Got an estimate from them to replace a fence with 2 gates. Came home after work and they only installed 1 gate because the owner said he measured wrong and I would have to pay an additional $400 for the back gate. Never got the 2nd gate. After 3 years the fence sections are leaning the fence panels are coming away from the posts and it is very hard to open the gate. Very poor craftsmanship. They nailed the fence sections to the posts from behind. Worst fence I have ever had installed. They even took the hardware from my previous gates when they could have re-used them and not charged me. The owner swore at me on the phone and then called back to leave me a message of "F___ You!" So unprofessional..still trying to get them to come and fix the issues with little response- I have contacted the BBB. read more

I spoke to at least 30 fence contractors in the area. I had a terrible experience with one, it starts with the letter h, and ended up not selecting them so I found myself searching for a new fence company and it came to this family owned business. The brother Steve is great and sister sue does the office work. I had a backyard privacy fence installed with cedar. And it looks amazing in the front I put in a black aluminum fence which is also beautiful. They have great customer service the sister answers the phone and she's very nice. She doesn't always pick up the phone though but usually when I text the brother she will answer lol. Over all their customer service experiences wonderful. they brought a team of 6 guys. They were able to crank out the fence in three days. I've had a couple of issues which I asked them to fix and they never gave me any problems with coming back to do so. I think if you're in the area you should seriously look at this fence contractor as there are so many others that seem to not know what they're doing. great family business and i like to support local folks. bottom line: JC fence gave me a great product at a very good,competitive price. read more

I can NOT believe this company has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau! It definitely calls into question the credibility of the BBB. Many of the reviews online tell the same story of JC Fence not responding to clients once they have received their payments, even for small adjustments/corrections. I contracted with them to replace two sections of fence with gates. We have a pool. They knowingly replaced the gate that was to code (ie: self closing opens out) with a gate that DOES NOT MEET CODE. The gate they installed opened in and had no closer. I brought it to their attention and refused to pay until the job was complete. The owner insisted I pay most of the balance because most of the job was done. That is not what the contract says. Having not yet read their reviews online, I reluctantly agreed. Because I withheld a portion of the final payment, They did come back and switch the gate to open outward but it left an ugly large gap between the house and the gate. The closer they added was meant for a small chain link gate and was not adequate to close this large wooden gate. Even if it had been strong enough to close the gate, the latch did not align. Unfortunately, by the time this became evident, I had already paid the balance. To date there has been no reply to my requests to fix the latch and replace the closer with something stronger. The worst part is the owner told me that he advises his customers to remove the closer once the inspector has signed off on it because it could loosen the post. I guess to him that would be more important than saving the life of a small child who might wander through the unlocked gate an fall into the pool. The service gate had a gap of almost 2 inches between doors. When I brought it to the attention of the owner he told me that wood expands and the gap is required. Wood may expand but certainly not by 2 inches. He also said that altering the gap in any way it would void the warranty. That's if you could actually get them to respond to an issue after payment was received. In addition, the communication was very poor. Calls and emails received no response. We did not even know when they were coming to install the fence. The crew just showed up one day with no notice. Then after installing the posts just left without telling us when they would be back to finish or what the next steps were. Save yourself the aggravation and use another fence company. read more

Highly recommend! From start to finish, everyone we talked to was timely, respectful, and patient. They removed and discarded our large old fence and installed a 400 linear foot cedar fence with steel poles with multiple gates, including a service gate. We were a bit nervous to do this project, but JC Fence was reassuring and helpful throughout the process. Their quote came in much lower than other companies, but quality was not compromised. The workers were respectful of our property too, which is a big thing for us. I would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

I ordered a 6 foot baskey weave pattern with gothic post caps and was told it would be ready for install in October. The 5 panels were installed on Oct 23 but with the wrong post caps. I called the office twice and told we'll get back to you. The 2nd time they hung up on me. I wish i can get the original Gothic caps that i originally ordered. JC Fence put up part of my fence and I've been trying to get them to come back FOR OVER A YEAR to complete the job. They have not returned any of my phone calls, and when I did, by chance, get someone on the phone they said they'd send me an invoice and could start in 4-5 weeks. It was a brush off. The JC Fence representative showed up to my house 20 minutes early. He then called me and asked, "are you awake?" I told him that I needed until our scheduled time, 9 am, to be ready to show my property and get an estimate. At 9, I went outside to meet him, but his demeanor was so unprofessional (asking if I'm awake? and getting there 20 minutes early) that I had to make him understand that I didn't appreciate him being so early and showing such disrespect asking if I'm awake... why would I not be awake?! I'm the one who made the appointment! He did not make any effort to apologize. He started raising his voice and starting making excuses as if I wasn't a valued customer. I couldn't believe how extremely unprofessional his behavior was and I told him, "if you won't apologize and show me respect, I don't want to do business with you and please leave my property." Bottom line: I would NEVER recommend this company to install a fence for you, and I would also NEVER want them near my property WHATSOEVER. If I could, I would give this company 0 stars. Only hire these guys if you want to find used needles when they leave. They were hired to remove our old fence, put new pole in and rehang our fence. We found used needles, poles and concrete thrown on the bushes. Also if your having them install your fence make sure you check because now my dog can get out is so many places it's not funny. Poorly run, immature business. Had a $10K fence that they installed. Need repairs done now and when you call and say you need fence repairs done, you get "accidentally" disconnected, over and over again. Because of the April 2018 storm we had, this poorly managed business cannot even take care of customers with fence contracts through them. But, what about next year when we don't have a storm ? This company does not stand behind their work--they are only thinking short-term and keep doing installations ! We purchased a high end aluminum commercial fence from this company. The order delivered was one post short. They argued with us and said they counted the order before delivery. This was just the beginning. The hinges for the gate were too big. I went there today to try to get the correct hinges only to be told that's all they have. So we had to customize the hinges on site ourselves cutting them down to the right size, drilling new holes for screws and painting them black again to match the finish. Once installed it was obvious that the gate was too heavy for the pole they provided and sagged creating an uneven look. We don't have time due to our schedule to rip out this fence and edit for another special order so looks like we will have to customize yet another part of the fence for it to simply work. Something they should have been a simple install will now take 40-50% longer and will not be 100% for another 2 weeks. No one at the company offered any kind of resolutions, alternate Options or discounts. Should have read the others 1 star reviews. read more

I think you get what you pay for. The men were clean and came on time. They explained everything and made the tailor cuts nicely. They pay attention to all the details that make the difference. I had a bad taste in my mouth at first because the estimator showed up over 2 hours later than scheduled and didn't call to say he would be late until an hour after the appointment. But we decided to have them do the work anyway because the estimator walked us through the process more than any other estimator that had come out. We scheduled installation about 2 months later. We had a very large PVC fence installed and it only took 2 days! The workers were very professional and did an amazing job. The fence looks great and I am very satisfied. read more
