Let me start by saying that I have an extreme phobia of letting other people drive my car! To me, paying other people drive my car is akin to paying someone to be intimate with your wife. In a perfect world, no one but me would drive my "Beyonce". However, if I had "more than a couple" of sips of "Juice" down a "dark Homestead highway" and want to be a responsible driver I will let someone share Beyonce with me. I heard about RedCap from Brenda P. and Glenn G. when I asked how they partied in Miami when living in the 954. Basically this company will send a driver to your location, and drive you in your car to either your home or a nearby 24 hour restaurant to get some carbs in your system. Similar to the other car sharing companies I've used, my driver (Jack Topel) was friendly and a great conversationalist as well as very punctual. He arrived at the party site a little before the scheduled appointment, and waited an extra 15 minutes when the event ran over the scheduled time. Between that service, and avoiding a weekend under unpleasant circumstances, I would have to say RedCap is very much worth the price! read more

Probably have used the service 20 times. The drivers are very well trained and the service keeps better and evolving. I have used them everywhere from Palm Beach down to South Beach. What I Like: ...the app is very convenient ...the drivers are clean and wearing uniforms ...the convenience - they are mostly within 5 minutes of a pick up time ...the sms follow up, before and after the ride ...tipping is included ...door to door service ...management is extremely responsive and professional. Redcap is not inexpensive, but is is less than taking a round trip taxi service - and certainly less than a DUI. Where is gets really costly is when you keep the driver after hours. I recommend taking a big car, that fits 6 - and splitting the cost among everyone. That way the $35 cost to the beach costs only a fraction of that. I have recommended the service to many friends and they all feel pretty much the same - RedCap is great!!! read more

I have used this service 4 times now and like others have said, it keeps getting better and better. I feel sorry for the other 99% of the country that has to use a nasty taxi to go out boozing on the town!! This service, to me, is way better than having a buddy be the designated driver. I don't need a stick-in-the-mud friend telling me I'm drunk and let's go every 15 minutes. Get Red Cap and EVERYONE drinks!! Woo Hoo!!! Anywho, let's get back to some facts, not like my above statements aren't facts....... 1) Driver has always been on time, actually early. 2) You get texts an updates from 2 hours in advance, right up to and including their arrival at your house. 3) Drivers have always been professional and courteous. 4) My latest favorite driver (Who I'm not sharing his name for fear you all will book him before me) does not give me weird looks when I say, "next stop Scarlett's" This service has been nothing but flawless. The other day I used it for the first time and it really is such a great great service. If you don't know what My Red Cap is - its a driver-on-demand service that gets you and your car home safely. Basically they can drive you all night or just pick you and YOUR CAR up at the end of the night and take you home safely - its actually brilliant and in most cases is cheaper than a taxi, car service. If you want to use red cap you need to be a member, they let you try for Free with a free trial membership otherwise it starts at $8 per month. They make it easy because they bill your credit card and add an 18% tip. Trip fees are based on your Membership level and the amount of time you use the Driver. The Rate starts from your pick up time to your drop off time. Also real late night trips have additional charges. Whats cool is before your trip you get a text that the drivers coming. All the drivers are background checked too. I loved it. The best part was I was able to enjoy the night not worrying how I was going to get home. We used them one time and the driver harassed my wife and made us feel very uncomfortable. He continued to stare at her outfit while he was driving and was very inappropriate. The driving aspect was equally as bad and I would never use them again. read more

This service is fantastic. I used Redcap for a ride home from a medical procedure. I drove myself to the surgical center at 6:00 am and scheduled Redcap to pick me up at 8:30. The surgical center required the name and telephone number of the person picking me up before they would start the procedure. The Redcap app on my iPhone gave me the driver's picture, review rating and a call button to call him which enabled me to provide the information to the surgical center. I'm pretty anal about being on time and checking and rechecking to make sure things are going as planned. The app sends you a confirmation text when you book, another text when your driver is on the way and a text when the driver arrives. When you receive the text that the driver is on the way you can go to the app and see exactly where the driver is on a map. Even the most OCD customer will be happy with the quality and quantity of information provided by the app. The driver came upstairs to pick me up right on time. He was courteous and professional. The driver was the first person other than me to drive my AMG and he showed it the upmost respect. The entire service was something I have learned from experience not to expect in Miami. Taxi service here is awful and can't be used for medical procedures. I'm very pleased to have found Redcap. The basic membership is free. The app estimated the cost at $46 and that's exactly what it cost. You will want to add a generous tip for this excellent service. Best. Service. Ever. Great drivers and reasonable (but not cheap) costs. My only suggestion is that the one way service go beyond midnight. When we stay out really late, I have to get the driver for the whole night, both ways. It'd be nice to have a one way service 24 hours. we went out with a few of our friends 2 weeks ago after meeting at their house for a couple drinks and deciding where to go. we piled into their suv, ate at Market 17 (wow!) then off to Las Olas to bar hop. our friend said he had no worries about drinking because he was calling Red Cap. I had never heard of this...and they explained how great it was to be able to go out, have fun & be worry free about getting home and not have to take a crappy taxi instead. I said "that's why I use Uber". they love the service of Red Cap & are very happy with it...but this was my 1st experience. at the end of the night, we waited almost 20 minutes for the driver....not too bad. the driver was nice, acted professionally, drove safely. I asked him how he got to where we were....and he said he used Uber! this made me laugh that our driver used their service to come drive our friend's vehicle home. of course I teased our friend about what they were paying since it's obviously profitable for red cap to use uber...and if it's good enough for red cap, why wouldn't it be good enough for them? to sum it up, the service was pretty good....a little long on the wait....but it was a busy night. the driver was nice & competent....but to me the price just seemed too high. read more

WOW!! Super Professional car service. So glad I was referred to them by a friend. They were on time and provided me with a personal driver which allowed me to actually use my own car. Providing me with personal comfort. I thought I would only use this service when I wanted to go out and have a few drinks and not have to worry about getting a DWI. I realized that they provide so much more. I even have been using this service for runs to the airport and servicing my car while it is at the dealership. Red Cap is an amazing service. Super convenient and super professional. I've used Red Cap for many different purposes. When I go on vacation I usually arrange for our cars to be serviced at the dealership. Red Cap drives us to the airport in our car, takes our car to get serviced at the dealership, and then picks us up from the airportt when we return. Sometimes when I'm out and had a few too many to drink I have Red Cap come out and take me home in my own car. They are always on time and the drivers are great. I would highly recommend Red Cap as your driver when in need. Super company! read more

While I enjoyed my service, I only used it once and then cancelled it. Since then, I've been charged $20 every month despite the fact that I cancelled my service! Every month we dispute the charge with Amex and the money is refunded yet they continue to charge me. Finally had to do a merchant block. I would be very cautious of using this service and giving your credit card info. read more

Excellent service. Professional drivers and fabulous service. Definitely not cheap - but MUCH cheaper than a DUI or worse. Because you can't use the one-way service after midnight it is not a "spur of the moment" type service - but it has been great going to and from concerts (like at Cruzan) and other bigger events. read more

If only there was a 0 stars for this company!!! They left me stranded twice!!! The second time they left me stranded I booked two weeks ahead and called 2 days before to confirm I wouldn't have any problems again. Well not the case totally stranded and sent me a text 2 hours after my scheduled pick up time saying they couldn't pick me up. The prior two times actually picked me up they overcharged my card for each ride! Oh and the driver was once texting and driving till I said something and no it was not a red light. You are better off with another company! They advertise in my football suite and I immediately remove any marketing. Terrible company! read more

I finally had the opportunity to try out our friends at RedCap. Wow, was I impressed. I get a confirmation text the day before confirming my order and asking me where I would be parked at Sun Life Stadium, I get a confirmation the day off, I get another confirming my driver on the way and finally I get one when he arrived. The timing of all was absolutely perfect as if they rehearsed this prior to picking me up and trying to impress a potential BIG client or investor. "No, it's this way everytime," I'm told. Finally our driver Mitch text me to tell me he was waiting at the designated area. As I walked out, I recognized the red cap right away. Now I know why they wear them as it is easily seen. We were in the car within minutes and out of the park on the highway within 5 minutes. Mitch had a wit about him and quick with the zingers as he had to keep up with a few football fans that had been tailgating and have more than enough fun at the game (I think you know what I mean). Now I know I could've driven home without a problem, but why bother if you got these guys. No pressure worrying about driving, and no pressure worrying about having a great time at the game or not. Love this service!!!! Originally thought we'd use it once or twice a month when we went out for drinks with friends- one single DUI could ruin your life and someone else's- but surprisingly it's become my go-to friend for picking up my kids from after school activities like dance- driver picks up my car from my driveway leaves his car-drives to the studio gets my non-driving teen and brings her and her sis home- while we are out at business dinners and meetings. Red cap also sends a text to my kid and a picture of the driver which she shows to the studio front desk. My kids feel safe in their own car and not some smelly taxi. Unfortunately, my excuse for not going to those boring dinners has disappeared but my husband loves it;) great service and professionalism!!!! read more

Terrible car and a terrible experience. The cab driver was very disrespectful to my elderly mother and I. The car was filthy and in no good condition. The cab driver was going in loops for 5 minutes when I told him which way to go. I don't recommend red cap to anyone anymore. This is the second time this happened. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER. Unbelievably terrible experience. Was using this as a first time customer and booked a reservation for car to be delivered the next after routine service. Half an hour before the car was supposed to be delivered I received a text message saying the reservation had been cancelled. I then checked my voicemail and had received a phone call only an hour before the scheduled delivery time saying they didn't know where to pick up my car. When I called to discuss this, I waited on hold for 40 MINUTES before I was able to speak with someone, who then told me they had no idea where to pick up my car, and asked for information about something called an RO number or a service representative at the dealer, which the app had never asked for. I had tried to look on the app in the morning to speak with someone to confirm my reservation, but there's NO NUMBER on the app. RIDICULOUS. NEVER AGAIN. They lady on the phone kept acting like it was my fault their app never asked me for the reservation information they needed. read more

Simply Awesome! I have been a Red Capper from the beginning. I have used Red Cap to get home after I had a few drinks, used it to shuttle my guests home after they had a few drinks, I have sent Red Cap to pick up my grandmother in Miami for Thanksgiving dinner and my family has been driven to the airport for every family vacation over the last 3 years. Unbelievable service! Super reliable, extremely convenient and economical. I have used RedCap over the years to pick me up from restaraunts, take me and/or my family to the airport and take my car in for service. Quick story... I was heading out for a one week vacation with my family. I arranged for RedCap to pick us up at our home and take us to the airport in our car. From there, I arranged with my car dealership to have my car serviced while I was out of town. RedCap brought my car to the dealership, had it serviced, picked it up when it was done and filled up the gas tank. When we arrived back from our trip, a RedCap driver was waiting for us at baggage claim, helped us with our luggage and drove us home. For everything they did, the cost came out to be the same as if I used a car service to take my family to and from the airport. The convenience of having RedCap take care of my car service while I was out of town was a huge value add to me. And, filling up my tank was a nice touch. I have always had great experiences with their professional drivers and their timely pick up and drop off. I highly recommend RedCap to all my friends and family. although red cap drivers are polite well mannered and very respectful the company itself and the people that work in the office are not. I have had an experience with the people that work in the office although they could be very nice and cordial they are also very disrespectful very rude condescending. I do not recommend people not to use this company they do not always have a driver available and sometimes because of the lack of organization in the office the drivers aren't always on time. I also feel very bad and extremely worried about the women who work for this company as drivers because they are supposed to have chase drivers picking them up and half the time I have use this company the chase drivers aren't on time and the poor girls have to wait in dock desolate areas even if it's raining outside. I have had hey driver actually wait 45 minutes to an hour and a half for a change driver outside my house and company policy does not allow them to wait inside the house even if it's raining. I believe this company needs to changed their management team and the girls in the office or have each girl in the office attend a class on how to speak to a client treat a client end speak to the drivers with respect. read more
