I wanted the results of a Keratin but didn't have $350 to spend!!! I went to see Savenia, who was warm, funny, welcoming, and a great hairdresser! She just closed down her own business for commuting reasons and her experience shows. She gave me the express Keratin treatment (I think they called it a Keratin Blowout) - for about $120 - which has made my thick, frizzy hair SO much more manageable and smooth during this horrible heat and humidity. She also gave me a nice haircut, taking out a lot of the weight in my thick, thick hair and giving me some nice layers. The salon is a little hard to find (on the second floor above the Indian restaurant) but is stylish and comfortable. The prices were really reasonable. I'll definitely be going back and would highly recommend Savenia to anyone!

I came in asking for a basic brown balayage with lighter pieces and made it very clear that I do not like red tones in my hair. I even showed a reference photo. I ended up with noticeable HOT PINK highlights, which was completely unexpected and not what I asked for at all. There was no conversation or confirmation that any kind of pink tone would be added to my hair. I gave the salon a chance to fix it and came back, spending over 8 hours across 2 days trying to correct it. Unfortunately, the end result still has red undertones and now looks muddy, not like a balayage. What made the situation worse was the way it was handled. The owner was dismissive and blamed the result on a very slight color filter on my phone, saying I "should have known" I was getting pink. Even if a photo looked slightly warm, that does not justify adding hot pink tones without clearly communicating that to a client first. The owner honestly seemed annoyed that I was there and barely finished drying my hair. When I expressed that I was still unhappy after spending $300 on something that wasn't what I asked for, I was told I would have had to pay that amount regardless, and the conversation was essentially shut down. I also tried calling afterward to resolve things and never received a response. I understand that miscommunications can happen, which is why I gave them the opportunity to fix it. But the lack of accountability, poor communication, and unprofessional attitude made this a really frustrating experience. I literally cried for hours straight after coming home with pink hair, and then to be told it was my fault and to not be offered a discount/ partial refund is CRAZY. I have really dry, frizzy hair and Judi is always looking for new products she can use on me that can help. I appreciate the attention to detail and her customer familiarity. I know other people she has "rescued" from bad hair results at other places (or through their own hand) and she is always seems able to save the day in that regard. She is really great with older clients as well as she took over the Salon from her father and inherited all of his older clients and definitely treats them extra-special care and attention.
