I have a suppressor in NFA jail and they use silencer shop which is horrible. For context if you've never bought NFA items in the past and your only experience is Silencer shop, then you just don't know how horrible they are compared to shops who do everything on their own. Anyways it had been about a month and a half since my suppressor had arrived there and I logged onto my S Shop acct to see the status and Alpha Defense had had the process for over 2 weeks in their pending status. So I called to verify and they were like oh yeah! So I e-signed my docs and process now back to S Shop... fast forward a few weeks I went into the physical shop to find out what the deal was and why i wasn't notified and the best answer I got was it slipped through the cracks and oops. I was having a normal conversation asking why they use S Shop and if they thought about doing everything in house like most other shops who care about their name/brand/customers and the kid behind the counter who I dunno if he is a manager, owners son, or just a shop minion became visibly agitated and made several comments to me not knowing anything about me, which isn't remotely ok on any level. I get you love what you do and that you think being behind the counter makes you omniscient, but it doesn't. Sad to say because of this encounter after my last 2 suppressors are transferred I won't be returning and I recommend no one else does either. Judging from the conversation I was trying to have with the NFA kid, he doesn't care if S Shop ruins their NFA business or not. My advice is find a shop that does the NFA process in house aka not using Silencer Shop and since the NFA kid at alpha defense clearly doesn't care how Silencer Shop treats its mutual customers find another gun shop altogether.

Her safety away at college pushed us to sign up, and what a difference it has made for all of us in different ways! John and his team will help strengthen skills like problem solving under pressure, being aware, being authoritative, identifying and evaluating threats, protecting and defending yourself and others, and so much more! I had not trained in martial arts or any fighting system, so I came in as a total novice. Several years ago, I took a 90-minute women's self-defense class at another facility. Coming here, I realized self-defense is a lot more extensive than I thought (i.e. defending from a knife from the front versus behind, defending a side choke hold versus a straight punch, performing a gun disarm from the chest versus from the back, etc). This system teaches self-defense in dozens of different situations, so you feel empowered to handle different circumstances--including single and multiple attackers. This isn't a one-and-done type of training; you will learn so much, and the more you come, the more it will become second nature so you can learn to handle dynamic situations efficiently and safely. John and his team made me and my family feel very welcome from the start, and we quickly felt like family at the facility. The team is very generous with their time and patience to ensure students are absorbing the training by adjusting instruction in terms you can relate to. John constantly asks for feedback--further showing how much they genuinely care. His other instructors (like Sam, the Muay Thai Boxer and Jempy) attend other classes outside of their own, so they share their expertise across classes. You go at your own pace, so you go to as many or as few classes as you want. There are plenty of classes to choose from! It is also great how the fitness classes are complementary to the type of self-defense and combat training being taught at the facility. Shout out to Tyrone (boxing instructor) for his awesome Combat Fitness class! Lastly, we have been impressed with how many students have been training with John and his team for 5+ years, plus how many families attend. That speaks volumes! On top of that, other students who have been there a while are very nice to help and encourage newcomers like me. It is a strong family atmosphere. Try them out!

When I called to speak with the attorney, I spoke with "Kathy," who was the most unprofessional individual I'd ever had the displeasure of speaking with. She literally read from a script (making note that the attorney would be out and delayed for the holidays) and didn't acknowledge any question I presented her - only repeating what was apparently either on her screen or written in front of her. When I asked her name and to verify that I was indeed calling the right number, she rudely responded. She made note that she was just relaying the information in front of her. I'm not sure what to make of that, except that it's very off-putting and not appealing to me as a potential client. For that reason, I'll seek another attorney.

She loves school more than anything, to have your child beg to go to school, happy every morning is priceless. She grew to be a confident and kind girl and I am positive the school had an immense impact on this. I always felt heard, communication with leadership as well as teachers have been amazing. Then, were so impressed with their handling of the pandemic in 2020 (we experienced no "covid learning loss"), it was an easy decision to stay on for the primary grades. And we have not been disappointed! We continue to have truly great teachers, that you can actually interact with every day at drop off and pickup and build relationships with them. I highly encourage anyone who is interested to schedule a tour or go to one of the open houses. Not only is it a charming environment, you will be amazed at how much more they manage to cover than just the basics. There is a focus on fine arts and performances, which are so great for confidence building. But they also get into robotics, go on cool field trips, and seem to have more fun events and activities than you might get in public school. The summer camp sessions are great, too! We'll be very sad to move on after 4th grade!

They have a very limited parking on site so most likely you have to park on the street near by but you have to watch out where you park as some part of the street is no parking allowed.

My teacher, Cecilia, is fantastic! She is very knowledgeable and understands the difficulties English speakers have. Also she knows where each student is at and asks questions designed to allow us to practice what we know and learn some new vocabulary. She is very good at understanding what we want to say and helping us say it in French. I have heard from other students that the other teachers are the same. The immersion method used is a little tough at first, but you get used to it and it is really effective. Also the other students in my class are great. We always have fun in class and the time flies. The class prices are reasonable, actually a good deal for such small groups. After having taken classes here, I don't think I will ever go back to a college or university for lessons. If you want to learn French, I definitely recommend the Alliance Francaise!

Chef Chris and Chef Liz are very kind and professional. They genuinely like and care about the children they're teaching. The chef instructors pay attention to each child to ensure they understand the lessons. Safety is emphasized, and there's lots of hand washing. They also offer fun workshops, such as cupcake decorating. My granddaughter is learning a valuable life skill while building confidence in her ability. In addition to desserts, appetizers, and chicken dishes, they made sourdough bread (from their own starters) and homemade pasta. As an added bonus, her palate has expanded and she is much more willing to try new dishes. At home, now, I am sometimes her sous chef! I highly recommend this school!
