We've known this fabulous pastry shop from an earlier location. They have kept or bettered their offerings. The place is fairly busy but there always appears to be seating for those who choose to partake at the shop. For the best selection of pastries it's best to be there earlier in the day as some items do sell out. Having your pastries served on vintage or antique china with similar tableware added to the enjoyment of each morsel of the pastry. Having tea using china is so much better than a disposable cup with the cooling to drinking temperature more easily accommodated. Great to visit and then to repeat..... Yes you can get pastries to take away also. Additionally they have savory offerings also as croissants or as crepes. Crepes can also be dessert types.

Blueberry cheesecake.

LIV restaurant is located inside White Oaks Resort with plenty of parking spots outside or walk…read moreover after shopping at the outlet mall. The decor is modern and eye-catching. Not a lot of people for a Sunday dinner which I was still surprised that we couldn't make reservations for 5:30 pm. At the end, the most they had was 6 tables with guests. So basically, quite empty. While we waited for our food, we were presented with complimentary chips and a dip, house made since it was still warm. Crunchy yummy!! My hubby had their burger with a salad. And he said it was pretty damn good!!! I had the eggplant Parmesan but sans the cheese. The two eggplant pieces were large and the pasta was cooked right. Smothered with lots of tomato sauce. However, I was surprised it came in a bowl instead of a plate. So indeed the presentation could be better. Overall, the taste was there and I was a happy Cat. Too bad I didn't have room for dessert. I would have loved to try their chocolate avocado cake. Sounds interesting!? Moreover, White Oaks Resort is a very nice place to stay at if you are around the Niagara-on-the-lake or Niagara Falls area. ** Don't forget to take a stroll at the back of the resort. Very calm and relaxing. They have a pond full of goldfish. Starbucks and McD is across from it so hop over for any snacks.

The restaurant is in the lower level of a boutique hotel called Sterling Inn & Spa. Once inside, you are transported to a modern French inspired theme and ambiance. The chef is very much into sustainable cooking / ingredients including his own garden for locally grown produce and sources all other ingredients from Organic farms and purveyors as well. For this special menu, they had curated items from their normal ala carte selections as well as a few other unique items based on seasonal ingredients. Each meal offered three courses including an appetizer, main and a dessert. My wife and I each chose different apps (sunchokes for me, salad for her), but both had our hearts set on that beautiful looking beef tenderloin and who can't resist a dessert called Chocolate Chocolate? Our server was a transplant from the states, she was super-attentive and full of energy and smiles. It certainly added to the ambiance of the evening. My wife had a glass of red from a local (Organized Crime) which she said paired perfectly with the richness of the steak. Each dish was superbly crafted, cooked and presented. Being a three course meal, including a fourth course (bread service with an incredible whipped herbed butter)...the meal was paced so as to take your leisure and linger over every bite. Truly, the star of the entire meal was the beef tenderloins which quite literally melted in your mouth topped with melted brie and served with the creamiest mashed potatoes I think I've ever had. I would easily put this steak in my all-time top 5! We relished every bite, soaked in the vibe from start to finish and left feeling fully satisfied. Definitely a "special occasion" type restaurant, but also not to be missed if in the area.

Nice music playing against wonderful decor relaxes you and sets the table for what is nothing short of an exceptional meal inspired by Chef Cory.   I was welcomed by Erika my Waitress that was more than a waitress. She knew the menu well and recommended the Octopus and the Lamb with a bottle of wonderful Amarone wine. Erika was not rushed and was professionally efficient.   I have to say that Cory knows you eat with your eyes first, smell second and taste last. The Octopus dish was stunning in its presentation with immaculate detail to all the delicious bits on the plate. Wow. So good. The Lamb was no less impactful in presentation and succulence.   All in all a wonderful experience. Erika was a star. The meal was outstanding. Highly recommended for a special occasion, date night or just to treat yourself as you step away from over processed industrial prepared foods that come in Sous Vide bags. You also get breakfast delivered to the room and we enjoyed instruction number 3 for the coffee press. Enjoy the freshness that AG and Cory bring.   John and Sandi from Port Perry

From the moment I pulled up to the restaurant from the moment I left - it was perfection. It was a chilly, rainy summer day - so we sat indoors. The restaurant has a small dining area - but that is part of the charm. We sat in the best seats in the house - right in the front windows. Westfield is a lovely little village and the park is right out the front window of the parkview. I like details, and the parkview did not disappoint on that level. The table was beautifully set and simply, tastefully decorated. The small, significant touches definitely made an impression on me. When my friend joined, he suggested the homemade chicken pot pie. The entire menu looked delicious and normally I wouldn't order a pot pie... but I trust my friend's palate and - he was right. Absolute deliciousness. I can't wait to come back and try something else. And the staff - wonderful, attentive, and kind.
