This was the 2nd pistol marksmanship class that I have taken. David's class was far and away…read moresuperior to the 1st class. His ability to diagnose what you are doing wrong, and then correct it is what stands out in my mind. As an example, early on in the class I was dropping the front of the pistol in anticipation of trying to see what I had hit on the shot. He tried to correct me verbally, but I was not getting it. So, he got out his phone, videoed me while shooting, then played the video back to me. I was able to see what I was doing wrong, and correct. At another point in the class, I was not focusing correctly on the front site when pressing the trigger, and again, I was not getting the verbal correction. David pulled out a photo of a page with three images. 1st image was the rear site in focus, with the front and target blurred. 2nd was the rear and front blurred, with the target in focus. 3rd had the rear site and target blurred, with the front site in focus. I got it. David knows what he is doing, and is an excellent instructor.

Prior to going into the course, Chris provides all the information on how to get started and how to make it go smoother. CLASSROOM: The instructional portion was about 4 hours, we mainly cover gun laws regarding licensed carry as well as some general firearm safety. Following the instruction was a written exam. Chris does an amazing job education his students (There is no need to fear to fail) RANGE: The range is where we are assessed based on our shooting proficiency. However Chris emphasizes on his students understanding the safety and handling when it comes to fire arms. Shooting a fire arm can be scary at first for those individuals who have no experience but no worries, Chris is a just as good as building your confidence and assuring you as he is an instructor. Some final thoughts and why to consider this course: Chris is exceptional with communication. He is prompt on returning and sending detailed emails regarding any questions. He is knowledgeable and has vast experience with fire arms. And finally, he is just a good guy who wants the world to be safer.

I like this place. I keep having to go here for the identity stuff for my work licenses, but the…read morestaff is always so friendly and not at all phased by the odd hodge podge of people that come here. They have everything you need ammunition/weapon wise from what I can tell and I appreciate that I can come back here to go shooting. And I probably should, once I'm not longer a scardy cat, but I like that you can't tell if they are shooting, because it's like impossible that I have gone there when no one is practicing. The place is quiet, cold, clean, and just a gun club. Google maps will sometimes try to send you a building up or down, so be aware. Otherwise, a nice little venue that is kind to anyone who happens to wander in no matter what the reason is when you visit.
