Very disappointed during my most recent visit to Jeff Lynch. I have been a past customer of theirs and have ordered multiple appliances and furniture from them and never had any issues. This was back in the early 2000s. Flash forward a week and a half ago, my mother and I decided we wanted to shop local, so we entered into Jeff Lynch. Mind you, employees all over. We walk through the kitchen area on the right middle part of store to get to the refrigerators and I see no prices anywhere. I tell the salesman that I don't want to look at anything that doesn't have a price. Like most, I am on a budget and know exactly what I can afford. So rather than reassuring me and asking how he can help, this guy who had his arms crossed says "It's tough, isn't it?" in a very smart way. I just walked off and was heading to the front desk to find someone to help me. This blonde headed lady walked right past me, squinting her eyes at me. I turned around and said forget it. One of the guys on the phone was trying to get my attention as he could see I was a bit annoyed. Another salesman in the middle of helping another customer asked if I needed something so I told him no thank you, I will take my business elsewhere. I ended up calling to complain and was told to speak to Glenn Ashley. I left a voicemail for him, who I was told was the "appliance manager" who of course, as expected, never returned my call. I will NEVER return to Jeff Lynch again, they can keep their unmarked merchandise and their arrogant sales team. I am appalled as I run a business as well and strive to provide top notch, above average customer service at all times. I hope Jeff Lynch can find a way to better train some of their employees on the proper way to address a customer so that nobody else has to have a negative experience. I believe in second chances, however, their slow response and lack of sense of urgency has me questioning whether or not they truly value customers. read more

No pressure from the salesperson, but made himself available to help with pricing and upholstery options when needed. Great selection of quality furnishings with fair prices. read more

I'm sorry it took having to struggle to get the rebate that was offered at point of sale but Loren has come through like he promised and is doing what was necessary to make me whole. I'm going to increase the Lynch rating to 3* for his efforts. I'll wait & see if the balance of the rebate is paid by 4/18/19. My wife and I recently moved to South Carolina. We went Jeff Lynch looking for a washer & Dryer, 2 TV's and delivery + TV install. Austen, who handled our sale, was very helpful. He walked us through the process, guided us in understanding the various washer and dryers and then through the tvs. We research various other vendors and Jeff Lynch's pricing was comparable. We then had Nate & Dan delivered everything that was ordered. They arrived when they said they would. They took care to not do any damage to our new house. They were very friendly, explained what they were doing, made sure not to walk across our white carpet. These guys worked well as a team. Service is very important to my wife and I, and Austen, Nate and Dan provided excellent representation of what Jeff Lynch represents. read more

Here's our story: My wife and I purchased two leather chairs and a sofa for our new house in the Upstate. Special Order. THE UNRETURNABLE CHAIRS. When we received the two chairs they were different from the chairs we purchased at the store. How different ? The chairs were about 30-40 percent larger than what we purchased. The chairs would not fit in our home. Additionally, one of the chairs started shedding its color. What was their response ? Sorry. You ordered the chairs. Your problem. We cant sell them. I asked one of the managers if he could call the manufacturer or come to inspect the chairs and see the problem. No response. THE UNRETURNABLE SOFA. When we received the sofa it was way too big for our living room. We called the next day to return and get something different and explained it was too big. Response. NO RETURNS. SORRY. *My wife and I have decided that we will donate the two chairs and sofa to charity and start over with another furniture store. We will make sure that the next store has a return policy. After shopping for appliances around Greenville, decided to check out Jeff Lynch on way to another shop. Walked in and immediately, Glen immediately greeted us and walked us to microwave area where he showed us model. We wanted a different model. Glen looked it up and proceeded to place on hold. He even printed a copy of microwave with all information, including price. Next, Glen walked us back to refrigerator area and showed us two models. We wanted to lol a little more. Glen said he would meet us at window #1 when ready to purchase. Decided quickly and proceeded towards window to complete our purchase. This was the easiest appliance purchases we have ever made. Found out they handle up to 2 years of appliance repairs, delivery and installation. Microwave is installed by a separate person due to electrical wiring. Purchased on Saturday afternoon and it was delivered on Monday am. Delivery called 8:00am With a window of 8:30-11am delivery window. Nate and Riki arrived 9am with refrigerator delivery. Nate came in ready with tape measure to insure refrigerator would fit. He was a step ahead from any previous deliveries. Unloaded old refrigerator while they were unpacking new refrigerator. They pulled out old refrigerator and gave me time to do a quick clean, making space ready for new refrigerator. Nate and Riki were very professional and quick. Nate even said, "what a great company Jeff Lynch is to work for, They treat you fair and I am thankful for my job." You don't hear that very often anymore. An excellent experience from start to finish. Our salesman, Glenn Ashley, was extremely knowledgeable and found just what we were looking for in a refrigerator in about 30 seconds. Delivery was made the same day and by the team of Will Marcengill and Frank Lopez who could not have any more professional or pleasant to deal with. We bought a Maytag Washer / Dryer set from Jeff Lynch Appliance in Greenville 2.5 years ago when we moved to the Upstate. We have only had two other sets in our lifetime, and only had minimal issues with them that were repaired quickly. We just bought new equipment every 10 or 15 years to get an updated look. When we purchased this set from Jeff Lynch, we did not buy the extended warranty, because we assumed the equipment would work as our past sets have. Our dryer had issues after about a year. The washer became quite loud. Our home warranty company was scheduling a couple of weeks out, so my husband called Jeff Lynch and Whirl Pool/Maytag. The repairman that they sent out banged on the washer so much, he absolutely destroyed it. Our Home Warranty wouldn't cover it because it was destroyed by faulty repair. We realize that Jeff Lynch did not manufacture the set, however, they sold us poor equipment and didn't make it right. We ended up buying a new washer, but definitely didn't buy it from Jeff Lynch. read more

We purchased two area rugs for our finished basement. Jared was our salesman who did an excellent job showing us what was available, helping us determine the size rug we needed, found a price discount available and handling the paperwork to get the rugs delivered three weeks ahead of schedule. The delivery by Cliff and Dustin arrived within a minute of the scheduled time and they helped to carry the rugs down to our basement from the truck parked on the street. All in all we were extremely pleased with the merchandise at the store, the customer service and the delivery process. read more

We recently purchased a laundry center for pur condominium here in Greenville. We needed delivery for the Thanksgiving holiday. This was scheduled for Wednesday afternoon prior to Thanksgiving day. Upon arrival both of the installers were courteous, friendly, and respectful of our time and place. They removed our old unit and installed our new LG into a very confined space which was difficult. The installation went seamlessly. I highly recommend Jeff Lynch for your furniture and appliance needs. Both Tim Wooten and Terrence Campbell did an outstanding job with installation. read more

Jeff Lynch does have great prices, but they suffer in customer satisfaction. I ordered a refrigerator and a washer and dryer and set delivery dates in the store. The refrigerator was to be first but it did not arrive as scheduled and I did not receive a call. So I called the store and they told me it should be in the next day. Then I called again the next day and the salesman told me he had REALLY found it this time and it was still in Louisiana and would be in the next week, probably on Friday. Meanwhile, I received a call that the washer and dryer were on backorder and would be in "in about a week." I asked them to make sure they called me the day before so I could arrange to be at home. I did not receive any more updates. On Thursday the next week, I had all day meetings and later noticed I had missed 4 calls from someone. The voice mails said the delivery people were at my house wondering where I was. I called them and asked why someone didn't call me. They said the salesman should have called me the day before because when they get the delivery ticket they assume that contact has been made. I called the salesman and he said the warehouse is supposed to call me. I told him what delivery had said and he did not reply except to say he was sorry for the inconvenience. The delivery departments was EXTREMELY helpful and apologized over and over for the problem, even though it was not their fault. Tony, the guy I talked to, said he would get them back out to me the next day and said he wanted any experience with Jeff Lynch to be good. He was awesome and the W/D arrived as scheduled the next day. I will not shop there again, however. I wish the salesman had been as attentive to the communication and had cared that much about my perception. The frustration was not worth the few dollars I saved. read more

We purchased our kitchen appliances at Jeff Lynch when we renovated our home three years ago. The sales staff was knowledgeable, professional, and informative. Never had a problem. Recently, we returned to look at furniture. Having shopped around the area, we were impressed they carried the high quality of furniture we purchased in the past such as Hooker. Salesman, Jarrad Maroney answered our questions, no pressure which is important to us, and handle the sale efficiently. Good service. In fact we bought a second piece of furniture there again today. This was my first time ever dealing with Jeff Lynch but they had a complete Fridgidaire kitchen set on sale and I had just remodeled my kitchen so I made my purchase. The salesman made the purchase very easy and even though I had to wait on the appliances I felt good about the purchase. I received a call that all of the appliances were in and was given a delivery date and was told the delivery/installers would give me a 2 hour window and then a 30 minute window so that I could have someone at home due to me being at work. I received a call 2 hours before and ask if I needed to be there and was told that my grandson could receive the appliances. I had made plans to run home when they called with the 30 minute window but the call that I received was from my grandson asking if I had been mopping up water from my old fridge and where was the water cut off? I told him no I had never had a leak and where to turn the water off. I never received another call back. I got home at 7:30 that evening to water in my floor with a towel that was soaking wet only to find that the installers had damaged the water pipe to the fridge and turned the water supply off to my house! I had to call a plumber out to cut the line to the fridge so that I would have running water for the night and he returned the next day to make the repairs. Also the "installers tried to shove the fridge in and the space was too tight and damaged the side of the fridge! Needless to say I was very upset and I am a single women working 2 jobs and had waited along time to remodel and this is what I had to deal with. When I got in touch with the salesman he was very understanding and said he would see what he could do about the damages. I didn't hear from him for a few days and then I received a text hat he was still working on it. The holidays came so I didn't follow up and yesterday I received a $100 check for the damages and keep in mind I paid for the install to which I had to pay someone else to do because of the broken pipe! So I paid a plumber to make repairs and install a damaged fridge and I was reimbursed $100??? I will never purchase from Jeff Lynch again and will not recommend them to anyone! A family member works here and this is what is happening. OUTBREAK OF THE CORONA VIRUS THROUGHOUT THE EMPLOYEES!! More than a dozen employees have tested positive for the Corona Virus and several others have symptoms. Some are still working while waiting on test results because they have been told they may not have a job. Others who are sick are being told when they are expected back, even though they are still sick . There are a couple of people who have symptoms and refuse to wear masks, yet are still assisting customers and working close to other employees. The owner has made derogatory comments if employees do wear mask. He thinks it's nothing but a scam. The health and safety of his employees as well as his customers is not a priority: One employee is so sick that they may be hospitalized. We tried for months to get Haywood Appliance in Asheville to help us with replacement bulbs for the Vent-A-Hood we bought from them. Got nowhere. I called them Feb 17th and had a phone call with a rude salesman named Brent. We then called Jeff Lynch. We were given a number to call since Jeff Lynch didn't do repairs. In 11 days we received the bulbs and were given instruction on how to make it easier to replace them in the future. We still haven't heard more from Haywood! $21,516. That is the amount that we paid Jeff Lynch Appliance on Halloween day in 2010 for a Viking appliance package that included a dual fuel range, built-in refrigerator, dishwasher and beverage center. I can honestly say that it was the singularly worst purchase decision I have ever made. Not only has the equipment performed poorly when functioning, it is not functioning all too often. To top it off, when service is required, we endure a virtual absence of service providers in our city of nearly 1,000,000 people. When we've asked for help from Jeff Lynch, they have been completely unhelpful. Recently, both refrigerator and range ceased to function. The one service company which would service the equipment told us "I'll order new circuit boards for the equipment, but there is no guarantee that will fix them. Either way, you have to pay for the boards up front." We spun the wheel and bought the boards for $1,200. I feel somewhat lucky that the refrigerator was restored to operation following the installation of a new board. Sadly, the new circuit board did not repair the range and the service tech is now suggesting that "maybe" the fan is the problem on the range. We have been offered another shot at the wheel for some $300... with no guarantee, of course. To be fair, we are people that paid $21,000+ for kitchen appliances. If that's where you live, you have to learn to recognize that you may be susceptible to valuing image over quality. In this case, we bought a name that has cache' far greater than it deserves. Unlike a high maintenance Porsche that is awesome when it is working, this equipment is mediocre at its best and abysmal when it's not. You'd literally be better off purchasing a middle-market brand from a discount or hardware store at a fraction of the cost. read more

We purchased a Paliser couch from this company. Had to order it and waited over a month for delivery. Over $2000. PAID extra to have it delivered, and I had to keep helping the delivery people. When it was unwrapped, it was damaged!! Scratches on numerous places on the back and top of the NEW couch. The delivery was late beyond the window of time we were given; the store was closed for the day/for the weekend. We emailed pictures immediately and followed up with a phone call. NOTHING happed. What should have been an easy purchase of 3 new kitchen appliances has become a constant exercise in frustration! The sales person chose not to communicate delays in delivery or my options or call me when he had updated info. Deliveries were all messed up. I have rearranged my schedule 3 times (so far) because they called to say they were coming the "next" day only to have them not do it. I just wanted a simple thing. Just had our new dining room chairs delivered by Jerrod and Brandon. Chairs were backordered for a while due to the fabric we chose, but finally arrived in great shape. Jerrod and Brandon were great - careful bringing the chairs through the house and setting them around the table. I have purchased appliances at Jeff Lynch for over 25 years but will never do so again. They are now no better than a big box store. I purchased a Bosch dishwasher with Jeff Lynch's extended warranty. The dishwasher broke over five weeks ago and we have called Jeff Lynch close to 20 times attempting to get the issue addressed. Jeff Lynch would not call back the appliance repair company (Mr. Appliance) to authorize repairs for over two weeks. They then blamed the lack of repair on Mr. Appliance. Even though Mr. Appliance has emails showing Jeff Lynch did not respond to their request. I escalated this issue to the service manager (Chris Lynch) and had to call and leave messages three days in a row. When he finally called me back he accepted no responsibility for the issue and was totally unhelpful. Finally spoke with store manager Glenn Ashely who also accepted no responsibility and failed to use or comprehend any type of logic while attempting to talk over me. Got them to replace the dishwasher since they are unable to repair it. However they are charging me an extra $200 since they don't have the original model in stock. Then after paying the $200 upfront I find out I will have to wait another week for the model that was supposed to be in stock. Glenn is convinced Jeff Lynch is buying me a "new dishwasher" and going "above and beyond." He can not comprehend they are replacing a broken dishwasher that I spent several hundred dollars on an extended warranty for and had to spend hours trying to getting fixed over the past five weeks. In addition to charging me the $200 the original extended warranty ($300+) doesn't transfer to the replacement dishwasher even though it was still had over a year left on it. So if there are any issues with replacement I'm out out of luck on that as well. It's unfortunate that after 25 years and thousands of dollars spent just on their warranty plans they are failing to honor it. I hope the $500 they made taking advantage of me was worth losing a lifetime customer. read more

I visited this store twice to shop for a high quality leather sofa and accessories. Both occasions I was completely ignored by their "staff". I even strolled by what appeared to be the office and saw several employees but was still ignored. On one occasion, 3 of their employees even came to the sales floor, sat in recliners and started using their phones. At that point I just left. On the next visit, same thing happened so I went and asked a sales person for help. He seemed quite irritable and then later told me that I was asking a lot of questions?!? Therefore, I choose NOT to spend any more time or effort at this place. Shame, I have 10k to spend on some furniture but cannot find a decent store in Greenville SC! Longtime customer who has spent over $15k with Jeff Lynch over a 20 year period. Spent $3000 on a new front loading washer, dryer and pedestals. Jeff Lynch had everything in stock except the washer, which they ordered. When the washer came in and I went to arrange delivery, I was informed by the salesperson that they didn't have the pedestals -- THEY SOLD THE PEDESTALS I BOUGHT AND PAID FOR IN FULL TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!! Two weeks after paying in full I am still waiting for the pedestals that WERE IN STOCK WHEN I BOUGHT THEM. Jeff Lynch is doing nothing to make this right for me. They are making me tie up three Saturdays for them to correct their mistake. I will not do business with them ever again and I do not recommend anyone else does either -- they will sell items you bought and paid for in full to someone else!!! read more

Although I was pleased with the price for the Washer and Dryer purchased from Jeff Lynch, the final service during delivery was not up to par. Dale J & Russel C. delivered and installed the W/D. While taking out my old washer the guy came barreling down the steps too fast. The other worker should have been in front of him helping, but was just watching. The wood work on my stairs was dinged and chip came out. The guy that made the error saw the damage, the other worker said "no, that ding was already there" (The damage was new, so he lied). They wrote up the damage and said someone would call to repair (that was 12/16/21) , but I still have not heard from JL for a repair for this damage. Another complaint, they did not ask which way I wanted the door on the dryer to hang. After they left, it took me 2 hrs to switch the direction on the door. Not very pleased with the install crew. Update to my previous review- After several days of confusion, Jeff Lynch delivered another new washer and dryer and had a carpet cleaning company clean my carpet. I was glad to get that resolved but sad to find after using the washer that with more than a few items in the washer, some things don't get wet. I washed 2 sheets and 4 pillowcases and 1 sheet had a large dry spot. I used the settings recommended by the salesman who must have gotten this complaint before for him to have even brought it up. I would call Jeff Lynch to see what they can do to help but I'm thinking we just got screwed on the setthe salesman gets the best commision on. read more

We were very excited about purchasing a new double oven to replace our single oven. We were greeted by a sales associate who told us he could help us with choosing the best new oven for all our needs. He was very knowledgeable on all the products and as we came to find out he happened to also be the store manager. We made our selection and set up delivery. Their installation team was very efficient and polite. They did an excellent job. Everything went fine until the new oven was installed and we tested it before the installer left. Error codes popped up and the oven would not heat. Initial discussions with Jeff Lynch were centered around getting a repair service out to look at it. Only problem was it was going to be close to two weeks. After a few discussions with the store manager they agreed to replace it with a new unit ASAP which made us very pleased. We are definitely looking forward to future business with Jeff Lynch when we redo the entire kitchen!! Definitely a class business. read more
