I was made to feel like I was doing things wrong or was a complete bother multiple times. The lack of professionalism was really jarring and made me so uncomfortable, I don't know what flip switched, but I will be taking my business elsewhere. I've always kept an incredibly detailed and organized list of expenses on Google sheets and share it with Sandra, along with necessary paperwork. Time after time, Sandra would compliment me on my organization and would give me small requests to make the documents easier for her. Last year, she told me that, since my PM's (property manager) already shares an expense/income sheet, that I didn't need to "double count it" on my Google sheets form. So, I didn't. Then this year, she texts me the night before my appointment frantic about my paperwork, telling me she has to charge me something like a few hundred an hour to be a bookkeeper, etc. Mind you, all at 9-10pm the night before my appointment, when I had sent out these forms a few days in advance. After going to her for many years, I thought I was doing things "right" as I had the last few, but suddenly nothing was right. I chalked it up to the stresses of her divorce and tax season, so I let the experience be and convinced myself she was having a bad day or something. Then, a few weeks ago, I realized I never got a copy of my completed taxes. So I simply just emailed her and asked, whenever she was free, to send me a copy. She replied she would send them over soon. A few days go by and I follow up with her...and she replies, very unprofessional with "HERE YOU GO" in all caps. Now, mind you, in the past she's also informed me that if I don't ask for an e-copy of my taxes within the same month ish/time frame as doing my taxes, she'll charge me for sending me my paperwork. That's because when I was going through a mortgage process, I reached out to see if she could help send me copies of my old tax forms, and she told me that if I ask outside of the direct tax window filing period that she charges for that request. Charging to get a copy of your own tax paperwork is kinda wild, but whatever, so that's why I've been diligent about getting an e-copy of my taxes from her every year since learning that. Why it's not auto-sent to people to have copies who needs them, IDK, but the constant nickel and dime threats is so exhausting.

I filed through TurboTax initially and when I saw the numbers, I FREAKED and (obviously) did not hit "file". Without a tax expert in California, Filing "free" is for uninformed people these days. Everyone living even just slightly above the "low income", line needs a specialist or you'll just give 40% every paycheck to the state and Feds who will scrape another 5% away from your bucket at the end of the year because they know they can. Pay Stephanie the same cost as Turdo Tax and she will find your rightful deductions and get you your MAX deductions BACK! There is no reason why middle/lower income people should OWE end of year. So stop paying all year just to owe. It's crazy!! Trust her, pay her, then get an exponentially better return. Period.

Unfortunately, the paperwork was not handled correctly, and my MC application was rejected. As a result, I have been unable to operate and have lost valuable time and income while trying to correct the issues. I also feel that I was overcharged for the services provided, especially considering the mistakes that were made and the outcome of my application. Communication was frustrating, and I was left dealing with the consequences of errors that should have been avoided. I paid for professional assistance because I wanted the process done correctly, but that was not my experience. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company to other trucking business owners looking for help with DOT, CA, or MC filings.

We decided to move forward with bookkeeping services for our businesses during the year and then have them do our taxes when tax season comes around. Sadly though, after this meeting customer service was something left to be desired. As requested we sent our bank statements over to the bookkeeper, it's as if it went into a black hole. I've been trying in touch with the office since November to no avail. I've sent over 5 emails to multiple people at the office only receive a reply that someone would be in touch and of course no one called me or emailed me back. Moreover, I called the office serval times since and yet again I'm told that someone would call me back, but receive no response. Two weeks ago I called again I was told that our bookkeeping would be done next week, but of course, we received nothing. I called yesterday to follow up and again, I was ignored. I'm in complete shock how unprofessionally and total disregard we've been shown especially when we were referred to this company. Numerous emails and phone calls have been ignore. I even stopped by the office and of course the bookkeeper was out "sick". I was given no reassurance by the owner or staff that my concerns would be addressed. Due to this, I'm left scrambling on how I'm going to get my bookkeeping and taxes done when I was told thing were being taken care. I trusted them and now I'm stressed and left out to dry. I would be happy extremely cautious in hiring them.
