Woke up with no running water yesterday; called a plumber. Plumber confirmed that our well pump…read moreswitch was sending power to the well pump, and told us to call a well drilling service. Called half a dozen and Lyon's was the only business who picked up their phone. They initially weren't positive if they'd be able to come out the same day, but called me back to confirm that they'd be able to, and showed up exactly when they estimated. The technician they sent was extremely knowledgeable and entertained my idiot homeowner questioning. He confirmed that the well pump was actually running and installed a pressure gauge, which showed extremely low pressure. Then he asked me if my garage had water running to it; it turns out it had several gallons of water pouring out a burst pipe. We shut the water off to the garage and he confirmed that the house was building water pressure again. After all the work to inspect the pump, install the new pressure gauge and confirm functionality Lyon's charged me less than the plumber who initially came out. Would definitely recommend.

Very disappointed in this company, especially the proprietor, Alan. I laid down THOUSANDS of…read moredollars for repairs and a new liner install. It became evident that there were flaws, and I first contacted Alan in May to notify him and ask him to come back to make the necessary corrections. My brand new liner was slipping loose, coming untucked and sliding into the pool, especially the deep end. Not just a little inch-long spot here and there; seriously long areas throughout the rim, and almost the entire width of the pool under the diving board, were coming undone. He had shoved what looks like broken Popsicle sticks in an attempt to get the liner to stay put in one corner, and this was basically the only area that was actually holding. Alan replied to my initial text by requesting photographs, which I sent the day he asked for them. I waited about 3 days and reached out to Alan again because I had not heard from him. When he finally did reply, he was very curt and indicated that I live too far away, it would take at least 5 hours with travel time, and he just couldn't do it in May as that is his busy season. I didn't realize how far he had traveled (in retrospect I don't feel that's my problem, either) but I am also a small business owner and I understand busy seasons. I waited patiently, then made several more attempts to reach Alan by both phone call and text to find out when he could come and correct the errors. I even asked if he has an associate who could help, or if he had any referrals he could provide for me. He has not replied to any of my messages. It is now August. His disrespect and disregard for me and my situation (after I spent so much money!!) leave me puzzled. I don't understand how a business owner can leave a customer with a major issue, an issue that he created, and I really don't understand how a business owner just completely blows off a good customer. I just bought this house with the huge in-ground pool, I could have been a client for years! It appears that Alan Marshall doesn't care about you, your project, or doing a good job. All Alan Marshall cares about is collecting your hard-earned money. Beware if you are considering hiring Marshall Pools to do work for you.

Four men did the work, told me what they were going to do, about how long it was going to take and estimated costs. They were very professional. I call this company about an excessive amount of sediment in my filters. Over the phone Stacey…read morestated that it was probably due to rotted galvanized fittings they installed 25 years ago and need to be switched out with brass. I said ok, what does that typically run and she said about $450 and I can have them out tomorrow or possibly same day and I agreed. When Tim and James showed up, Tim say's, I hear you do not have water. I corrected him and told him my issues, as we have water and is running as it should. We went to the tank and filters and he said everything seems fine and working as it should. I once again mentioned the excessive sediment in the filter. He stated that they could do a flush and it may help. I asked what that would run and he said about 1.5 of labor plus material. I agreed as it was less than the $450 over the phone. After about 30-45 minutes they could not get the pump out of the well. Tim stated that they do not usually see this but there maybe a screen attached and it is getting caught. So after getting the pump stuck they decided to finally get the well records to see if there is a screen attached. I told him to forget about it and to just put everything back, he stated that he can't do that as they got it stuck and will need to go get the bigger truck to get it out and a chainsaw to cut out my bushes. I asked what that will do and he said need to remove bushes to get to well and the truck will pull the pump out and that the cost was obviously going up a little. (Not that fetching the truck is a $500 fee). I said that I would cut the bushes myself as I do not want to be charged for demolition of my property. Once they got the truck and got the pump out, came to me to recommend a new pump($1875 + new pipe + new wire) Over $3k quote for what was supposed to be a simple service. I opted out of the new pump as the old one worked just fine and he recommended that they at least change pipe and wire or the next time would run into same issue. I agreed to new pipe and wire. ($400-$450) in additional material. They completed the work after I left the home and dropped an invoice with my mother for $1257! Well records are available to the public and yet this wasn't pulled until there was a complication/issue. If this would have been pulled before hand you would have know there was a screen installed and wouldn't have kept yanking on it and get it stuck. Then proceed to go get a larger truck and not tell the customer that it will cost them $500 just for that alone. Find yourself a well company that will do what is best for the customer and not their bank account.
