A shout- out to ASHLEE who made my day extra special by going overboard to help me get to the right person with an order issue I had. She is so cheerful herself and she will shower the sweetest compliments that will cheer u up as well. There is a little area where u can do a quick catch up on ur laptop, or charge your phones, or even get a drink from the vending machine. If this has been around since long then I have been too self involved to notice it..... Armed with everything I had in mind, I walked out with the biggest smile. Macy's is a great store if you're from a past generation and have older traditional values. These days they seem republican and antiquated and their prices are high and they're not moving things into the future at the same pace as the likes of JC Penney, which aren't themselves the most amazing, but at least they're getting some things more right than Macy's. This particular location is the first ever discounted Macy's in Houston, think the Macy's equivalent of Nordstrom Rack or something like that, maybe Saks Off Broadway. So you'll find much better deals here than at the regular Macy's, and that's why I gave them three stars. It's good to have this chain in Houston, but as Barbie will attest, the clothes for women are not the greatest, and even with all the discounts, they're still not cheap enough to tempt us to buy them.

Much of the clothing had zero personality as if they were shooting for the lowest common denominator...kind of like what you would have seen at The Limited, but even The Limited was a bit more stylish. I did find a cool dress here; hence, 2 stars instead of 1, but I would most likely not return here. I didn't like how the store was organized, and thought the sizing was off. And as an accessories person, I wasn't inspired by what I saw here. One positive: the cashier was very friendly and professional. 2/5: Take a chance and decide for yourself, but I cannot recommend this place.

It turned out that all the "new" items were at the vendor booth at Pearland Town Center Winter Market so the cashier offered to call the lady at the booth and asked to hold the jacket for me. When I got there, like an hour later, they still had it waiting for me. Great customer service!! The store has the cutest stuff and the best part is that they keep their website up to date so you can always check on availability. I'm definitely going to be a regular here.

Store itself is fine, employees are rude. I was wearing Lauren Conrad shoes from another Kohl's and went to look for a pair in another color. Didn't find was I was looking for, so I left. As I was leaving, an employee stopped me and accused me of stealing the shoes I was wearing. I explained that I had bought them at a different store and was looking for another color. She said "oh, yeah, sure." Clearly not believing me, and walked off. Cashier held her hands up like she didn't want to get in the middle. No apology. If you think I stole, call security. I wish I had thought to show her the bottoms of my shoes, which are dirty from wear. I will never shop in this Kohls again. I am a long time customer, and my mother, who bought me the shoes, has been a Kohl's card member for 20 years. Teach your employees how to act and how to handle possible shoplifters. At the least, I expected an apology.

My particular issue with this store happened today when I came in for a JanSport backpack. I saw it online on sale for $53.60 from $67. There was 1 left in stock. Since I was out and about, I stopped in and found it. Because they TOOK AWAY ALL THE CUSTOMER PRICE SCANNERS, I asked a worker to verify the sale price with her price scanner. It came up $67. I pulled up the online page to show her it was on sale and she says "Oh, that price is ONLY if you order online for pick up." So I go to the online pick up desk and ask the lady if they would price match it and allow me to buy it right then, NOPE. Store policy: they WON'T price match in-store their own online price. Then I asked if I purchased it for online pickup right then and it's already AT the pick-up desk, if I could then pick it up... (hey, less work for a worker since I already FOUND the product.) NOPE. It would have to go through some mystical process that could take awhile. Frustrated, I quickly looked at Target (same plaza) online and saw they had the same backpack available for $53 and I could get it right then and there so I told her I would go there instead. IS IT JUST ME OR IS LOWER ONLINE PRICING SEEM BACKWARDS?!? Like, buying stuff online results in workers having to go find items for you. Then, you're only buying those items VERSUS going into a store for the item and then seeing other items you want and buying MORE and spending MORE as a result. So sad I "gave up" $10 in Kohl's cash by buying my item at Target... wouldn't want to spend even more money in this place anyways. So this situation solidified my hatred of Kohl's even more. I honestly don't see myself stepping foot in one ever again. I'll spend our hard earned money anyplace else.

I finally made the time to drop off a few of my X's gifts that I wanted out of my house. A name brand purse was involved. Besides some name brand perfume and a dress from Shein, the experiment was small. I was expecting at least $50 for the haul, but haha - $18 was my takeaway. I at least have to applaud them processing the haul prior to the estimated time. I was in the parking lot managing my next stop when I received a text that my offer was ready. I was told the offer is computerized and not left up to the store members. I really didn't care - it was a gift that I didn't want in my house anymore, so the $18 was more than I was getting with it collecting dust. You may say just donate it, but clothing accessory donations have not yielded me any tax breaks over the years, so I gladly took my 18 bucks and will buy groceries for the church food bank. Additionally, the Shein dress (that by the way had never been worn and had the tags on it) as well as barely used perfume was not accepted items. They offered to donate the dress to Goodwill, and I gave the perfume to the young lady who was working the hauls. Again, I didn't want the items in my house anymore, so my goal was accomplished. Now, if it had been my own stuff I paid money for, I probably would have taken those items back and found someone to buy them or put them under consignment. However, since it was no cost to me, the experiment was just okay for me. I know they'll make way more than $18 off that name brand purse, but that's the trade-off for same day cash back for selling items. Overall, I'm sure this is a great resource for people who need cash right away, but I'm never in that kind of bind to just give my stuff away, which you are almost doing at Plato's. As far as the selection of clothes to buy, I didn't check. It was way too crowded for my taste with bunches of racks. Since I'm not a shopper most days, I wasn't moved to look either. Maybe one day soon, I'll choose to do so and give an overall review of this place, but for now, you have insight on being a seller at Plato's in case you're interested.

When asked if I could roll it around, I was told "no because we would have to pick it up". Then I asked for assistance to help lift it until the counter and was told "if you can pick it up yourself, then we can't go through it". However, it took two of them to go through the luggage but no help?! It just makes me feel sorry for those who are actually handicapped or needed extra assistance due to the lack of physical capability. Plus the counter is entirely too high for most. I worked at Plato's closet before and never remember ever telling a customer that or at least not lend a helping hand. Just want the consideration for everyone's well being on BOTH sides.

The workers here were WONDERFUL. After selecting the dress in my size, one of the girls started a fitting room for me. I found a few other pieces to try on but decided on just the dress. Francesca's is all fancy with the bagging too. They wrap your item in tissue paper which makes the purchase feel extra special. The selection here is small but I would assume it changes frequently. I'll be back to check it out again!

I want to like this store, but the employee's need to be friendlier. They have new red carts which they're very protective over- I understand. BUT that doesn't mean that you can literally yell at a customer to tell them to leave the cart inside. This wasn't even a reminder. She could have walked over and told me in a normal voice, or even when I was right next to her. Instead she waited until I was 15 feet away and yelled. Another yelled for me to move my cart so that a customer could go through. Again, could have told me in a normal voice. NO NEED TO YELL and no need to be rude. Especially when I just bought a ton of stuff. Also, their registers need to be in line with their advertised price. read more

After checking their site, I saw a pair of shoes in the sizes I wanted to try available here, so I made the effort to drive on over. I knew what department to head to after seeing a directory and once I approached the area, I saw a woman behind the counter talking to a younger guy (late teens, early 20's) about non-work related stuff (concert tickets). I wasn't aware if he worked there or not but it took me a moment to get her attention. Once I did, she kind of looked me over and went to check stock in the back. She brought out a couple pairs, different colors, in one size although I requested two different sizes. She practically argued with me, saying these would fit, they run large, etc. so I shut it and just tried them on since I really wanted the shoes. I will say she was right, and they fit perfectly (I was running around all day so I wanted to wait after I was active for an accurate fit). She somewhat relaxed and I decided to look at a couple other styles of shoes of the same brand. She then asked if she could ring me up and I let her know I was going to continue shopping and if she could hold them for me. This is where her attitude changed back to the negative. Right then, I decided I was definitely not buying them from her. Shame since other associates seemed to return from break at this time who I feel I would have been pleasant to shop with but at this point, it was too late. Thankfully I found the shoes at another company where the service was on-point, and even though they don't make commission there, I was glad to give another business a sale. Even in a place such as Texas, Nordstrom still manages to fail in customer service (regardless of the department).
