The front desk staff was warm, friendly, and inviting. The hygienist was both professional and personable, and I honestly felt that the cleaning I received was one of the best I've had in a very long time. At my previous dental office, appointments felt rushed -- my cleaning there was finished in about 10 minutes, including X-rays! Dr. J was thorough, professional, and refreshing. He took the time to do a complete exam, made recommendations, and answered my questions without making me feel pressured into additional services like I experienced at my former office. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a caring and professional dental team. You won't be sorry!

My husband would call over and over to get it fixed just for them to reverse the primary. Then I get a text telling us we have an unpaid balance of $700 shortly after an appointment that we would have paid before leaving the office if we were told. Text speaks for itself. They also threatened to withhold our records until the balance was paid. Also, do not expect any fillings to stay in. I've lost 2, my husband has had 3 appointments in a month period because his kept falling out. My daughter ended up at Aspen to get hers fixed. I'm tired of fighting with a dentist that will accept both insurances and being mistreated. After calling today for an afternoon appointment and repeatedly offered an 8:30, I was told to just come in December. I have never written a bad review for anyone, but this one is deserving. I only wish that I could post pics of the texts.

Every visit here is gut-wrenching due to certain office managers. . If they don't cancel the appointment you made six months in advance to fit their schedule, they make you wait 30 minutes or more in their lobby when they could have called you to let you know they were running late. My husband and I moved heaven and earth to accommodate when their hygienist was sick. What was our thanks? Sat in the waiting room for 40 minutes once we arrived (we arrived 10 mins early so 30 minutes. I have never had them call me on time when I arrive promptly for an appointment so here's a tip : if you have to use them like I do just arrive 13 minutes late for every single appointment (their policy is to cancel if you are 15 minutes or more late. That way he will eat into their normal 30 minute wait time and only have to wait about 15 minutes once you arrive. Also make sure that you call before you leave to confirm your appointment and hang onto your appointment cards. I had an appointment card that listed the date and time and when I checked in, I was told that I must have gotten the date or time wrong (blame the customer). When I showed them the card, they just said " I'm sorry we can accommodate you today and we'll try to squeeze you in for an appointment in the next couple of weeks." Bottom line: stay away if you have a choice or until they replace the incompetent front. Great Dentists, generally bad front office staff which is sure to challenge your blood pressure.

So my husband and I had our cleanings last evening. Yes, last evening. I have never had a cleaning…read moreso late but that is when they scheduled us. I suppose it isn't a bad thing since it allows options for those that can't get off from work. The atmosphere was a little different. More cheery and welcoming. We were a little early but we were appropriately taken back at our assigned appts. My husband came out and nodded to me that his experience was better. Same Hygienist cleaned the room and then came and got me. She was cordial and identified who she was. She even apologized for not seeing me last time but stated it was due to the Doctor being with me. (I don't buy that since my husband saw her and his Dentist on the last visit and I didn't). The TV was off in the room and the chair was facing away from the door. I felt like I had the privacy and calm environment I was use to. Overall she was professional and accomplished my cleaning quickly. She made recommendations and addressed issues such as me needing to focus on my back teeth more. (Always have to be reminded). And then she walked me out and was gracious about letting me know that I could make another appt for months or I could call back. I chose to make a call later to get in. My overall impression is they may have made some changes in how they approach their patients on admit and execution of their services. It was end of day and I was surprised that they didn't seem exhausted. A few other people came in after me and it seemed they were treated with the same respect. I hope this continues for their patients going forward.

No one told me it was only for an exam and X-rays, and that I'd have to schedule another appointment for the actual cleaning because I was a new patient. I was told the dentist would be in within 5-10 minutes, but he didn't come in until 5:30 PM. When I told him I was upset about wasting my time, and I just needed a cleaning. he just said he was sorry and there was nothing they could do. I should have listened to the other reviews warning people not to go here. Poor communication and a complete waste of time.

Our experience with Emerald Waters Dental Care was frustrating from start to finish…read more After my husband's extensive dental work, we ran into major insurance issues despite having both primary and secondary coverage. Instead of resolving why one insurer paid and the other did not, the office told us they submitted the same documents to both and left it at that. When I contacted the secondary insurance myself, they said specific documentation was missing. I spent six hours calling both insurance companies, gathering the correct codes, and resubmitting paperwork -- work their office should have handled. We were also told my husband couldn't schedule further visits unless the entire balance was paid, even though insurance processing was still pending. We paid. A second billing issue involved our son's cleaning. We were told his primary insurance paid only $6 because his student status wasn't updated. When I asked how primary insurance is determined for a dependent with two policies, I was repeatedly told to "call your insurance company" instead of receiving a clear answer. The tone was dismissive and unhelpful. Shortly after, we were informed they had not properly adjusted the account and that we were being removed from the practice. Throughout this process, we were left to manage billing and insurance corrections ourselves. If you choose this office, be prepared to closely monitor your claims and advocate for your own billing resolution.

Dentist gave me two shots to deaden the pain, but gave me both shots in the same spot with no time for the first shot to work. I got to feel them both full strength and then the dentist blamed me for flinching under the pain. She told me she was going to replace a filling with "space" around it. This tooth did not have a filling, it was a crown. She ended up removing the crown by drilling on it and then broke it with a pair of pliers in my mouth. Bottom line, the dentist seemed to not have a very good grasp of what was going on in my mouth and how to proceed towards a logical solution. She subjected me to huge amounts of unnecessary pain and then when I would flinch (the normal physiological response to great pain) she would blame me and tell me to do better. My mouth hurt so bad to move afterwards, I could only eat liquid food. Because of the pain, I couldn't open my jaw enough to eat solid food for 3 weeks. That appointment was over 45 days ago, and I still have not received the call that my permanent crown is ready. On top of all that, the overcharged me on my copay. I now have a temporary crown and will absolutely go to another dentist and start all over, rather than sit in that chair ever again.
