They insisted the issue wasn't the transmission but the battery. I paid to replace it, only for the check engine light to come back on. I scanned the code myself--it was the transmission. I brought the car back the next day. The staff were all smiles and careful with their wording, making it seem like they'd recheck it for free since they missed the issue the first time. They never mentioned a charge. I should've confirmed, but instead of charging upfront like before, they hit me after the fact.
