After selecting a shirt type, I was given instructions on using the online design tool to save on cost, as well as some cost comparisons. After submitting my short order, Tim was in contact with me during the process of confirming and changing the order as needed. We did make a few changes and we was always helpful and understanding! Dropped a dress off on 11/20/24 for alterations. During this appointment, I let the seamstress know…read morethat I may need to cancel this alteration and would let them know as soon as possible. She acknowledged this and agreed to let her know ASAP due to them being on a holiday break from 11/21-12/2. Not even 24 hours later, I called and left a voicemail to cancel the alteration. I called again on 11/22 and left another voicemail to ensure my message was received. I received a text 11/22 from the business that my message was received, and I could pick up my dress on 12/3/24. I went to the establishment on 12/3 to pick up my *unaltered* dress, only to find out the seamstress was actively altering it... Ben (co-owner?) confirmed that the text I received acknowledging my request to cancel was not automated. Ben only offered to refund me for the dress ($99) when I paid $185.44 for the alterations. Finally, Ben agreed to refund me for the alterations but not the dress. I am still awaiting the refund for the alterations. Neither staff member was apologetic for this mistake, and I'm now out the cost of the dress -- that was going to be returned but now cannot due to their mistake -- because they couldn't be bothered to correct it. They did not offer to return the dress either. TLDR: Columbus Alteration Co. acknowledges the request to cancel w/in their policy timeframe and alters dress anyway. They are not apologetic whatsoever and make little offer to amend this. This dress was to be returned to Birdy Grey as it was no longer being worn and now I am out that cost due to their mistake.

I went to this store at the recommendation of a friend. My husband and I shopped around for 20…read moreminutes without ever being acknowledged. (There were many workers in the store but not many customers). We left the store. My friend encouraged me to try again. Once again my husband and I went back and tried again. The service was better but not great. I bought a few scrub bottoms and a pair of Klogs (recommendation of the salesperson). She assured me that I would like these shoes as much as I do my Danskos. When I got home I realized the salesperson had charged me $130.00 and had not given me the hospital discount. When I called back they told me that the shoes were on sale for $130.00 so I couldn't get both discounts. When I told them the box said $120.00 she told me I had an old box. She was not going to honor it but reluctantly credited my account $10 but still did not give me the hospital discount. After about 6 months of daily wear, the shoes creased at the bend on top of the shoe. I was no longer able to wear them. After paying $120.00 I expected to get more wear out of them than 6 months. A year later, my coworker had on a really nice work jacket. She said she could order one for me but in navy. She did and I also got it embroidered with our company name and my name. When it arrived it was not navy at all. It was a gray-blue. I called the store and spoke with Steve the owner. He was very mattered of fact and basically told me it was my fault for ordering it expecting it to be navy blue when the color is specifically called urban navy and that the manufacturers have different colors. I explained my friend had ordered a black one for herself and when ordering she just asked for navy thinking it was navy blue like the colors of the scrubs in his store. He said I could not return it. He did not offer me a store credit or try to fix the situation at all. I explained I wouldn't be able to wear it and would be out $96.00. His response was Oh WELL. I would have thought that with all that healthcare workers are experiencing today, a little kindness and understanding especially from a store that services healthcare workers. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this store and hopefully, my experience will help someone else not have to have the same awful experience.

Their turn around time is quick; pricing is reasonable and the product is always high quality. They cannot sell Nike, Adidas and some other brands due to local competition, but they can get you the next best thing. Also great to use when outfitting coaches, school faculty and staff, or providing warm-up options for sports teams. We used a different company for cheerleading uniforms. We found out the week of our first game that we were not going to have our uniforms in time for the first game. I called Steve on Monday, the uniform alternative was ready by Friday. Again, great to work with and easy to get along with!
