Emma, the owner, loves these kids and goes above and beyond for them every chance she gets. I've never seen someone more committed to kids as she is. I consider myself to be a protective parent and I trust Emma and the staff with my kids wholeheartedly. Throughout 2020 they have worked tirelessly to put safe systems and procedures in place to continue providing kids with opportunities to safely rehearse and even perform on stage! Following all city / county / state guidelines and mandates. Even going beyond mandated guidelines when it made it safer for the kids, their families, and staff. Studio 3 is my daughter's "home away from home" many staff and students have become family to her.

Her…read morefirst year, she had a musical theatre teacher quit, a ballet teacher quit, and her Saturday class cancelled. I should have seen the red flags. But I met the dance teacher Rea who so graciously allowed my (then) 4 year old to dance up and join a class for 6+. Because of this dance teacher, my child joined the dance competition team. The team, the dance teacher, the parents have all been amazing. But the studio director Emma is the only reason why we will not be returning. Rehearsals, events, and shows never run on time and working parents are expected to get time off with short notice when Emma finally decides to send schedules out. Private lessons are constantly interrupted by volunteers that Emma has hired or even Emma herself. If you are unfortunate enough to be bumped to the back dance room, be prepared to have your child dance around props and costumes. She is also highly unprofessional, she asks her parent volunteers for far more than she should. Billing is hardly ever on time. This year she double charged my account for lessons that we were previously charged months prior. My emails and texts and stopping at the desk went unanswered. It wasn't until I told the front desk that I was not going to pay for tickets to an event, that Emma was now magically available. Instead of remaining professional and saying it was a clerical error, she chose to blame two other staff members who have nothing to do with billing accounts. And what really did it for us this year was when Emma told her older son to hide behind dance bags at a dance competition in a dressing room for girls only. Other studios complained about her son and many of us moms warned her, and she chose to try to use her daughter's bag and my child's bag for her son to hide. Since that incident she has become vindictive, even going as far as yelling at children that they will not dance at recital. Unfortunately even with a great dance teacher and great community amongst parents, we can no longer subject our child to Emma. Not when my child's is telling me she is scared of her. Find another place.

I felt like I was at a broadway show! All the girls did amazing! They offer camp in summer and my daughter went for a week. She is only 4 and really liked it. She never once cried or felt uncomfortable. I highly recommend this studio. They also have a second location that we've attended and also loved. The BELLA location is very small and not a lot of room for the parents to sit and watch. The Ellsworth location has lots of space for people waiting and multiple rooms. Now the both take multiple classes and love every minute. Their baby brother loves it here too and always tries to sneak in class and the teachers are so sweet with him. They came to dance and fell in love with it but they also found a family here. All the older girls really take care of and love on them and it has been so special for me to watch and get to be a little part of. Maria was the first teacher we had and we all totally fell in love with her! She is an angel. I honestly was nervous to have my kids take classes with any of the other teachers because we loved her so much but as they started taking more classes and getting to know the other teachers we realized they're all just as amazing! All of the teachers really take the time to get to know each of the kids and make them feel loved and special while still teaching them and helping them grow and raise their own personal bar. They also have killer recitals and the most fun costumes! Every other recital is scripted and all the kids have an opportunity to audition for a speaking role and/or special dance. It is so fun and the kids have the best time with it! My kids confidence has grown so much in the last year here. I'm so grateful for this studio and the special part they play in our family's life.

This may be the perfect dance studio for many students. It was not for my student…read more One of mine is a competitive level dancer with many years experience. He began classes in July when most of the students hadn't started yet. It was wonderful then. He got lots of individualized attention and the teachers were knowledgeable and knew lots of methods that he hadn't encountered before. Once the students returned when school started, everything changed. Focus and structure were gone from the classes. He was unable to try out for the competitive teams being new to the area, but the recreational classes were not able to accommodate his experience. Rules were not enforced. Kids were disruptive. They wore inappropriate clothing both for age and function. Things like bikinis or full length school skirts. And even though the school has a wonderful male instructor and other male students, many kids told my son that he couldn't dance because he was a boy. He felt unwelcome and didn't get the camaraderie and instruction he was used to at his former studio. There is so much potential in this studio, but the lack of discipline and cooperation among students made it a bad fit for my dancer.

The entire dance studio is run down and has a lot of cosmetic and functional problems. Floors are peeling up, transitions in doorways are missing or sticking up, and paint is chipped everywhere. There is even a spot in the floor in one of the dance rooms that looks like it is sinking and moldy. The windows to see in the dance rooms are high and standing at them is difficult because the hallways are very small. The owner also teaches classes and taught my daughters class. She ALWAYS started late and ended early. I actually started keeping track because I felt like we were being jipped in time. The class was supposed to be an hour long and every single time it was only about 30 minutes which is frustrating because I am paying for an hour. Every class was the exact same routine and if that meant it ended early because there were not a lot of kids, then that is what happened. My daughter was by herself once and there was no 1 on 1 teaching, it was the same routine of play this song and do this song. The teacher also liked to do a choreographed dance and read her notes in her book and dance to the song, but not actually teach it to the kids. So she watched herself in the mirror and did the dance while these poor little kids tried to follow along. My daughter loves dancing and wanted to do gymnastics too so we found this dance studio that did tumbling as part of the class. She loved that part of the class so we decided to leave and pursue gymnastics. It was a good out to leave and I didn't care that we had some makeup classes still. I do know they have a groupon and that's how a lot of people found out about this place. I was not aware of the groupon which would have saved me $30 a month. There are a lot of dance studios for kids out there, but this one is not worth the charged price per month and would look elsewhere, even thought the reviews state otherwise.

Directors looking for an on set acting coach should hire Cara since she will work wonderful with all ages. Finding a good acting coach is key to success and Cara is sure to get you on the right track to success. I've personally signed some of her students and some are booking jobs within the first 6 months of signing making over $1500+ a day on set. I will not sign anyone who has not been in on-camera acting classes so that is the first step and you are not done you will continue to train over the years.
