I'm visiting from out of town and was told about the food at this establishment (Dargan Jazz Club). I'm truly disappointed. We waited for at least an 1.5, after repeated calls to both club and doordash driver. The drivers was told it's not ready(each time). The time changed numerous times on delivery. In the process of canceling food arrived. The order was thrown together. Heard about collard green egg rolls (no greens). It was a joke. Sampler and wings were ordered. Neither order was prepared with care. Hard fried flour thick on chicken-shrimp test like salt and they're was no honey flavor Insight. Shame on the cook who prepared and Sent this food out the kitchen. Do Better and in a timely manner. read more

Cute little place in Downtown Florence. Came here for brunch and it was so many of us and not enough seating! I wasn't really comfortable sitting at the bar. I've been to Jazz on Dargan on several occasions and enjoyed each time. Lovely ambiance with decor that brings the Harlem Renaissance era to mind. Art & music that pays homage to the jazz greats. A nice menu offering burgers, wings ( I love the lemon pepper & Korean bbq), a variety of entrees, and some of the best fried pickles I've ever had. Interesting & well-priced cocktail offerings--the Kush with blueberries was DELICIOUS. All of this + friendly, welcoming service= an overall great experience. I knocked one star off for the collard green egg rolls. The original recipe was AMAZING! The new version with cream cheese & black eyed peas is a huge disappointment--too heavy & too large. We were down in Florence for a softball tournament and thought this place looked interesting. We like to try new places when we are in a town we have never been to rather than going to a regular chain restaurant. We are so glad we tried Jazz on Dargon. The wait staff was super friendly and responsive. They were busy because it was homecoming night and we still felt well taken care of. Winter our waitress was great and Tommy the owner even came over and hung out with us and chatted for a bit. Overall a very welcoming atmosphere and a great experience for my daughter and my father. To top it off the food was great. The gumbo and the shrimp and grits were good but the oysters Rockefeller might have been the best I have ever had and I have been to New Orleans. read more

This is my mom's go to spot on Friday nights. I was in town for the week, so i decided to tag along. This place is quaint, has a diverse crowd and moderately priced. There's a live band every week, which rotates. The drinks are strong, the food is great and they have tv's for sporting events. They're known for their signature drinks, so i ordered the Jazzy Iced Tea. It was perfect! Jazz on Dargan is conveniently located downtown Florence. Some of the best wings in the city. Jazz on Dargan is a small tapas bar but the food and drinks there are great. Me and a friend decided to stop by after running errands all day and it's a hidden gem! There was a live band with great music and the vibe was perfect for someone looking for something lowkey. We tried the fried green tomatoes, fried pickles, Buffalo chicken egg rolls and chicken wings and there was not a single complaint. Everything was just right. The food came out quickly and the drinks were made in front of us (the place is small so the bar is the center of everything) so we didn't have to wait long. The wait staff was super attentive and friendly. The space is pretty tight so we wore our masks just to err on the side of caution but overall we have 0 complaints. We walked in after a long day and were immediately happy we'd come in just based off the overall vibe. It's relaxed, welcoming, but everyone's involved in their own conversation and just hanging and having a good time. All of the staff checked on us as they passed, and the main person taking care of us was enthusiastic, friendly, and funny. Suggestions for Owner (s): Round Tables for Booths to reduce customers from rubbing against "butts" etc. This will Help maximize the tight space.As well as asking customers sitting at Bar to kindly push their chairs in when others are moving through the establishment.
