As someone who works professionally in comics and illustration, comic book stores are akin to a blood pressure machine: It's where I go to engage with my industry, check its pulse and lifeblood, and this place has been an ideal solution for all of the above. Anything that isn't on their very generous rack of new releases can be very easily ordered/subscribed to, with the added benefit of a 10% subscriber discount. They also have a very good selection of graphic novels and collected trade editions, both new and used. My only complaint is that I have to drive a long @$$ way to get there--*deep sigh* I live in North Idaho--but this store has been a tentpole to my continued sanity. North Idaho, as its name implies, doesn't put a lot of value on entertainment arts and culture (in my experience). Having a place like this even remotely nearby (about 2 hours drive from my house, but only 20 minutes from my work at North Idaho College) has helped make life worth living for me. I don't know that it's the only shop of its kind up this way, but it is certainly the best.

They charge cover price for back issues, which isn't low but also is less than some other shops. It also appears they have a good gaming station for non-COVID times. There's a bathroom as well. They also sell Magic Cards and your other usual comic store stuff. Finally, the staff member who helped us out was super kind and conversational. A place I'd be happy to return to.

If you love indie comics, you're gonna be in heaven here. There's a small selection of board and card games, but comics are the star of the show. They even have a room full of items for just $2 each. Not that great of stuff mind you but still only $2. The nice lady tending the store was very talkative and gave me the rundown when I entered. When I didn't find anything that I was looking for she was very helpful and informed me of other antique shops in the area that I could check out. Overall, a nice and friendly experience. The guy there, who was the manager, was a bad actor and said he was shocked and doubted they were fake because he watched the owner pull all those. I suggested they ask other card shop owners as well about them and he promised me they'd look into it. I just found out that they shuffled them all back in there and are trying to pass them as genuine... And to top it all off, their prices tend to be insanely high. I'm officially boycotting them now. I already don't even stop at their table at card shows due to their prices, but knowingly selling fake cards is NOT OKAY!!
