Beautiful place to set up an evening lights festival. Located near California and Nevada borders. I didn't see any bathrooms, just porta-potties. Parking can be unorganized, but extremely tolerable. Didn't see any trash bins, so please throw your trash away in a proper trash bin. Security-there really is none for a dry lake. The cracked earth ground was amazing, the night sky and full moon breathtaking. No shade from sun. Gas station ten miles out. read more

This is a beautiful dry lake bed just outside of Las Vegas. You go about 20 south of Vegas towards L.A. and you'll come to Jean Nevada. There's some small casinos and this fry lake bed. You can camp, 4x4, motorcycle. Great ears for some photo op's. read more

The dry lake bed is a popular place for a few reasons. 1) Models love to come here and get their picture taken . The lake bed has all types of cracks throughout it giving the photographer a very unique canvas to work with. 2) Off roading is great here, ESPECIALLY after some rain. Take a 4WD truck, quads, dirt bikes, and side by sides here and you'll have a blast. The dry lake bed is not too far away from Las Vegas either - about 30-40 minutes depending on where you're staying. read more
