Such a clean and welcoming place. My son loves his teachers. We needed a place like this around here. To actually have a center to teach kids and not just watch them. It really is one of those places that once people hear about it, they get excited. Definitely recommend this childcare facility. If you're not sure, just take a look and see the difference. They need more exposure and recognition for what they are doing. Opening something like a name brand daycare where it's needed.

Folks here have worked with the likes of Gavin DeGraw, Snoop Dogg, The Goo Goo Dolls, DMX, B.o.B., Big Sean, Mac Miller, Mike Posner, The Fray, Jadakiss, Alanis Morissette, Tory Lanez, Stereophonics, William Michael Morgan, Big Smo, Jelly Roll, Nappy Roots, Ryan Tedder, Busta Rhymes, Wiz Khalifa, Mike Epps, and John Legend. I was here for fairly simple podcast recording. In this setting, it's reasonable to be concerned about accessibility. This is a modestly-sized building in Broad Ripple with a handful of parking spots. Street parking is also available all around it. They do have one accessible parking spot, not quite ADA, but I opted to park on the street as it gave me better access. The side entrance works better for accessibility. I had no trouble getting in it in a wheelchair. The doorways were right about 32" - right at ADA requirements. I also found the studio to be pretty darn workable with one bit of a bump to get over some cords. The podcast set-up was ideal for a wheelchair, though I will note they also knew I was coming in advance. I find in unique settings it's just helpful to let folks know in advance. The staff I met were all friendly and helpful. The setting was inviting and very conducive to recording. I'd imagine I was in one of the smaller studios, though it looked like it could be easily adapted. I'm not an expert in recording, however, I was impressed with the set-up and the effort to make guests comfortable. This was a positive experience all around for me and definitely made me intrigued about the idea of my own podcast recording in the future. I would easily return.

Stereotypical jokes more often than none. With that being said over time I couldn't help but notice their staff isn't very diverse. I'd seen the Speedway Artist Collective multiple times as I pass 16th and Lynhurst just about every time I make my way to US 36 (Rockville Road). The Speedway Artist Collective is a permanent program coming out of the Mars Hill Arts Center. MHAC has the mission of encouraging, supporting, and promoting local artists by giving them a place to sell their works. The founders of MHAC are from the Speedway area and have been committed to really promoting Indy's west side. Located in the end spot of a small strip center, Speedway Artist Collective is open limited hours. It's a non-profit shop featuring art from local artists. Speedway is obviously a racing-centered community, however, you can find much more here than racing themed items. The art has a diverse price range and you can easily find affordable art that also supports local artists. There are also classes here and I kind of fell in love with the "Free Little Art Gallery" out front (think "free library" but with art!). I might be exaggerating a bit to go 5-stars here, however, I don't think I am. I love the art work. I love the vibe. I love the community. I love the fact that you can introduce yourself to local artists and snag some art for the home. The sidewalks have curb cuts here. there's street parking alongside the building. You can enter through a single glass door that's level to the ground. Yes, there's a lot inside, however, I found it immensely workable and worth the effort. Given the limited hours, I'd be sure to check that they're open (hours may vary with special events). However, once I was finally able to stop in I fell in love with this little gem in Speedway.

I've talked to other "mad scientists" from other franchises in Canada and the US, and they've even been impressed with the amount of programs that are offered and the quality of the take-home science projects the kids get. Every time I go into a school to teach kids, something happens to "make my day." If you have any questions, let me know. We do summer camps, in-school workshops for pre-schoolers through 8th graders, birthday parties, after school programs, library programs, stuff for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, and really BIG science shows for audiences at schools, community centers, etc. It's so much fun!! Science shows are far superior to magic shows.
