First thing you need to understand is that Fishers has sold their only remaining optical to a…read morenationwide company that buys out private practices. They are selling off their stores due to competition and this was the only remaining optical location. We have purchased glasses at Fishers for over 40 years. While they will give you a copy of your prescription, they won't give you your PD, a 20 sec measurement you need to get glasses. Their reasoning is if you don't buy there, you don't get the measurement. When asked to put the measurement on the prescription, the optometrist himself said "I have never done that in 40 years". Since I don't want to pay (again) $400 or more for new glasses, I found an APP that does the PD measurement using your phone camera. Problem solved and now I can save $250 bucks by buying online.

So the following year when I went in for my contacts exam, I was surprised that he didn't even mention the eye map test or macular degeneration at all. I asked the woman at the desk for a copy of my exam records and she told me no. She flat out refused to let me see any of my own exam records! Pearle Vision is a sham! They also were high pressure about selling glasses when I was only there for contacts. I will no longer be going there. Also after that, I went to a different eye specialist for a second opinion, and was told I didn't have any macular degeneration at all, which was such a relief! I really don't recommend Dr. Amundson at all.

The frame selection at the small and cramped Canton office was very limited and outdated. We received an exam only which was covered 100% through a work benefit, and we declined to purchase any frames. We later discovered the office billed our vision insurance as well, causing an unnecessary delay when we went to a different provider. It took several phone calls to my insurance provider to finally get their claim released because their billing office didn't do so willingly. We do not recommend!
