My favorite meal so far in Rome (although to be fair it's only Day 2) but I loved my food! My entire table enjoyed it. We got one Margherita pizza and two pastas. Both spaghettis came out tasting amazingggg! The vibe was great, staff are SUPER friendly. The food didn't take too long to come out. It took about 30mins. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. They have WiFi but it sucked never even loaded for me... I did sit outside so maybe that's why. They also have bottled water both still and sparkling. The spot feels like a classy casual. Nice place. Food was good to very good, but not as great as some of the restaurants we later went to in Rome. However it is plenty good enough for lunch. Good service and a nice place with indoor and out door seating. Right near one of the museums we consisted in the morning. Good service, ave to good prices & variety of dishes had something for everyone and again we all thought the food was good to very good so four stars. read more

In relation to all the other meals we had while we were in Rome, this was by far our least favorite. To sum it up, the food was very average. This is a very Americanized version of Italian food and definitely a tourist trap. I ordered the gnocchi and my boyfriend ordered a pizza. You can tell that they do not make their gnocchi fresh daily and I believe it had been previously frozen. The center of several of my gnocchi were cold. The pizza that my boyfriend ordered was OK. Nothing to rave about. If I could go back and do it all over again, I wish we had gone to a smaller café or pretty much anywhere else. read more

Really Cute little restaurant, in Rome, fairly close to the Vatican. We came here for dinner and I had a great Pasta dish. Hubby had a lasagne. I really enjoyed my food. The ingredients were fresh and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The service was a little slow, so I can only give 4 Stars. However, with alcohol and two pasta dishes and a whole bottle of water, the bill only came out to a little over 30 Euro. Extremely affordable place and cute atmosphere. The atmosphere here was pretty friendly. The restaurant was spacious. Restrooms are down the stairs in the back of the restaurant btw. I had the spaghetti carbonara while the hubs had the roast lamb. The carbonara was really good. Perhaps it was the bacon pieces. I suppose since it's a staple dish of the Italians, I wanted to give it a try. I really liked it as the sauce was thick and clung to the pasta versus it being too saucy. There were def good flavors with this dish. The hubs' lamb was pretty massive. It was really chewy and succulent. The large veggie slices (zucchini and carrot) and mini side of salad were the pairings with the lamb. He seemed to have enjoyed it. At the open window facing the sidewalk, you can see an employee creating fresh pasta artwork: flowers & decorative pieces. Even throughout the interior, you can see a couple of these artworks. We stopped here for lunch while walking back from the Vatican. Its ok but in Rome there are a million choices. I had the lunch special which was caprice salad and any pasta. I picked lasagna only because I had not had any lasagna yet. The caprice salad was good, tomatoes were good, cheese good, 1 basil leaf and some olive oil. The lasagna was rather plain, I expected more spices. No bread came with the lasagna. The cost all together for lunch was just over 30 Euros. Sorry but that's a lot. I had a wonderful multi-course meal here with a large group. Our server was charismatic and gave great explanations of every food and wine we tried. He added so much to our overall experience. The food was absolutely amazing especially the Cacio e Pepe and Amatriciana pastas. There was also a DJ playing music that we could hear from outside. A solid restaurant on the touristy side. Nonetheless, it satisfied my taste buds, particularly the marina sauce. Obviously, such a sauce was delicious at just about every single restaurant we went to in Rome; but, this one stood out, as it had a unique sweetness. Very rude staff. We walked in at about 9:30 PM on a Sunday night to have drinks and dessert and listen to music. With about 10-12 open tables in the restaurant, it was not close to full and could easily have accommodated the two of us. We were turned away because "Ma'am, it's dinner time. Maybe you can try again later." I would have completely understood had there been a full house or a line waiting. However, with music starting at the time we arrived and no one else waiting, being refused service was pretty off putting. read more

Great food! Went here on recommendation of our hotel. We got the bruschetta misto : one with olive tapenade, another traditional tomato, the other has cheese. All three were Delicious. Also got insalata misto. And the lasagne bolognese. Also got beer, wine, and limoncello. Everything was fantastic. Split these three items with the hubby since we are not big eaters and who wants to walk around with a super full belly anyway. Service was friendly. Atmosphere is lively with a lot of tourists. The outside patio is right on a very busy street, so get a table near the quiet alley. read more

Walked by this place and saw the sign for bruschetta + pasta and a drink for 10 euros. As I contemplated going in, the waiter put the sign away. I asked if the offer was over and he said they would still do it. My husband got the caprese salad + pasta and wine for 13 euros! You can't beat that. The food was amazing. The staff was so helpful and kind. Seriously recommend this place! read more

We ordered Linguini lobster (5/5)surely did hit the spot, meatball in sauce and pasta with tomato sauce (3/5) too bland for me but this restaurant has excellent customer service from the staff to the manager. I will surely comeback if I can to explore other menu. read more

My husband and I caught up with our daughters and their friend there on our visit to Rome. The girls were staying close by and although we were heading out to another place we all noticed such a happy vibe coming off the busy Jazz Cafe. The waiter quickly made a table of 5 for us outside. We each ordered a different meal and they were all fabulous. A mix of pastas, pizza and caprese salads. My daughter ordered the pizza and as a novelty they made the pizza into a love heart :) Our waiter was fun, attentive and chatty and even threw in a couple of rounds of limoncello at the end of our meal! read more

My wife and I arrived in Rome pretty tired from several days of travel and the long train ride from Venice to Rome. We simply wanted something good to eat and were told to go to a close by ristorante but it didn't open until 7:30. No can do. We needed food now. Just done the block was Jazz cafe. A corner pizzeria where they make their own pasta and have an incredible pizza oven. First day, yesterday, we simply had a tuna salad. Nothing dramatic but good with great greens. No iceberg lettuce here people. Fresh arugula etc. today we were tired from tours and standing and needed to eat NOW! Since Jazz was close by and we loved their service we went again. This time we did the special. Caprese salad. Made with not cow milk but water buffalo from Italy. Delicious. Different flavor but still mild. Bufalo is how it's listed and it's great with the greens on the plate also. Included was either Pasta or Pizza so we each got something different. The fresh made pasta is thicker noodles and my wife got the red sauce with Bacon (pancetta) that is thick and delicious. I had the pizza with artichokes, olives, ham and mushrooms. So darn good. They use a 60/40 mix of 00 flour and semolina so My wife does nothing t get the same gluten reaction on the pasta. It's simply delicious Stop by and enjoy read more

My wife and I had dinner here and it was by far, the best food we had during our stay in Rome. They are generous with their portions, reasonably priced, and the best part is that they don't charge a dining service fee! I had the lobster linguine which was amazing. The sauce was excellent and filled with a delicate and not an overpowering taste. The linguine was cooked to perfection. The seafood linguine had a generous portion of clams, mussels, squid, and a jumbo prawn. We also recommend the tiramisu, which was the bomb! A must try for seafood pasta. Sat down for happy hour but was never even approached by a server after waiting about 10 minutes. They looked at us several times and still no acknowledgement. We walked out and went less than a block away to anni 60 for happy hour instead. Much better environment there. The jazz cafe didn't even have a good happy hour. There are so many better places to spend a Roman vacation. read more
