. He did half of the work. His workers had alcohol on their breath. I still paid him, with the promise that he would come back to finish. It took him a month before he came back. I contacted him to remove gravel from my backyard. When I called to confirm, he was going to put it off for the afternoon, I sent him a message canceling the work. He stated that he was on his way. He was late. As he proceeded to remove the gravel, I went outside to check if all was going well. I noticed he didn't remove the gravel from the planters. I informed him of it, and he stated that he would come back. I told him no, I wanted to have it done. He stated that he had concrete on his truck and it would weigh too much. I held my ground. He then proceeded to dump the gravel in my driveway. We had a confrontation. It was 3 men, and just me. I had to call the police, and I was injured in the process. Don't use this person. Especially if you're female. He, and his workers, have no respect for women. read more

Had a disaster on the side of my house! Literally, the rain was not our friend! We called abs they immediately called back! Second of the four we called for estimates. Their estimate was about half of the first company-and the first company just gave us a ballpark! These gentleman gave us a straight up flat fee! I would have spent more money going to the dump myself and lost time and the patience. These men are way above par! They set the bar high! Classy men! After 20 Years in Business at the same location... it was time to move out. Searching high and low for the Best option to remove our 2 story building 8- 12 workstations. With years worth of paper work, accumulated misc computers, tvs, desks, chairs, cubicle panels, you name it.... became somewhat of a nightmare ! Finally took to the internet in search of a local/ fairly priced furniture removal truck. No luck within our budget for the West LA Area. Especially for Junk/Office supply removal. I had 4 companies come and quote to remove vegetation from my hillside. Some of the vegetation was very overgrown and needed to be pulled out, more had already been removed and needed to be hauled. I was very specific that I wanted the vegetation pulled not cut, and that bushes that had been planted were to remain on the hillside. Jay's price was competitive and he was local, which prompted me to use him. He assured me he was "old school" and would use "a pick and shovel" to get the vegetation out. The first day he arrived with a worker who I observed taking a swig from a mini spirit bottle (the type that you get in a hotel minibar) as he worked. This was my first red flag. Jay and his worker stayed for a couple of hours only. They indicated that the wind was unpleasant to work in. I asked Jay whether, now that he was on site and observing the scope of the work practically, the quote remained the same. He sent his worker down the slope to look and I was met with assurances that it would not increase substantially. Jay asked me if I wanted him to cut back the lawn as well as the agreed work, I told him that I did not want that at this stage. I paid him just under a third of the agreed rate that day and he told me he would be back the next day at approximately 11am. The next I called Jay to find out what was happening when no one had arrived by 2pm. Three workers shortly showed up, and proceeded to cut the vegetation rather than pull it out as agreed. Along with the vegetation they cut all the plants that had been put on the slope. I only realized this after the fact as I didn't engage with them, and could smell pot being smoked in my yard when they were there. Before his workers left Jay called me to tell me that the vegetation that had been pulled out prior and just needed to be hauled was difficult to move and he asked for just short of double the amount he initially quoted. I told Jay that I could not agree to that, and would find another company to finish the job. Jay indicated that he wanted to complete the project and we agreed on an increased price. I paid his workers a further amount, $50 short of our initial agreement. Jay later called me to tell me that he did not work on Sunday's (which is fair enough), but that one of his workers had agreed to come the next day with a chainsaw and work on the "difficult" vegetation that needed to be hauled. No one actually showed up the next day. Jay and his crew came again one more time. During that time they cut my lawn, which I had not asked for, but they did not haul any of the vegetation that was agreed. Jay told me it was too difficult to move. The workers loaded up the truck with the vegetation they had cut instead of pulled. When I told Jay that I would not pay him any more money because the job was less than half complete and I had already paid him close to what was initially agreed Jay proceeded to dump over 20 bags of cut vegetation on my driveway that had previously been loaded on his truck, telling me he would not take them. I was shocked. I had to arrange alternative hauling, and the part of the job that was too hard for Jay and his crew was completed by me and my parents (who are in their late 60's). Perhaps Jay is good for simple hauling, I can't speak to that, but I would never recommend him for the type of work I engaged him for and which he says that he does on his business card. I would also strongly caution about his ability to provide accurate quotes. read more

He was very friendly, prompt and since his pricing was better than the other companies I got estimates from, I let him start the job immediately! My garage and yard was immaculate!!!
