After years of dealing with a crappy Property Manager in the area, we took over management of our rental home in Moreno Valley. I was looking for a good handyman that I could rely on when things needed to get done. I sent out a blanket blast to handyman services in Moreno Valley and received 2 out of 10-15 inquiries. I was very disappointed at the lack of desire to work in general with Moreno Valley handyman services. I decided to go with Jaysen because he had good reviews and his responses to his bad reviews were not defensive or snarky. I figured even when this guy blows it he is courteous and polite. I am glad I did. Jaysen did a great job and worked with me when there were a few glitches that were mainly from my side since I live in Northern California. He was also one of the only handymen who returned my phone call for a quote. He gave me a honest a reasonable quote for the project. Jaysen responded to my quote request along with 2 others. Job was to fix a leaky shower valve. Since he was first to respond, given the great reviews, I gave him first shot at the job. We texted back and forth, and personally, I'm not big on texting when it comes to these things, so I called him to discuss the job. He sounded knowledgeable and professional. We spoke on a Sunday and made an appointment for him to come out on Tues morning. Tues morning, I received a text from him that he had to reschedule due to health issues from the recent fire. I would have preferred a call, but ok. So I called him to reschedule. He said his next available would be that following Saturday. I had other bids that I could've gone with, and wanted to get the job done sooner than later, but by then all other bidders were busy and had similar schedules. I kinda felt bad that I had already committed my business to Jaysen and considering his health issues, I stayed with him in good faith. I took the Saturday appointment. He was to show up at 9am. Saturday morning rolled around. 9 am no Jaysen. 10 am nothing. No call, no text. So I texted him at 10:15 to confirm he is still coming. I receive a text from him at 11:30 that no, he won't be coming due to family issues and so sorry. No call, that was it. I felt that was very unprofessional. While I get that health and family issues can happen, there should always be good communication with your customer, by picking up the phone and speaking directly to them. I wasted 2 days of waiting for a no show (one of which I missed work) and a week of not fixing my leaky valve, when I could've gone with someone else.. I hope his issues were truthful, and are over, but at this point I would not recommend. read more

We have a modern sectional sofa that we love but it didn't have great frames/support unfortunately. A lot of the spring holders broke. We wanted to see if we could salvage it since it's been a challenge finding furnitures in the area that me and my husband likes. I reached out to Jaysen and he offered a creative way of repairing them. He was on time, very easy to talk to, was patient with our concerns, and even took another trip to home depot to get extra parts. The furniture store repairman wanted to charge $750. Jaysen saved us a lot of money and bought us at least another year or 2 (hopefully!). We can tell he loves his job and takes pride in being able to solve his customers problems and making sure they're happy woth his work. He went above and beyond, for sure. Jaysen was hired to do some work around my house as part of some refi conditions that were outlined. He replaced the fire door from my garage to my kitchen, then replaced some wood planks on my fences, down to the size and also stained these. Jaysen also sanded down my awning on the 2nd story, then repainted with exterior paint. He was flexible with our schedules, professional and did a great job. I would recommend him for any and all jobs, I actually want to hire him to install my hardwood floors. The most unprofessional service I have ever encountered! I would give zero stars if I could. My husband and I hired him to repair a leaning fence. He agreed to do the repair and quoted us a price that we agreed to pay. Day 1, He came out looked at the fence that needed repair and asked for the cost for materials up front, we paid him and he said he'll return the next day to get started. Day 2, he brought the supplies that he purchased with him and started to take apart the fence and began the repair. It's been over 2 weeks now and he has not returned to finish the job and is not returning our texts and phone calls. Our fence is now in worse condition than it originally was, plus he left 2 90lb bags of cement torn open in our backyard that we had to clean up ourselves. I normally dont like leaving negative reviews but this had to be written to warn any other potential clients of his unprofessionalism and horrible communication. I advise anyone that needs repairs done, save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more
