Once you get thru triage they make you wait hrs to see a doctor that when you go in the back see hanging out talking with other staff instead of addressing the injured and sick people in the lobby. This hospital care is terrible no care about the people they are here to help. read more

Worst hospital I ever been to they literally keep you waiting for hours I left the hospital in tears and not treat & I was in a lot of pain

Absolutely, 100%, hands down the WORST experience I've ever had. I wish I had checked the reviews before I went. I came in around 8:45/9ish. It is now 2am in the morning and I decided to just leave. I never even saw a doctor. While I was waiting a guy came in and just started to sleep with his pants down and shoes off in the waiting room. No one even cared to ask if he was okay or to ask to pull his pants up. I've been in and out of the hospital for about 10 years now and I've NEVER waited for more than 3 hours. It wasn't even that busy. Even when I asked the front desk lady how much longer it would be she just told me to ask someone else. I waited about 2 hours just to ask a question, and then I couldn't even get a straight answer. I'm just visiting for the week but I suggest you don't come here if you need help. Literally go anywhere else!! Just wow. Terrible. read more

This hospital has no empathy for people in the emergency room. Staff here is unprofessional, people are in pain and this one young lady is rolling her eyes, saying she doesnt have time for a woman that was having chest pain. Someone else fell asleep in the corner she said she's gonna leave him and not wake him up ( remind you some people has been here more the nine hours. Yelling she doesnt get paid enough. Jefferson Bucks ER is the absolutly worst ER. The staff is outright rude. They only treat you if your are a surgical candidate or have diverticulitis. Otherwise the th just ignore you. Then send you home even if you are unable to eat or drink and told them its food poisoning. They did nothing but sit around chatting with each oth on end. All they cared about was analyzing what they should order for luch and which restaurant they should choose. read more

Had to take my wife to the ER last week due to a lung and breathing issue. We registered at the ER desk and within 5 minutes she was taken inside. Very extensive exam and testing. They took her to a bed area for more testing and an IV. Bottom line was she was admitted treatments began. Outstanding care throughout. She's doing much better now and hopefully we can stay away from all hospitals. read more

So, I broke my femur this spring. Because it's supposed to be the hardest bone in the body, and nearly impossible to break without a car wreck, I got orders for a Bone Density Scan. Got there a bit early, taken right back, paperwork done, and took a quick nap on the table. I think I was out of there in less than fifteen minutes, leaving JUST after my actual appointment time. Amazingly professional, friendly staff, highly recommend! RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT, specifically. Past trips with my wife to the ER have also gone well. read more

I came in with what showed in the report as blood pressure of 208/100. After lying there and getting some tests done, a few hours later, it showed 138/75. I asked the doctor "what happened? How did you bring that down?" And this was a question I asked because I'd like to remember that if it happened again.... the doctor said, "don't worry about that number." I'm in the ER thinking I'm dying and I'm just supposed to accept a sudden turn of a medical condition. Then they said, "we found nothing" and "I should check with my primary care doctor (which I didn't have at the time)".... So after the visit, I try to make appointments with doctors covered by my insurance in the area... one told me next appointment was in 2 months, another was 4 weeks... one mocked me because I was really upset and crying about this (as I was terrified because I thought I was dying)... basically, no one cared. The hospital didn't seem to. Their answer was "the doctor did everything right" because apparently malpractice was more important than what the actual condition could be or was. They wouldn't bring it to a cardiologist despite acknowledging a problem with the heart... they just figured "it's fine. Go home" I didn't need to be admitted but I wanted some answers... and they had no interest in giving me any. Either they didn't know or were more interested in shielding themselves from a lawsuit which I had no interest in filing. I literally wanted to know because my mom nearly died from something similar... but apparently, that's not important to anyone but me. Only reason I got some answers from other people were that the patient portal they have gave me all the lab results and test results, so I sent that to a family member who's an RN. I didn't even get to sign discharge papers... they just put an X there as if I signed them. read more

My father was trying to rest after being brought in via ambulance when I heard the commotion outside his room. I stepped out to ask them to lower their voices, given the nature of the ward and the need for a peaceful environment. Despite my polite request, when I returned to the room the red headed (orange-red) shouted, "Welcome to the ER, where we are loud." This response was unprofessional and entirely unnecessary, especially considering the circumstances. Furthermore, the argument between the two employees, which appeared to be about hospital policies, was not appropriate to conduct in a public place, particularly near patients who require rest and calm. Such behavior reflects a lack of professionalism and respect for patients and their families. The incident I witnessed was disappointing and has caused me to question the quality of care and the standards upheld by your institution. Professionalism, empathy, and respect are essential qualities for healthcare providers, and I trust that Jefferson Bucks Hospital values these principles as much as I do. read more

The emergency room here is an absolute joke! I came in with my sister around 830 PM last night as she was on the ground violently throwing up blood. by the way, this was her third day in a row at this emergency room which I guess isn't a cause for alarm bells to the staff. They brought her back for an EKG for 2 minutes and we've now been sitting in the waiting room for just under 5 hours and she's filled up 2.5 puke bags! meanwhile there's about 5 other patients in the waiting room suffering and no one's seen a nurse or doctor do anything other than walk by and ignore everyone for damn near an hour at this point. If you have any sort of medical emergency DO NOT come here!!!! read more

A dear friend of mine was admitted here for a broken ankle, and succumbed to COVID pneumonia after being force shoved on a COVID floor. This was two years ago just before the vaccines were patented. I truly believe most staff do try their best, but after learning from others experiences at this location, this is unfortunately another sown tragedy. I'm still grieving, and that's not really okay nor do I need help myself. I miss my friend, aside from many others who knew them. They weren't rich or well connected, but still meant a lot of people that became like their family. That still should count. Forever missed. I don't know how some of the staff here sleeps at night knowing how many others loved ones shared a similar unfortunate fate. read more

I unfortunately had to visit this hospitals ER a few days ago. I don't want to go into why I needed to visit, just that I left with a few unwanted stitches. When I walked in, I went straight to the sign in window and as soon as I sat down there was a nurse next to me to check me out which I thought unusual, but great service. They told me to follow nurse to the back and not to worry about the insurance information, that they would get it later, which again I thought unusual, but great service. There were about 6 people sitting in waiting area ahead of me and there I was going to the back before them, I felt a little guilty then fear set in because the only reason they are rushing me back is because my illness/injury was more urgent then theirs! The nurse must of noticed the fear on my face and she calmed me down, she was great, and the doctors and nurses I encountered during my visit were 100% top notch, I was impressed with their professionalism, and the quality of care I received. This was closest hospital with an ER to me at the time of my injury but in the future if I was given the choice of which ER to visit I definitely would choose this ER again, mostly because they were so attentive to my injury and my emotion state of mind that went along with it. I did not feel like I was just a number or just another body they had to fix and rush out the door. They took excellent care of me and I'm grateful to them for that! read more

I arrived at the ER at 10:15am. I did have to waited about 3 hrs to get back to the triage and then had to wait for doctor several minutes. I didn't mind at all. It was busy but organized. Everyone was so nice. A resident doctor came in and I gave her the story of my injury. She ordered bloodwork and an ultrasound. The person to draw my blood was there within a few minutes and someone was there before she was done to whisk me to ultrasound department. It went quickly and before I knew it I was done. I was released at 330pm. I have no complaints at all. Thank you to the ER staff for taking good care of me. read more

The billing department is a nightmare. 1: I caught my hand in a log splitter- they coded it as an auto accident. 2: I had to wait for a covid test to operate...(No longer classified as Emergency Surgery) I finally straightened out the coding error that THEY made....(bear in mind- I'm getting collection calls.) They take no responsibility for this nightmare. I request a final bill. I pay it... Fast forward two years -I just got a call from a collection agency- I apparently still owe them money- but no one really knows what's been paid payment went. I arrived at 4pm. I was taken back at 1am, nine hours later. I do not fault them for this- they were very busy, and inpatients were backfilling into the emergency room. Once I got back into a room the nurses were amazing, and the doctors were excellent. They both went out of their way to make sure my questions were answered, and that I was as comfortable as possible. The doctor took the time to reach out to my surgeon to confirm the diagnosis with him. Despite the wait, the care was top-notch. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you need an ultrasound, they are on call during the night and have two hours to get to the hospital. I elected for a CT scan instead, which was quicker and provided more detail that was able to confirm the diagnosis. 10/10 doctors, nurses, and supporting staff. Dr. Finkle was great. read more

They told me they think I have a brain bleed and then let me sit for three hours with no idea how long it would be till I got my CT scan. The doctor was then extremely rude and unapologetic when I asked to leave and said if I die it's not their responsibility. read more

The thermometers don't work u would not be alive before u knew if u had a fever nothing is disposable I think if I had to open and close an orthopedic floor for 5 years something should tell u nobody would really choose to use ure facility so Many lazy uncaring people work there they emphasize infection control and they promote filthy environment and dress code is a joke the cafeteria food Is so degrading to workers visitors so unaccomodating to family members it's very sad this facility gets away with so many things I feel terrible for patients who don't know any better or have no other choice for healthcare read more

I had an MRI with and without contrast done on Friday afternoon. I was a bit anxious about having it done; the MRI technicians did an excellent job, putting my mind at ease and explaining the procedure. They asked me if I needed a blanket before-hand and if I was doing okay during the MRI. Good job! read more

Dr. Selgrath is my orthopedic surgeon he preformed knee surgery at Aria bucks Arrived that morning was greeted by front desk And admissions who quickly processed me into the hospital system. Was then sent to hospitality suite who confirmed who I was and people who were with me they kept my family informed throughout the day. Long post. Have been to ER here three times in the last 9 months. It has a few issues, but overall the care is very good. First occasion I was here with acute cellulitis, was told to go straight to the ER by one of my doctors, apparently potentially serious condition. The nurses and the doctors seemed extremely competent. They took blood to check for sepsis, asked for drugs I was on, comprehensive questions. Ended up being admitted, pumped full of IV antibiotics for 2 1/2 days, given steroids to reduce the swelling, etc. Food better than average for a hospital, like cafe food, only healthier. They didn't secure the IV in my arm very well, that vein now seems to have significant blockage. Don't have "non-critical" meds in stock, like allergy meds, acid blockers, etc., so a long term stay would require family to bring in your own meds. Second visit also there for cellulitis, non-acute, was there around 2 AM, so doctors seemed less attentive, possibly just tired. Was given prescription for antibiotics and sent home. Third visit I had a kidney stone stuck between my kidney and bladder, causing me significant pain, had been stuck there for over 3 hours. They did CAT scan, all the moving around apparently jostled the stone loose, so pain had gone away at that point. Scan confirmed blockage had resolved, and stones were in the bladder. Was discharged shortly thereafter. Stones passed painfully next two days. Two caveats to note with this facility. Receptionist/billing records and Care records are apparently not kept in sync. Have to give duplicate information to both departments, found out on last visit they had saved my husbands SSN as mine. Whoops! Took almost an hour to convince them they were wrong and for them to get supervisor authority to resolve it. Second, sometime during my first visit they somehow mixed up my email address with some other patient in their care and later received a portal invitation for that patient sent to my email address. Needed to call their support department twice to get resolved. They need to be more careful and consolidate their billing and care records, they are apparently on two different systems. But bottom line, this is a great place to go in an emergency. read more

Have been sitting in the waiting room in the worst pain of my life for over an hour. Nothing. I could not have imagined a hospital allowing a person to suffer this badly let alone the danger of not finding out how dangerous the issue is. Update- they left me in the waiting room for over two and a half hours curled up in a ball trying to stop the pain fighting back tears. I wouldn't have cared if they brought me back and left me in the hall to evaluate at least take me out of the pain. When I was in the back somebody else that was waiting ended up passing out and falling to the floor. What was most striking was the cavalier attitude while they took their time to go get the woman off the floor and bring her to the back there was no sense of urgency whatsoever. Perhaps this Aria hospital has changed in some ways sincere Jefferson added their name. But it seems the same in more ways. I was there recently for blood work. Why my doctor asked me to go there, I really don't get it. First, there is no sign outside hospital indicating where to go. After you go to Outpatient near ER, where you are greeted by a woman sitting slouching in a chair in the hallway, asking if she can help you. Then back to front parking, where there is limited handicap parking. So I park in the lot and struggle to climb massive stairway. Once in lobby, no one takes temperature. Receptionists ask many questions, which was good. That is why a two rating. Then you go to an unpleasant so called Security who pushes a mask at you and a stick on identification without a word. Around several hallways, still no signs. Someone sees me wandering and comes out of their office to direct me.to s dark end of a hallway. Only sign you see is, Sign in Here. But no sign in sheet. What they really want is that you take one of the nearby forms, fill it out and put it in a basket. Curt young lady takes your insurance and looks for your faxed order. Of course the doctor's office had not faxed over the order ( a Jefferson doctor). Then another unpleasant curt woman comes for me and takes me down a hallway to another questionable site. I complimented the student who drew the blood. Wrong move!! The leader/ super quickly snorted " this is not her first stick". Another unpleasant worker! I hate that I have to have a procedure done there because my doctor is now affiliated with them. However, I will never go for blood work again just so Jefferson can bill insurance. I much prefer Quest. Much friendlier and nicer atmosphere. I will just pray the procedure goes well because of the doctor. Something has always been wrong at that facility. My husband was there many times and I'll just say, he is no longer on earth. His doctor was affiliated with Aria. Never again ! I will do blood work with Quest or Lab Corp and hopefully never have to go to Aria/Jefferson again. My preference of hospital has always been St Mary's. But I was told there are Jefferson doctors at Aria Jefferson. The site of the name Aria frightens me. Plus, I see the staff, so far, has not changed. First impressions are important. Is everyone working in healthcare angry? This hospital needs more Covid Prótection I think. I get my temperature taken at the hairdresser, but not before I enter a hospital. I had on my own mask and didn't need one of the cheap hospital masks that I was told to replace mine or put theirs on top of mine. Nuts. I did neither! read more

Ok, there are a lot of negative reviews here BUT my experience with Jefferson Bucks County has been excellent. My mom had a double knee surgery with Dr Booth. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist named Crystal who welcomed us like family. She explained the process, timing, and even told us the most comfy place for me to wait for my mom. After they took my mom bacK for her surgery I was invited to sit in a waiting room where liaison James informs you of each and every thing that is going on. I mean down to telling me the progress of the surgery and what knee they were presently working on. As a bit of a control freak I appreciated this level of transparency. Afterwards you get a call in that same waiting room from the Dr letting you know how surgery went and to answer any questions... after my mom was out of recovery she was put in her own private room ( they are all private rooms ). From there the staff could not have been more caring and helpful. They were excellent. They responded to my moms every need and treated her like they would their own mom. RN Robert, Exelle, Cherrelle, and so many more excellent care givers provided a service that is truly 5 stars. I called the ER for an ambulance to take my husband to the hospital while I was driving to get home. When I entered home, the ER guy was just standing there waiting for my husband to put on his clothes while he was standing helpless and screaming of pain! No help at all! They did the same when we got to the hospital. My husband was in terrible pain and couldn't move but the guys were saying to him to hurry up to get on the bed! No physical help again! The doctor was good but overall they let you stay in pain for a long time before giving you any treatment. read more

My fiancé had surgery here. The reason I'm giving only 3 stars is because he was there a total of 4 days and never once given a clean gown. The bed was changed once at my request. That is beyond disgusting. I never saw any of the nurses wash or use sanitizer on their hands. read more

My husband went there to have his gallbladder removed and the doctor nicked his bile duct. He collapsed after arriving home and had to be rushed back. The nurse attending him said " well you know men are babies". I insisted my husband was in severe pain. A passing doctor suggested a nuclear test and my husband was rushed back into surgery to repair the bile duct. The same nurse was unconcerned and said "well sometimes things happen".
