I misplaced my jc penny card but the cashier's are able to look up your account with your social, telephone number, and email address. On January 7th I purchased items successful with this method. Today January 8th I returned to purchase items and was told I could not without my id (which I forgot at home). I explained that I entered my social security number and validated all required demographics. Tamela was extremely rude and just looked as though she didn't want to be at work. I asked to speak to the manager and "Denise" arrived and said I need to go back home and get my id before she could sell me the items. This is very unfortunate because I am a regular customer of the store and to be treated this way is embarrassing. This store has really gone down hill and do not treat their customers how they use to. read more

Tried to order some Caboodles in Black Friday that were on sale 50% off. All colors were out of stock, so I filled out a notify me when back in stock. I got an email a few days late, but still were out of stock. I was in the area so thought I would stop in the Menomonee Falls store to see if they had some. They had them but were not on sale, I stopped Antoine to see if by chance I could get it at the Black Friday price. He went above and beyond helping me, with having the email with the web id number, he was able to honor the price! Denise in jewelry rang me up, and was able to save me an additional $11 due to being a rewards customer. Going to have 4 happy girls on Christmas! read more

I appreciate the selection and quality of JC Penneys. The Crossroads Store is convenient. With a few exceptions, the customer service stinks! My experience today prompted me to write this review. The lines were long because of a $10.00 coupon given at the door. I knew what I wanted and proceeded to the register at the rear of the store with my purchase. When it was my turn, I was told I had to wait because the associate had to fill out a defective slip for a catalog return from a customer that had already left. So, she found her form and started filling it out. While I was waiting, I asked if I would be able to use my $10.00 coupon along with the $10 off of $25.00. She said,"Yes." Actually, she said, "Mm,hmm" and continued to fill out her form. the reason I asked is because I'm recovering from foot surgery and I'm using a cane/or crutches. I can't stand on my foot for extended lengths of time and I would have gotten out of line if I couldn't use the combined coupons. I came into the store knowing exactly what I wanted to buy. When she was done, she rang up one of items and the price was incorrect. I pointed out the sign on her register indicating the correct price and the other associate told her to ring up an adjustment. She took a deep sigh, stated that this would be a long day and reluctantly rang it up correctly. When it came to the coupons, she said I couldn't use both. I reminded her that she just told me I could use both. She told me that she was filling out a form for some defective jeans that had to be immediately completed when I asked her. In other words, I shouldn't have asked a question when she was doing something she considered to be more important than the customer standing in front of her with "cash in hand." The lady next to me was trying to buy an expensive Christmas tree that was apparently out of stock and needed to be ordered. Her associate needed to answer the phone and help the phone customer during the middle of the transaction before finishing with her. That associate kept talking over the customer next to me. That customer ultimately walked out in disgust because she didn't feel that she should have to pay $19.99 to have the tree delivered to the store for her to pick up. I don't blame her. Bottom line....... the lines are long, service is slow, and the associates can be rude. The associates should be grateful that they work there. Many other employers would "fire" them. The customers in your line come first! If you don't like your job, find a different one that isn't in the customer service field! read more

I had a nothing but nice experiences here. To me, the store always seems neat and clean. Easy to navigate and easy to find what I'm looking for. While people are falling out the door of the crappy Kohl's across the street, I was able to score some sweet deals on the exact same tee's and adidas pants. And cheaper! Than Kohl's? I'm not kidding! Today I found a pair of Clarks slippers for my husband for $25.00. Good deal for some awesome slippers. A store that still has slippers this time of year is a-ok in my book. There was also a very pleasant lady working in the department I was looking in - she even offered to get me a cart while I was looking. That's just plain nice. With their new "lower prices - all the time" plan in place, I do plan to frequent this store more now. With the same items at Kohl's, but for much less, it just makes sense. read more

In recent years, it seems like the only place you could find a J.C. Penny's store was in a shopping mall. In years past, a J.C. Penny's store was a staple of a downtown area in smaller cities, too. With the decline of the mega mall and the growth in big box stores and shopping areas that harken back to the days of a downtown, it stands to reason that smaller shopping centers might also be making a comeback. This JCPenny store is located in the Crossroads Shopping Center, on County Line Road between Menomonee Falls and Germantown, in the heart of a developing retail area. JCPenny is the major anchor here, A new Pick 'n' Save is the other. The center recently had a major facelift It is located within a circle of familiar big box stores. You'd have to know this building started out as a gray, cinder block discount store that resembled a prison. The building has been extensively remodeled, besides a major facelift, the entire interior has been redone. If someone dropped you in the middle of a department store and asked where you were, you might not be able to guess. You'd know here, because this store is uniquely JCPenny. There are attractive displays throughout the store and there are several store-within-a-store kiosks. There are several checkout registers and JCPenny does it right - there is one line for shoppers, and the first in line steps to the first available register. The store has a large parking lot that is easy to get to, just west of US 41-45, Turn left at the Culver's. read more

Every time I go to this store the the check out line is long. They never have enough help. The last time I went(6/1) I brought back some catalog items. I stood in the lengthy line only to learn I should have gone to the back of the store to catalog. The woman was kind enough to do the return anyway with a reminder for the next time. In my opinion it is not an advantage to go to another area for a return. I'm sure the placement for catalog is an advantage for the store but the reason for online purchase is two-fold: 1) I can't find the item in the store 2)I don't want to waste time wondering in the store. If you had the convenience of free returns I wouldn't visit the store at all. read more

For men, JC Penney is rock solid foundation of the neat casual, office casual and dressy casual. Staffrod, St John's Bay lines, are super reliable quality, except the Stafford dress shirts, always and historically a very good value, the stitching for the pockets needs to be a little better. But they served me well in college sizes and now I'm big so, and they are still serving me well. The boxy shopping cart retailers carry either limited selection, or poor quality. The online massive retailers, who knows what the texture and fit and finish will be really be like. Igo higher end on some things like shoes and belts, but, smart responsibly value conscious neat people shop JC Penney. In September 2019 I was wowed by how good the Warwick RI store looked. I do not usually use JCPenney for kitchen items. But this time I thought I'd try. I placed my order and by mistake hit "send" for the item to be sent to a family member (instead of me). By the time I talked to someone my five minutes were up and they said they could not cancel, they could not do anything. My family member would have to send it back (on HER time). I've had a love hate relationship with Jcp for a long time. I will say the last few times I have shopped in the store I was able to find thing I could not find anywhere else. I also have experienced much better customer service than in the past (they are notorious for the worst customer service). I hope they realize their past mistakes and keep on keeping on. I would love for them to succeed and give Kohls some competition. I love Kohls but noticed their products are getting cheaper and cheaper, Jcp has much better quality when it comes to clothing! read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I would give the store/company a "0" rating if it was an option. I haven't been to JCP in a long time, but this time I gave it a chance since I needed shorts for my baby boy for a vacation in December and they were one of the stores that still had inventory of them online. Note to self, never go back. JCPenney should not advertise Buy Online and Pick Up in Store if they don't know how the heck it works or how to resolve the issues that come with it. I placed an order on 10/7 and the order was supposed to be available for pick up by 10/16. I never received an email that the order was ready for pick up so I started calling JCP.com and they told me that 4 out of my 5 items are at the store. I can go ahead and pick up the 4 items now. I do not live near this store, nor do I want to make two trips to that store. When I started questioning where the 5th item is, nobody could tell me. JCP.com told me to call the store, the store told me they didn't have ANY part of my order. I'm going back and forth between JCP.com phone calls, customer service chat, and talking to the associates at the store. NOBODY knows where my order is. I was getting frustrated and fed up and nobody that worked there seemed to care. I wanted to cancel the order and return everything, since they had charged me when I placed the order. JCP.com said they could not do that because majority of the items are at the store already. This whole time the store is telling me they don't have my order, I am SOL. I go to the store to get some face-to-face interaction and again the store associate says they do not have my order....the associate starts talking to her counterpart and that associate said that she did see my name on some orders from earlier that day, however, their computer system says my order is not in the store. I'm anxiously awaiting for the 4 items and the first bag they opened up is NOT my item. I ordered a navy pair of Carter shorts for my infant son, what arrived to the store was a navy pair of Van Heusen shorts for an adult man. The good news is that my other 3 items were correct, but I am still missing the 5th item from my order that nobody knows where it is. The original associate that told me my order wasn't at the store now had a change in attitude from being irritated with me to being friendly. She said she was new and so were a lot of people on her team and the whole buy online, reserve in store option is new to them, so they were all going through learnings and she is going to take it upon herself to resolve this issue. I thought FINALLY, someone is going to fix this stupid problem. I had to cut the conversation short (it was already 30min in) since I was on lunch and the associate was trying to figure out how to do a return on the adult pair of shorts, but didn't know how since it was a different process for Buy Online Reserve in Store and she was going to find out. She was also going to return my 5th item back to me. She gave me the store's phone number and her name to call her and follow up later in the day. I walked away feeling less angry and somewhat relieved that they found my order since they had already charged me. I called the store back later and the phone just kept ringing, NOBODY answered the store phone....well this is a first...I tried calling back 2 days later and the associate did return my shorts, I saw the credit go back on my credit card. For the 5th item that nobody knew where it is, she was supposed to refund it onto store credit and order it and express ship it to my house, she instead just put it on store credit and said she sent it to my house 7 days ago. I have yet to receive it and she was mailing it from her store to my house which is in the same city. Who knows if I will ever receive the store credit, but this was a learning. I've been so irritated with this whole incident, I tried to get my compliant out in social media and it went to a black hole on FB, so this is my next resort. Some suggestions for the company: 1) Do not charge the customer until the items are picked up, so there is less hassle 2) Train associates and management on Buy Online, Reserve in Store process!! 3) Have better customer service - store manager should have really stepped in here 4) Answer the phones at the store This is a prime example of why the company is going to $hit read more

I love this JCP! It is laid out a little different but the variety is so much better that the Brookfield store. Employees are more visible , available, and helpful. The prices are great, esp if you grab the flyer on the way in if I forget, they have scanned one in for me. I go out of my way to one to this JCP. read more

I have had nothing but good experiences at JCPenney. The customers service was fantastic! I had a young associate by the name of Crystal actually SHOW me where I could find a type of shirt I needed. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she showed me to three different locations where I could find them! She wasn't impatient and actually asked me questions and gave me a handful of clothes to try. I not only left with a couple shirts but even a pair of shoes! I also had a lady named Candace help me find something for my son who is extremely hard to shop for! She was very friendly and didn't seem to mind all the questions I asked her! Every time I saw an associate they said hi and asked if I needed anything. I have never had such great service. The only thing I wish was different was that they would add more check out lines, otherwise I would recommend this store to everyone! read more

Tried calling 13 times to see if a pair of pants were in stock. Finally someone answered, transferred me, but I waited 10 minutes and no one in the Men's Suits Department was there to take the call. The only reason I would even go to JCPENNY is because they're the only place to get this particular pair of pants. With terrible service like this it shouldn't be much longer until JCP goes bankrupt. read more

My daughter and I went into the JCPenney store to purchase carry on luggage. We looked for help, when we found 2 people, we asked for help, they looked at us and both sales associates walked away, and found another person to help (both of them together). We finally found someone to help, he was very nice, but didn't have knowledge of the product, he found some to come to the luggage department. He couldn't find the luggage that was advertised in the sales flyer. We did find a different piece (on our own) to purchase. When we went to the check out at the front of the store, in the middle of our transaction, our cashier walked away from the register to take care of a hysterical store employee that was crying and screaming, a total of 3 cashiers felt the need to talk to this girl. The manager came up, was very confused as to what was going on, he walked in front of our register, didn't say anything and left to go to another register. My daughter and I had to keep asking for our receipt so we could get out of the store. The manager should have taken that hysterical store employee to the office or outside to calm down, there was no reason that 3 cashiers needed to handle this and leave a long line of paying customers with the confused manager that clearly was not familiar with being a cashier. That was the worst customer service I have ever experienced throughout the entire store. read more

Portrait Studio is horrible. Definitely wont make the mistake of going there again and spending so much money. Photos come out blurry and the photographer said it's probably just the computer that's making it look blurry. No, its probably just because they let inexperience people take your photos and the quality of the camera they use. read more

I went to the salon for my first time and had Sally the manager cut my hair. She did a fine job, but I realized I needed more layers added after working to style my hair for 1 week. When I called to schedule a recut with Sally they told me she was on vacation and I needed to see Rachel. I returned for a recut with Rachel who stated she had 8 years experience and she proceeded to hack my hair off giving so many layers along the top, but not blending with longer layers and now I have a mullet. Then Sally walks by, who wasn't supposed to be there, and seemed to have some bad attitude toward me as I needed to return for a recut. Then after discussing recut with Sally in front of Rachel, Rachel ends up charging me full price for a recut. Had to talk with Glenn the store manager for a refund. Very poor customer service, poor skills of second stylist and poor attitude from salon manager. I will not be going back and I hope they read and learn from this review. read more
