I understand that things happen, and things can easily happen in a renovation or construction project. That's why you want someone like Matt and his team working on your project. They've seen everything and handle whatever comes up, even mean folks leaving questionable negativity. If you have a construction or remodeling project, just hire Construction Corps, you won't regret it.

The biggest red flag when working with a contractor is needing an attorney just to get answers…read more The owner continues to claim my project stopped because I lacked funds. My experience was different. The project stopped after I refused to pay additional charges for plumbing work that I had fully disclosed before signing the contract, including photos, videos, and a plumbing inspection showing full pipe replacement was needed. I was told this work was included in the original quote. More than six months after my attorney requested documentation, I still have not received a clear accounting of completed work, supporting cost documentation, or a return of funds. Based on the work I can verify was not completed, I believe more than $20,000 remains unaccounted for. I have repeatedly been told that because the project was bid as a whole rather than by line item, there is no need to explain specific charges or provide proof of completed work. Meanwhile, my home remains unfinished with a large hole in the structure and no completed plumbing work visible. Transparency, accountability, and communication matter. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

The a/c was not part of the project but before they started the 16y/o system went out. I reached out to Shimi late Friday and he had people come out and assess the problem and it was replaced on Saturday. Amazing!!! The rest of the scheduled project was equally successful. They showed up when they were suppose to and Shimi was always available. I've never had such a positive experience with any contractor. Highly recommend Premier and Shimi.

They made the process so easy from start to finish, including completing the drawings in a timely manner, quickly obtaining permitting and moving through each step of construction with little to no delays. Other companies seemed scared to work with our 100 year old bungalow and estimated the build would be around 9 months. They had ours completed in 3 months flat. The addition is everything and more than we dreamed of and we are so happy with it. We are so happy to have went through this process with Premiere Builders. Their workmanship is flawless. Each and every one of their employees is kind, personable, professional and highly skilled. We love this team and will recommend to anyone!

Gary Clark Review Renovations Home Center Review…read moreKAS Construction Review In June 2023, my wife and I hired Gary Clark, owner of Renovations Home Center and KAS Construction in Palm Harbor, for a renovation of our home. Unfortunately, the experience was overwhelmingly negative, and I feel compelled to share it to help others make informed decisions. (Yes, I did online research before commencing this project with Mr. Clark but there were no warning signs of what the future would entail.) Key Issues: High-Pressure Sales Tactics: Gary Clark pressured us into making a $28,208 commitment payment for kitchen cabinets, claiming we had to act immediately to secure a distant construction start date. He hinted at a possible earlier timeline, which later proved to be false. Design and Communication Problems: Gary Clark delegated much of the design work and communications to his young daughter, which led to repeated revisions and delays. The designs often didn't align with what we requested, and I had to repeatedly remind him that this was my house. Adding to the delays, Gary Clark frequently left town for his new business in North Carolina. No Progress Made: By the time Gary Clark terminated the KAS Construction / Renovations Home Center contract via email after I expressed my frustration at the never-ending escalating costs, no tangible progress had been made. There were no permits, no architectural plans, no materials had been ordered, not even his "specialty" of cabinets had been ordered - nothing to show for the months we spent working with him. Broken Refund Promises: When Gary Clark sent a termination of services email stating "at this time I feel we should tear up your contract and I'll refund your deposit." Later he insisted on keeping "some" money for his "time," which ultimately turned out that he wanted to keep nearly all the money. After weeks of negotiation, he agreed to a more reasonable settlement, but I paid to have a formal settlement letter drafted, he refused to sign and reneged once again. Unfulfilled Refund: As of January 2025, we have not received any portion of our $28,208, nor have we received any cabinets or work from Gary Clark, Renovations Home Center, or KAS Construction. Legal and Regulatory Actions: We reported the issue to various regulatory agencies in Pinellas County and the State of Florida. Gary Clark was subsequently investigated for fraud and other potential violations. The Florida State Attorney recently "determined that the facts and circumstances as presented do not warrant prosecution at this time." Advice for Potential Customers: If you are considering hiring Gary Clark, Renovations Home Center, or KAS Construction, I strongly recommend submitting public records requests to relevant agencies. This will provide valuable insights into his track record and help you make an informed decision. Final Thoughts: This experience has been incredibly disappointing. We lost months of time, trust, and $28,208 without seeing any progress. Fortunately the statute of limitations is five years, so we have time to file a civil lawsuit, but that won't erase the horrible experience we had with the construction industry.

Not only was the owner difficult to deal with, but the quality of the work was beyond poor. The owner apparently has difficulty keeping qualified sub-contractor and used more than one on our project that never worked for him in the past. We're still dealing with defective installation of hard wood floors, which were covered in adhesive which we cannot remove. The kitchen cabinet doors are out of alignment, and the his drywall installer was simply incompetent. The plumber forgot to install one of the valves on the shower system and told us we order incorrectly. You would not believe how he corrected the problem. The work site was left trashed at the end of the work day and personal items walked off the job site. If I could give less than one star I would!

I was left very confused so I wrote the following to help understand my position: Thank you for visiting our home and providing a complimentary estimate for the construction of a four-season sunroom. After reviewing the estimate, I found that it does not provide sufficient detail regarding the specific materials, grades, dimensions, and components included in the quoted price. Before proceeding with a binding contract or making any financing arrangements, I would appreciate receiving a detailed, non-binding preliminary proposal that clearly identifies the following: Type and grade of sheet metal Type, thickness, and R-value of the wall and roof insulation Size, material, and load rating of the structural support beams Glass type, thickness, energy rating, and impact or wind-load rating Ceiling material and finished ceiling height Number and placement of recessed ceiling lights Ceiling-fan specifications Number and placement of electrical outlets Exterior-door type and dimensions Exterior-lighting type and placement Roofing materials and insulation specifications Any permits, engineering, site preparation, and finishing work included in or excluded from the estimate Applicable manufacturer and workmanship warranties Please also confirm whether these specifications will be incorporated into the final contract and whether the preliminary proposal will remain non-binding until I have approved the complete scope of work and financing terms. Because no blueprint, floor plan, or detailed rendering was provided, it is difficult to determine how the completed project will appear. A preliminary drawing showing the proposed dimensions, layout, doors, windows, electrical fixtures, roof design, and connection to the existing home would help ensure that we share the same understanding of the finished project. Providing this information in writing will demonstrate a good-faith effort to clearly define the work and materials included in the quoted price and will allow me to make an informed decision before entering into a binding agreement. Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to receiving the detailed proposal. That being said, and in all fairness to the company I would have addressed the situation differently by collecting the information and prepare a preliminary layout and return to explain the detail that will help the customer know what they are getting for their money, and separate the manufacturer from the installer responsibility so their won't be finger pointing to avoid honoring a rightful warranty. I still hope lifestyle remodeling will reach out to me and respond to my letter this way their reputation can really stand out from the installer prospective, because any failure will usually start the blame there. This is my thought from a consumer's view with a background in structural engineering
