This office is so kind and helpful! They were very patient and understanding with helping me when the new glasses I ordered arrived were a different color than I was expecting. I got home and thought I was crazy, certain that I wouldn't have picked out a purple that was quite that vibrant lol. We realized that the cool-brown frames I'd picked out in the gallery had just been mislabeled. They were the EXACT same style, just a slightly different color. I don't think people really want to hear about my true feelings and how they treated me. First let me start with the eye Dr if it wasn't for her I would not have this place a star at all. The eye doctor was great I should have known as soon as the person that handle the eye glass order had a disagreement with the dr that things were going to be not good. Then when I sat down with the lady she tells me that the eye Dr doesn't know how to write the prescription, well then I think that the dr and the eye glass people need to sit down and talk about how each side does things don't just blame someone for something if they don't know. Ok not to my eye glasses, I end up only ordering lenses for a pair of flames I already had. They ordered the glasses I called 2 weeks after and then a couple days later someone called and said my lenses were in but they didn't have the blue light protection but if I wanted I could come down and have the lenses put in my frames until the new ones came in. I said sure if ill do that, I went down and come to find out the lenses that they ordered won't even fit my glasses. So they had to reorder the lenses again, two more weeks went by and I called they lady on the phone told me they just ordered the lenses yesterday. She said it would be at least two weeks, Let just say I wasn't polite and hung up! I was leaving to go out of town in a week and still have no glasses to be able to read. I wrote an email on the MyEyeDr Dr website two days later I received a call that my glasses were ready for pickup. I guess you just have to talk to the rite person to get a job done. I have used this location previously to purchase glasses. They were ok and did what they were supposed to do. This year I purchased glasses and went back a few weeks later to have the lenses adjusted. The technician who waited on me did notice the progressive area was too high, she re-measured me and entered information into the computer. She then advised the new lenses would be back in 2 wks. I had to call to see when they would be in and was told there wasn't an order for new lenses. Even though I had to go through the ordering process again, I still don't understand what happen and of course they weren't being forth coming. I cannot stand this office. Im not sure i trust the business as a whole. Two and a half years ago i made an appointment at this location as i was new to the area. I have been to other locations and had no problems. When i went for my appointment years ago i pulled into the parking lot. All spaces were filled. I pulled out, turned right onto the highway, drove to the next light. I made a u-turn, drove to the first light and made another u-turn. I pulled into the wawa that sits next to the eye place. I am handicapped and i use a walker. I went to the building, entered and proceeded to check in. I was told i was late and could not be seen. I left furious. I began getting emails saying i needed to reschedule. What? I would never ever return to that office. I got a call from customer relations. Long story short i agreed to go to another location. I was given a coupon. I dont remember for how much--maybe $40 toward my next visit. My insurance allows a pair of glasses every two years I scheduled an appointment 18 months ago. I guess i forgot not to go to this office. Eye dr was great. Sat to get glasses. The lady took me to the eyeglasses to show me which ones i could choose from. Picked a pair and was told theyd be ready in about two weeks. Oh and let me say that nothing could be found about any ol coupon. Three weeks went by. No glasses. I called to inquire and was told i picked a pair of frames not covered. Oh. When would i be told such a thing? I went back to the store, i asked if any child frames were available- the look i got made me just let the lady take me and again, show me which frames i had to pick from. I left the store empty handed. I contacted the lady from customer care. She again sent me to a third center after i threatened to call my plan n complain. She found the coupon too. I explained i had meant to purchase the insurance. We agreed to exchange the mysterious coupon for free insurance. I got an email two weeks later that my glasses were ready to be picked up I went to the office where i had picked out the glasses. No go. Was sent back to the torture store. Picked up the glasses and bolted (as fast as the walker would bolt...) 60 days later, my grandbaby got ahold of my glasses and broke the arm. I called to use my insurance. Guess what? No insurance and oh that employee no longer works here. I have been with a one armed pair of glasses now for 10 months. I called and spoke with a different agent who looked everything over and told me that she could see was what happened and she was sure l could replace the glasses. She promised to call back. A month later i called again n was told someone would call me back. No call. I will NEVER be caught alive or dead in that office again. I will be notifying my insurance carrier. read more

The attitude of this office is casual indifference. I lost one contact, an assuming it was my fault I ordered a replacement. The same problems with this new lens were the same as before. I scheduled an appointment and was told the lens was the wrong fit and a replacement was ordered. Over 30 days later no lens. when I asked for a refund, the manager said I had had the lens too long and no refund was allowed. Since both lenses were the wrong fit from the very beginning, I believe I should have a refund for both lenses. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

We have been going here for several years and I just called to schedule my family's appointments and they will no longer take more than two family members per day!! This is unacceptable! All six of us have always gone in together so we knock it out at the same time. We're going elsewhere because our time is too precious to schedule three separate exam days! Ordered a pair of glasses and it took over five weeks to receive. After four weeks and not hearing from them, I initiated a phone call. After their review I was told the glasses would be in the following week. When I didn't receive notification from them, I initiated another phone call to them. I was told that a manager would be contacting me with a status on Monday. I waited until Wednesday and still didn't receive a call back from a manager. When I called again, I was told the glasses had just been received. After picking the glasses up, I then received a text message the next day that my glasses were in and ready to be picked up when I had already picked them up the day before. I've never been to a more dysfunctional optometrist in my life. They are always short staffed and I'm not sure anyone there knows what they're doing. My initial appointment was for an eye exam and contacts. The front desk was nice enough, the doctor had no people skills at all, but she did her job and it was fine. They didn't have my contact prescription in stock so I was told to just wear what they had and I had to come back in 3-4 weeks to make sure the contacts were laying correctly. Was never told that I had to have them in for a couple hours before the appointment so when I get there I was told I would have to come back. Them being short staffed, I had to go another 2 weeks to be seen again. Ordered my contacts and was told the rebate for my contacts would come in the box, surprise, they did not. Went in and they still couldn't provide a rebate but gave me the website where I could file the claim. Get home and of course I need a number that's on the rebate they should've given me at the office. So I've been on hold for 25min so I can get a number they should've given me to begin with. My husband had an equally frustrating experience with a different doctor. I'd rather pay out of pocket then do this ever again. Run far far away. read more

Staff were rude and not very helpful. They were gossiping and talking badly about patients and colleagues. I waited approx 1/2 hour and had my eyes examined by Dr Guani. She was very nice and knowledgeable. Mary helped me with my selection of glasses. She was very kind, honest with recommendations and patient--Very helpful. I decided to change to another eye doctor and to my pleasure I found Mary and favorite eye doctor from years past, Dr Kasmani, at Target in California. I purchased 2 pairs of glasses in August of 2022. I specifically requested that the lenses be coated with the highest, best quality antiglare scratch resistant coating. The lady who fitted me for glasses assured me that was what was going to be applied. I also paid for a warranty on the glasses. In December of 2023 I began seeing small areas that looked liked spots on the inside of the lenses. Today, Feb 20, 2023 I went to the location I had purchased the glasses from. I spoke with " Diamond" from the staff. She looked at the glasses, agreed the coating was deteriorating. I explained that her staff had assured me hey ordered the highest grade of lens protectant to be applied. She said she would order new lenses, and she would contact me when they came in. About 4 hours later she called me, and said that after talking with her manager, that the warranty had expired, and I would have to purchases new lenses. I reiterated that her employee made the mistake by not ordering the coating I had requested, and she admitted that the employee had made a mistake, but there was nothing she could do about it. she asked me to hold, and she would check again with her manager. A moment later she said they could not replace the lenses, and that I would have to pay for the lenses. I told her that was unacceptable. I was not going to pay 2x for her employees mistake, and that I wanted a copy of my Rx, and would not be purchasing glasses from MyEye Dr. again. I have been a patient/Customer of the same location for many years. Both my wife and I have purchased multiple pairs of glasses from your firm at this location. Customer loyalty and satisfaction means nothing to the people at the California MD location. I will no longer use them for my or my wife's eye glasses. The woman who helped us, didnt offer us contacts that were covered under our insurance. We are supposed to get 2 boxes for $25. We got 4 boxes (6 month supply) because it was explained to us that we would get a $75 rebate. So when we realized what happened, my wife called and asked why we didnt also get the 2 boxes for $25 (which is a discount through insurance) and only got 4 boxes that totaled over $200 out of pocket ($125 if you count rebate). So we got 0 use out of our insurance toward the purchase of contact lenses. The salesperson started making excuses about it, instead of just asking if we wanted to pay the $25 and get the extra two boxes, and eventually my wife got frustrated and wanted a refund. The salesperson started being defensive and laughing and stated no refunds, and then hung up on my wife when my wife got further upset and asked for a manager. I ended up driving to the store, and the salesperson started laughing upon seeing me. The manager eventually offered to refund everything, and the salesperson was still laughing about it, and making snide comments about my attitude. Im pretty sure I have a right to be pissed off that you hung up on my wife and then thought it was funny. I also reported them to their corporate office due to the behavior when I showed up at the office. Telling my wife you feared for your life because I demanded the manager get off the phone and refund everything is laughable at best. I have been to 2 other my eye doc location for exams & services & Never has the issues I've had with this one! this saga began Nov 10 - it is now Jan 2 & I STILL Do Not have my new (paid for) glasses! Ridiculous! It doesn't seem to concern anyone there though - does that mean that poor customer service is the norm there?! The email link below doesn't work - so here's my response - I am so upset about the horrible experience I received at the California MD location. I ordered new glasses on Nov 10th knowing I had plenty of time to get them before I went to Fl - that did not happen at all- twice they were sent back to the lab and I'm in FL with no glasses on Jan 5th ! At no point did a manager get involved until the 5th when I insisted on it. I talked to Riva who verified they were there since Jan 3rd but not put together (?!) I asked that they be overnight by FedEx to me but " NO - we do t have that service" so now it's the 11th & I still don't have my glasses! Bad customer service All the Way around! We have used 2 other myeyedr locations w/o any issues ever -I will never use this place again, though more convenient. I want to know what your customer service is going to do to make this right for me- I spent almost $1000 for these glasses & if they don't arrive today I'm calling my credit card to cancel the payment! I've been going to this location for a few years now. They started off good, however, they have declined. I received my eye exam and purchased a pair of glasses. I tried them several times, and I just couldn't see well at all. I went back and they told me to keep using them and I'd get used to them. Didn't happen. I asked for and received the prescription so that I could get another pair online. They gave me a wrong prescription. The glasses I got online were terrible (walmart.com). I went to the local Walmart and they checked my eyes again. The prescription from Myeyedr was wrong. Wasted my money at Myeyedr and the pair I purchased online at Walmart. I did get another prescription from Walmart and they were perfect. Not even close to the one I received from Myeyedr. read more

Been coming here a long time. Love Dr. Labar at the Prince Frederick office for his straightforward professionalism and friendliness and he is the primary reason I use this business. Office staff is sometimes incompetent and I often feel some sales presure to purchase from these folks but they are accommodating if you need to have frames adjusted or appointments changed with little notice. I have never had any insurance filing issues with them but since my insurance doesn't cover much, I find them expensive and can't seem to get away without feeling like I've spent a fortune. My husband gets the script and orders online because his eyes don't change much so he doesn't need anything special. It's much cheaper that way. read more

Best experience I've ever had at an Eye Doctor. All of the staff is extremely friendly, professional, polite and helpful. The doctor genuinely cares about you as an individual and is extremely thorough in making sure he finds the best solution to your needs. Making appointments were a breeze, and wait times were virtually non existent. Can't speak any more highly about this particular office...and I will continue to visit the California, MD office for every exam and purchase of contacts/glasses in the future. read more
