It's almost addictive to want to scour the shelves for the treasures you think you might find. I wasn't looking for anything in particular when I was stopping here, but of course I had a few ideas in mind when I was looking. I went directly to the housewares department as I was looking for items that would help me in the kitchen area. Somehow during the move I lost my utensils, among other things. Eating with plastic utensils and chopsticks was getting to be a bit too much. I ended up finding not just utensils while I was there. This location was rather well organized. Staff were helpful. Checking out was a breeze and I was onto my next location.

In fact, the last time I went I was just looking for two pink bath towels and they didn't have any shade of pink at all available in the entire bath section. However, their curbside pickup service gets five stars from me. It's great when I just need something small and quick (most recently, a tablecloth for Thanksgiving) and don't want to spend $75 to get free shipping to my house. I also have a daughter who is too young to wear a mask so I'm not crazy about bringing her inside. I've used it three times now and each time the employee has been super friendly and I've had to wait no more than five minutes in my car. I think a lot of restaurants could take a page out of their playbook for curbside pickup.

When I knew I was going to be coming to this area I did a search to see what was available store wise and planned out my day. This was my first stop of the day and I was a bit excited. I went in and was happy to see that they had a wide selection of items to pick over. Better than most thrift stores if you ask me. I thought that I was going to find a few things here and be on my way. Well...not so accurate. As one other reviewer put it, "absolutely insane prices." What they were charging for some items in here you could buy brand new in a chain store. It boggled my mind at where they thought they could charge that much for items that would probably be in the trash if not in this store. Needless to say, I didn't end up securing anything from here. I also have to concur that this place does have an aroma to it. Want to know something really odd? Like really, really odd? Right next door to it is basically an extension of it. A space that offers only furniture items. That is packed to the gills........but it is never open. I thought to myself that I would give it a go. I pull on the door and it doesn't open, even though it is lit up. And then you notice the sign that says you are on camera. Great, take a picture, but let me in, open this section up. Or, wait, maybe not, if the prices are the same as the main space, you probably won't find a bargain here.

I forgot to…read morebring a proper coat on a holiday visit and wound up at Belk on Black Friday expecting to be drawn and quartered by an unruly mob looking for a Door Buster on Ugly Christmas sweaters or a quick organ harvest among the trampled rabble. However, Southern Maryland ain't Jersey so the crowds were well behaved and the help was genuinely nice pointing you to neat and orderly racks gently persused by customers not looking for a cage match. They did have a pretty decent sale going on, but the sale was a bit weird. They to compound it with the way they do clearance and you are right out confused. You really have to look to make sure what you are looking at is the right price as it is listed. After a few minutes of my mind being boggled, I decided it was time to exit and keep this in mind as I was about to go to a competitor. I wanted to compare prices before I committed to an item.
