No of us wanted to be there, Kids wanted to be playing, Uncles drinking, but grandma wanted her family picture. So we showed up begrudgingly but thanks to Maureen, we had a great time and by the time it was over. None of us wanted it to end and we all felt like professional models.

I needed a professional portrait for work, and JCP had the best pricing ($69 plus $10 sitting fee)…read moreof all the places I checked. I looked at other walk-in/mall portrait studios as well as private photographers. With the JCP deal, I was able to select 3 high resolution digital images that I could download and save (there's a less expensive option where you select one digital image to save). This meant not only being able to use it for the announcement for an upcoming speaking engagement, but I have also uploaded the photo to the directory at work and am able to use it for other things as well. I can even have a print made for my mom! There's an easy on-line reservation system. The day I went, I called because there were no slots open, but they squeezed me in between other shoots within an hour. The woman who took the photos was super friendly and conscientious of the fact that I didn't want a bunch of photos with a double chin. She took the photos slightly angled from above, which meant no double chin and I look a little thinner. We took most of the shots with a dark background but also switched to white so I'd have some variety. I was quite pleased with the experience. I was in and out of the studio quickly, able to select my three favorite photos after perusing the entire selection (she probably took a dozen photos of me) on a large monitor they have. Within an hour, my top three photos were available for download at high resolution size, and all my photos were available to see on the JCP website. I highly recommend.

It would have been nice to hear some input instead of just clicking through the pictures quickly. Once it came to check out I only ended up choosing one picture and was told it would be available for download that day or the next day. After 24 hours I called since I never received the link and they said it could take up to 48 hours. After 48 hours I called back and they said they don't know why the link hadn't shown up but would send it out again. The link that they sent didn't have my downloaded picture so I had to call the studio again. They told me that they couldn't send me the picture and that it could take another 24 hours. I asked for customer services number and after talking to them they were able to get me the picture right away. It should not be that hard to gain access and send the picture to somebody, especially when they need the pictures within certain time frames and for the cost of one picture.

We had a few travel and medical schedules that caused a reschedule, but he was very considerate and understanding when we spoke a few weeks ahead of time.
