Online order taking over 8 business days still in transit. Will never order from JCPenney again.

I have been getting my hair done at the salon. I missed a couple of months because of financial difficulties. But I needed my hair done so I found out that the young woman who did my hair was no longer there. So I made an appointment so I went to my appointment and I told the young woman what I wanted done. She said she didn't know how to do it or she couldn't do it. I was shocked. She called on the phone for another stylist and they said they couldn't do it. What I wanted was a pixie cut. And she seemed so nonchalant about it. I was very upset. Real close to where I live and I can walk there. But now I have to find another place to get my hair done because I don't know the vibe just wasn't there. read more

This store has the absolute worst customer service. Please never have any order shipped to this location. I've called on three separate occasions to be told my order had not arrived but clearly had been. The Manager, Erica never returned my call when I reached out to her. The second manager was of no help either. She stated she had no record of my package, it hadn't been placed in a bin and then she said it hadn't arrived because it all didn't come together. It's one picture.... Service Recovery failed. Based of of this experience I will drive past this store and go to another at a greater distance to shop and pick up online orders. Stay AWAY!! You'll be so frustrated. Thank God it's not Christmas. read more

Store itself is clean........restrooms are DISGUSTING... I walked in and walked out, I couldn't breath and it just was gross.

Went to Macy's juniors section, first, and selected a pair of black pants from a rack that advertised 25% off the original price. Their were multiple sizes available on the rack from this particular brand. The cashier informed us that the pants were apparently on the wrong rack and that we would not receive the 25% discount. I informed her that we would not purchase the pants without the discount. She ended the conversation there. Lost sale. We came to JC Penny's and, ironically, experienced the exact same issue except our cashier, Inez on April 9, 2017 at 2:09pm, walked with me to the juniors section to investigate my claims and made the sale. read more

The most incompetent employees I have ever dealt with!!! Placed a online order, received a call about a week later that my order was at the store. Went to the store to pick up my items and the employee had me to sign that I received the items, but couldn't figure out how to ring it up. She kept doing the same thing and nothing worked. I told her i was going to the children's department to pick up my other item and will come back. She gave me my merchandise and i went to get the other things. While I was picking up my other items the sales associates comes up to me and snatches my online order out my hand and says she couldn't figure out how to close out my purchase. I told her well we need a manager because I signed that I received the item and now you're taking it back. This was an older sales associate, no class, no manners seriously she should retire because this was totally unacceptable. The manager came and right away was able to close out my order and told the sale associate what she was doing wrong. I filed a complaint and called the corporate office. If the employees aren't trained to handle all transactions they shouldn't be at the register at all. Fast forward to yesterday - I went back to exchange my online order because my item was too big and replace it with something smaller. Same department, different employee. I explained what i wanted to do and she said no problem. Well instead of doing an exchange like i requested, she returned the item and then tried to reorder it with the size i needed however it wouldn't go thru. Come to find out my the refund wouldn't reflect in my account right away and there was a hold on my store charge card now. She told me i have to wait about 3 days before i see the refund, then i can go online and reorder!!!! I'm so over JCpenny at this point. The entire staff is overwhelmingly incompetent. Save yourself a world of frustration and don't buy anything online and have it sent here. read more

Can i give this JC Penny location negative stars? Horrible customer service !!!! No one knows where anything is !!!! All the cashiers seemed to be more concerned about organizing break times than clearing the ridiculous long lines. I patiently waiting in line and asked about a corporate coupon I recieve time to time from my job. I requested to use it if it wasnt expired . Instead of tbe cashier scanning it to see if it works or not a supervisor was called and I was told it was fake. (Even the supervisor didn't try to scan it.) The supervisor even went as far as to ask where do I work and began dismissing what I was trying to say. I didnt want to argue. I calmly said its ok no worries. Restocked everything I wanted to buy on the shelves and bought nothing. Went to another location where the coupon is valid and works. Poor leadership and poor execution of customer service. read more

I purchased a mattress and box spring and (5) months later the mattress started sinking in the middle. I tried to replace it at the store and was informed that I was passed my 120-Day return policy and I had to contact the JC Penny customer service number to see what they could do. In the meanwhile, I found another mattress that I wanted to replace it with. Contacted customer service and was informed after reviewing my order number that I was sixteen days passed the store warranty and that I had two options, I can purchase a new mattress and box spring, pay the restock and pick-up delivery fee; then they will setup delivery; then credit back the money I had already paid, then setup a delivery date to ship the new purchase. Or I could pay the for the restock and the delivery fee which will cost me $286.88. A solution was not resolved in my favor. The only option I had was to schedule a pickup date and I am left without a bed to sleep in. I asked if she could speak to someone to see if I could pay the difference of another mattress and box spring and that I would pay for the delivery fee. They couldn't help me. I was forced to pay the $286.66 for them to pick up my mattress and box spring, and now left to sleep on an air mattress until I find another mattress and box spring. I was refunded my money, lost money at the same time. I will Not purchase furniture from JC Penny again due to their poor return policy, which the customer will lose at the end. It was easy to take my money, but hard to return it with extra fees. read more

The purchase of a fridge @ JC Penneys in River Oaks Mall was a horrible shopping experience from start to finish. I had to page someone to come to the dept to sell me the fridge. The sales associate messed up the order from the warehouse, wrong color fridge, double charged & now a month later, the freezer door won't stay closed! I called the store & was told to call G.E. myself. Very poor service, I will never buy anything else from Penneys! read more

Everything was clean and staff and management where all VERY HELPFULL in me finding my item I was looking for.

Did you know if you buy a gift card here at jcpenny you can't return it. Because I sure didn't. I called jcpenny customer service and they told me if the manager wanted to do something she would help you out. That's if she wants to. I guess she does not want to. I've had occasion to have to call the store 3 times in the last month. Each time the phone system says "Operator cannot be reached. Disconnecting now." Then you get cut off. I called the number on the JCP website and even the rep could not get anyone at the store. Also, standing in line at the customer service to pick up online orders is horrible. One lady has to run the register and also run to get online orders in the back. Leads to very frustrated customers standing in line waiting a long time. I can only imagine how BAD this is going to be during the holiday shopping season!! On top of that, the smelly sachets that hang right next to the check-out line for customer service is HORRIBLE!! If you have allergies or asthma, it is enough to make you sick. There must be upwards of 50 sachets hanging right there on clip-strips. I don't plan on going back and I don't plan on placing anymore online orders with JCP that would have to be picked up at the store because these sachets are making me sick! I used to love JCP, not anymore. read more
