If you are wondering whether or not to try this, get out of your own way and go. I was into sports…read moregrowing up and missed that camaraderie, but mostly powerlifted on my own with my headphones and RBF. But at one point I realized I needed coaching to move to the next level so I decided to give it a try at Hygge, and it was one of the most meaningful and fantastic decisions I've ever made (no kidding). I lost 10lbs (8% of my body weight), 4.4% body fat, my arms and legs are muscular, and I saw an ab for one second before I ate some cake so I have to work on that but the whole physique thing is coming along nicely. I feel stronger than I ever have, I rehabbed a shoulder injury easily, and am more capable of carrying heavy things, lifting whatever without much effort. Training at Hygge has given me a control over my movement that I'd never experienced before. The facilities are amazing, the coaching is amazing (at all three locations) Lifting cycles are well planned, goals are measured, and you are able to track and see your progress easily. They offer a TON of classes as compared to other boxes, and the caliber of instruction and training is unmatched in my experience (I've done some drop ins, literally had a coach compliment my form AND the scale I chose as he had never considered it before -- directly stolen from what we did last week at Hygge). Your body and life will change, you will make some friends, you will all become better together and you'll feel awesome. I am a convert for life because of this gym and these coaches. If you have doubts go in. These guys care so much about what they do and you as an individual. You do not have to be fit to start. You will get there, and you're only competing with what you could do last week and yourself. So is everyone else. Good luck.

Hygge is the best gym from the elite coaches, who make class so much fun (even though the workouts…read moreare challenging at times, they bring the best out of you to push it!) The coaches also know how to modify a workout to help your individual needs. The atmosphere is amazing, everyone will become your closest friends and encourage you to push yourself. A couple of meals were posted on the app but it was not tailored to my needs and food allergies, just cut and paste generic recipes. Worthless. The gym is dirty, grips are sticky which implies that they are not wiped down ( I used machines right after another person and no wiping was done). My workouts were not structured with respect to goals and when I questioned James he said he would have to get to know me better and he needed a year? As I questioned many things, I was met with answers that were not direct and a barrage of statements that "I'm the best, I have degrees, you should trust me?" My confidence waned after several weeks of trying to stick with working out and quite frankly not knowing if it was appropriate for me or I was moving from machine to machine just to fill the half hour which cost $50. In addition to the facility smelling like mold, floors dirty, machine grips sticky, the bathroom was nasty too. Clean and spacious environments.. its a log cabin and the air quality is not the best. On the website it states Monday thru Saturday. Not so. He doesn't work on weekends. And train "like a movie star".. well, I don't even understand why that is on the website as a leader statement. Do u think it is appropriate to be training someone for $50. A HALF hour and be on the phone with a Company because your website is not working? Or leave to tell a person working in your yard where to dig holes? Professionalism...lacking. Think twice before you join this gym.. the photos on the website are misleading, it doesn't look like that and the trainer espouses how great he is but I witnessed nothing that gave me confidence with respect to a customized structured workout plan just for me. Does anyone ask for a year to "get to know you" if they are an expert in the field. I have worked out all my life and have been to many gyms. I do not claim to know all things but I am not a novice with respect to working out. I was expecting a personalized training program and goals with a personal trainer and so disappointed because of the great buildup of all the testimonials online and the complete absence of "personal" with respect to training. I had five more sessions that I paid for.. $600. for 12 1/2 hr sessions. He refused to give me a partial refund and he took money he didn't earn. By the way, are those photos on the website of actual people that have been there or stock photos? Clean and spacious place to work out? Customized workout plan? Sports nutritioni? Train like a movie star? Med Core. Beware.

CrossFit looks intimidating on the outside, but once you get started, you realize it's more than just a fantastic workout- It's a community! And a fun one at that! I had thought about joining a crossfit gym for some time, but was always way too nervous, as I thought it would be too tough. But after a hell of a year I decided I have nothing to lose! I read reviews of Furion and knew this was the place to be. It took a lot for me to build up the courage to go to that first class 2 months ago, but I am so happy that I did! As soon as I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a huge smile from the coaches, and the members! Somehow seeing people be that happy during a workout eased my anxieties pretty quickly! I immediately felt welcomed! The coaches are so patient, and will teach you everything you need to know as you go, with words of encouragement every step of the way. One thing that has really stood out to me is how the coaches help you get past mental blocks you might have by simply just believing in you! My first time doing deadlifts I didn't think I'd be able to lift even 50 pounds. But the coach was very confident I could do more, so I kept putting more and more weight on, until I was deadlifting my body weight. I never would've had the confidence in myself to ever attempt that, so it was a very eye opening experience for me. Although they push you to be better at every workout, they will never put pressure on you for anything! It's all about positivity and building on your last workout. This place is for anyone at any skill level, and it is truly a judgment free zone. The people here treat you like family, which I think is very unique in a gym. I honestly can't say enough good things about CrossFit Furion! I just love it here!

Parents let me off you a little more detail. I have been going to this location for just a few months and I have truly been enjoying the workout and the amazing trainers. These classes are fun, accessible to all people regardless of fitness level. The music is great, you will be sweaty, you will smile and feel amazing when you walk out. I went to a fundamentals class on Sunday morning, it was all I could squeeze in because of my schedule. James, my favorite, was leading the class. There was a young man there and if I had to guess, I would put him at around maybe 16 or 17. He was shy, introverted, awkward, and I could tell he would rather disappear than have anyone look at him. I watched James patiently explain each of the moves, use his high energy and welcoming personality to pull this young man out of his shell. I don't know this kid's story, I don't know if there is a male figure in his life or not and I'm not here to assume. I watched James teach, coach, inspire, motivate, and include with patience, grace, charm, dignity, and respect. One thinks of boxers as hard edge and rough, but there was something magical about watching James teach this young man how to stand, how to throw a punch, how to move. I can only imagine what this gym, James, and the other trainers will do for the confidence of young people who need a little more encouragement. Parents the world can be tough. This is a positive environment with good people, it is a safe, inclusive place for men, women, teens looking to get in shape, get healthy, improve their confidence and maybe even make a few friends. A few of the other reviews mentioned that they were unable to cancel their membership. I also had an issue with my membership, I had to go in and speak to someone in person. I was told there was a change in leadership and that the new manager would connect with me. We will see what happens and I will update this if necessary as necessary - but for now, this review is strictly about the workout and the trainers who create the environment. They need to be acknowledged because they are the very best.

When I first came to Spartan I was transitioning from one gym to another…read more I knew I had to make sure I could tolerate the people that were around me that I would be working out with because let's face it, distractions come every day. I also knew I had to find a gym with similar equipment that offered strength toning for my injuries from a prior car accident Because I'm limited on some mobility and they understand this. However, when I walked into spartan and started taking the classes I was blown away. I felt like a kid in a candy store looking at all of the equipment they had to offer in the workouts. it excited me, but challenged me at the same time. Fear started to take over my brain, can I do this bc spartan was far more advanced from where I was coming from. I began taking the drop in workouts, sweating like crazy of course doing my best to overcome the challenge in front of me. I was also looking for a gym with an adult mindset, no pettiness or caddiness, because let's face it... when you go to a gym to actually work out, you shouldn't have to deal with childish distractions. But I saw that I really wasn't going to have to worry about this because everyone there was like a Big happy family that have known each other for years even if they haven't. Everyone here was here to really work out And no one acts as if they are better than you here, instead some of the other clients might come over to help you learn a workout in a different strategy if you aren't getting the movement down as fast as you would like too! I began to see that Spartan wasn't a drama show only drama free zone and when you choose a gym like spartan, you will be able to concentrate better on your workouts! The level of Friendliness from everyone is still there even after I decided to do a month to month contract instead of paying daily. I felt like I was at the right place at the right time if that makes sense, like I hit the lotto because the workouts were challenging and I knew that's what I needed. I know I have the mentality Where I need to be pushed. If I were to workout by myself at home or somewhere like a at your own risk type of gym, I wouldn't go because I have already tried that way before. There is a rotation of trainers for each workout or you can sign up for open gym or do both, whichever you prefer. The classes they offer are a mix of cardio and strength toning, so you aren't just toning but burning calories too and where I was coming from before didn't have much cardio mixed in. But they also offer open gym if you are experienced and want to do it all on your own. They also don't get frustrated with you when you arent getting a move down, instead they keep working with you till you do. It's a great mix and each class still continues to challenge me. Spartan works with you to make sure you are doing the movements correctly and they really do have alot of patience for clients like me who struggle learning a workout. The prices are very reasonable too! I wish I would of done my research and went to this gym first, I am forever grateful for finding spartan gym! Thank you for being so patient with me as I continue into my fitness journey!

As someone who's gone to this gym from time to time, there are a few pros & cons that I will list…read moreout in detail to help you better understand as to whether or not this gym is for you! Pros: The gym has a LARGE amount of amenities. There are two basketball courts (which are also used for pickleball), an indoor lap pool with hot tubs, an outdoor swimming area with slides (at an extra charge). There are classes, a ton of different machines for both cardio and lifting, and a really clean and upscale atmosphere. People tend to mind their own business and the staff have on average been helpful, at least in my experience. There is also a kids "daycare" if that's what you call it. A lot of parents will use this so they can have time to work out and actually work. There's a little area right next to the cafe that has tables and outlets. I see a lot of people with MacBooks doing work. They probably work remotely. Who knows. Cons: The price point for this gym is definitely the highest of them all coming in at $220.00 a month per person. IF you are married or you can prove cohabitation, you can add an additional person on your account for around $100 a month. This gym definitely has a crowd that is very gymcentric. This isn't a bad thing. But some people who are looking for a more chill or less intimidating atmosphere may think twice. I was one of these people until I decided to just not care. But that's easier said than done. The gym can be exceptionally crowded at peak hours. So if you plan on going daily I'd do my very best to avoid late afternoons on weekdays and nights on weekends. I was hoping the bathroom situation would be a little better but, there seems to be 2 bathrooms for ladies and men of course (from what I've seen). And with the amount of people there sometimes, it can be a little bit hectic. The locker room is fine and the showers are just average. At the price point of $220.00 I was expecting some futuristic pod shower than also does your taxes but, we all can't have what we want. The outside swimming area is an additional monthly charge, by the way. Conclusion: So take it or leave it. The price point is HIGH, but there are a lot more amenities and options for machines than any other gym out there. Is that justified? I don't really know. So three stars. Until they have a robot that does my taxes, then it might go to 4.

Honestly, it seemed insanely crowded with the usual suspect machine hogs and the perma-tanned preening that you can enjoy for free on South Beach.
